Rolando Rivera, MD, FACS, is a 1996- Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His postgraduate training includes his internship conducted at the Brooke Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, TX (1996-1997), residency served at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville (2000-2005), as well as his fellowship in female urology, pelvic surgery, and urodynamics performed at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida (2005-2006). Dr. Rivera completed his Bachelor of Science degree in General Sciences in 1992 at The University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attained board certification in urology and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery with the American Board of Urology. Furthermore, Dr. Rivera has been honored as Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Gerald P. Murphy Scholar in Urology at UPR School of Medicine, and inductee of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society at UPR School of Medicine.
