Hello! I wanted to ask a question about keyhole top surgery. Would someone with a size C cup size be able to have the procedure? I'm just a young kiddo whose curious about the future so I wanted to ask! Sorry to bother.
Hi! Thanks for asking. The keyhole works best for individuals with minimal chest tissue. The only way to know for sure if this procedure will give you your desired results is to schedule a consultation with one of our surgeons! Dr. Mosser or Dr. Facque can help design a surgical plan that works for you!

Does the fishmouth incision leave the chest as flat as double incision? Also, do you preform hysterectomies?
The fishmouth technique does result in considerable flatness! The biggest difference between the DI and fishmouth is the placement of the horizontal scar. Unfortunately, we do not perform hysterectomies at this time.

What top surgery procedures do you offer that keep nipple sensitivity?
Hi there! A number or techniques can be used to help maintain nipple sensitivity: periareolar, keyhole, fish mouth, buttonhole, and inverted T. Even though a double incision requires free nipple grafts, there is a possibility that nipple sensation will return! Consider reading through our website to learn more about our incisions & techniques: https://www.genderconfirmation.com/surgery/

Hello, i was womdering if you think its ok for people to get a breast reduction first if theyre unsure of getting top surgery. Im enby and have considered the T-Anchor method but i dont want to do anything i will regret so maybe a breast reduction is less serious. Please help me.
Hi there! That’s a great question. Folks are able to get a breast reduction and still opt for subsequent top surgeries. This article addresses this topic a bit more in depth: https://www.genderconfirmation.com/having-top-surgery-after-a-breast-reduction/
Let me know if you have any more questions!

I know this question is a long shot but I was wondering if there’s any chance that any of your masculization surgeries could be covered by OHIP?
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out. We do work with a number of different insurance providers. The full list can be found here: https://www.genderconfirmation.com/get-insurance-approval/
If your particular provider isn’t on the list, you’re still able to reach out to our Insurance Concierge to see if perhaps your provider will cover your procedure!

“We at GCC would like to offer a heartfelt message of support to our community members impacted by institutional racism, and to extend our empathy for the very real pain and fear that these individuals experience. Black lives matter, and we stand behind you in solidarity.” — Dr. Scott Mosser
▫️ Dismantling racial inequality is an essential part of our mission in actualizing gender affirming medical care both locally & globally. In more than 10 years of providing gender affirming medical care we’ve learned that barriers to care for most of our patients, and more so for our Black patients and our patients of color include :
• Cost of Gender Affirming Medical Services⠀⠀⠀
• Cost of Travel & Lodging related to Gender Affirming Medical Services ⠀
• Lack of BIPOC representation in the medical field
This team takes great responsibility in our mission; therefore, we must acknowledge that Dr. Mosser is a cisgender, white person. Through listening & asking ourselves difficult questions in regards to how to show up stronger for the QTIPOC community, we must do better.
▫️ This list is just a start. We know that there are conversations to be had & actions for how our team can address these barriers beyond this moment of heightened awareness.
▫️ Our first step forward is by way of asking questions centered around how our team can best support & elevate the voices of trans communities of color. Although we recognize that to solicit information from our community is to ask for labor, we invite those compelled to influence our investigations to respond to the survey we have shared here:
https://forms.gle/ThffLQ1tYXDesXWN9
▫️ In the survey, community members may choose to write down the name of a Black trans led organization that they have felt empowered, inspired, or supported by. We will be making a donation to each organization named in the survey in honor of the labor in giving us this feedback. We see you, we’re listening, and we appreciate our community. #blacktranslivesmatter #blacklivesmatter #drmosser

This is a Double Incision top surgery procedure by Dr. Scott Mosser in San Francisco, CA ✨ The Double Incision Method is commonly the most popular form of chest masculinization surgery. This procedure involves the surgical removal of breast tissue and excess skin, as well as resizing and placement of the areolas as skin grafts to a more masculine position. The result is a flat chest with a horizontal scar on each side of the chest. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These results are a reflection of this individual patient and it is important to be clear that each individual’s top surgery results will be unique. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀Our team shares this content in effort to create essential visibility for the medically necessary gender affirming procedures available at Dr. Mosser’s Gender Confirmation Center 🌟❣️⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These images are resources for individuals seeking to improve their wellbeing 💞
Please head to the genderconfirmation.com/before-after/ for uncensored before & after photo galleries that include each incision type performed by Dr. Scott Mosser & The Gender Confirmation Center Team.

“Dr. Mosser has great bedside manner, is open to all questions and concerns, is clearly very versed in all forms of top surgeries and varying gender identities. He has a great and friendly team he works with, and did an AMAZING job with my surgery,” writes Jules (they/them) as the next #AllOfUs Member joining The Gender Confirmation Center’s #AllOfUs Project by Dr. Scott Mosser.
The #AllOfUs Project takes place with a new post each week from one of Dr. Mosser’s previous patients on The Gender Confirmation Center Instagram 🌟
Jules kindly shared “During my top surgery journey, I learned that it was much easier than I had expected. The process was a breeze, the day of surgery was smooth, and my recovery has been much, much, easier than expected. I have hardly any pain, no bruising, and the only hard part has been sleeping on my back. I learned to live your truth no matter the fear, and am so grateful I chose Dr. Mosser’s team to aide me in this life-changing journey...”
Tumblr media
Jules continues to share thoughts on preparing for top-surgery, “The most helpful information was honestly talking to others who had just been through it. I linked up with one of Dr Mosser’s recent patients and they gave me a run down from beginning to end, which definitely helped calm my nerves and prepare...” and continued “also add in that the office staff, especially Kiana and Georgina were always there to answer my emails/calls with questions which was very helpful.”
“I think the Instagram page you guys have should be written down, emailed, spoken about, to your patients, so people can reach out and connect with others and form a little network/community...”
Tumblr media
The GCC team is extremely grateful for this feedback, connections and all learning opportunities that improve, expand and increase access to our community built content.
THANK YOU Jules for sharing your journey & insightful that will inspire others to connect, learn & share information 👍❣️

“Top surgery for me has been life changing, because it removed a a huge amount of dysphoria from my everyday life, and has helped reduce some of my chronic pain as well.” Please meet Emmett (he/they), the 75th #AllOfUs Member by The Gender Confirmation Center’s #AllOfUs Project. Emmet kindly shared time with our team so we could share their journey with each of you!
“I think it’s important for those who haven’t had top surgery yet to know that it’s okay not to feel ready, even if it’s something you really want. This was my first major surgery, and I actually had to reschedule my date from my original to one about eight months further out. In that time I was able to work with a trans masc therapist who was several years post op, and that helped me immensely to put myself in the right headspace for surgery and recovery. This also gave me the insight that I needed to switch from D.I. to having periareolar instead, which is a choice I’m extremely happy I made.”
“I also want those who haven’t had surgery yet to know that it’s okay to take time to adjust after surgery, and not to have that happy reaction that we see posted online all the time. In my preop folder there was a chart about the post op emotional rollercoaster and that helped me a-ton, because I needed to go through the first couple of months of the healing process before I felt comfortable in my skin again.”
Tumblr media
Thank you Emmett for joining The Gender Confirmation Center by Dr. Scott Mosser’s #AllOfUs Project - it is wonderful to have you as a part of our virtual library of all bodies and all gender identities! If you are a previous patient of Dr. Mosser’s and would like to be featured, pleaS send our team a direct message. We’d love to reconnect with you.

“I’d say bring clothing for all weather just incase and a light windbreaker because it’s a little chilly and it’s not uncomfortable to wear with drains. Stay close to the doctors office just incase,” wrote Cailin (he/him) as a tip if you’re planning to travel to San Francisco for a gender-affirming procedure. Cailin is the 74th feature of The Gender Confirmation Center by Dr. Scott Mosser’s #AllOfUs Project and joins to share helpful knowledge and images of his top-surgery journey as a previous patient of Dr. Mosser’s Gender Confirmation Center ✨
Tumblr media
Cailin highlighted his timeframe for traveling after surgery and more typing, “I had to stay in San Francisco for 2 and a half weeks for check ups and all that so I made sure I had plenty of money set aside and oh I would definitely recommend having a loved one go with you a family member or best friend. It’s nice having someone to help take care of you but also someone you won’t get sick of 😂”
Tumblr media
“I researched for about a year and I just liked the outcome of his previous surgeries the most and I talked to a couple of his patients on Instagram and they said the staff was amazing and so that’s why I chose the Gender Confirmation Center. It was a very easy process everybody was super nice and helpful. I traveled from Idaho to get it done there and it was definitely worth it.”

Meet Kam (they/them). Kam is the 72nd #AllOfUs Member and kindly shared their time with The Gender Confirmation Center team about what has changed for them since having top-surgery with Dr. Scott Mosser. Kam's journey is documented in their Instagram profile @strongplant_ along with some shared of their words below. Thank You for joining the #AllOfUs Project Kam:
Tumblr media
Kam types, "I knew top surgery was going to be a lot and when getting to San Francisco was becoming a struggle (who was going to go with me, where I was going to stay). It all hit me very hard that I can't do this 100% alone. I needed a team and I needed help. It's probably why I choose to stick with Dr. Mosser and traveling out of state. They were always willing to work with me and help me figure something out even before I was 100% certain Dr. Mosser would be my surgeon.
Tumblr media
"After having top surgery I realize now I need to take care of myself and focus on my own well being. Aside from skating freely again, I also play guitar, I work out more regularly (boxing usually) and I find I'm more outgoing." Kam shares so many wonderful details about their top surgery on their Instagram account here:
Kam's summarized their thoughts into their words by sharing "top surgery is super important for the trans/nonbinary youth that seeks it because we deserve to feel like our peers and not shamed because we "don't know any better" on account of our age."
Thank you so much for joining the #AllOfUs Project Kam. We can to wait to do a follow up post with you and continue to stay connected as you share your journey with #AllOfUs. Please check out Kam’s profile - our post had a character limit and we want to make sure you can learn as much as we have from their posts!
