Shaista S. Safder, MD, attended Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India, and was awarded her medical degree in 2001. Upon relocating to the United States, her pediatric residency was served at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where she was Chief Resident and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Dr. Safder is fellowship trained in pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine/University Hospitals Case Medical Center Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She received board certification in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology from the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
