So not employees but people who had or were friends with people who had experiences with Jon Risinger. I saw someone put the first twitter thread on the reddit but the reddit post along with comments identifying Jon as the streamer in question based on past tweets were removed. I found the other two accounts when I was trying to manually find the first account. I guess it makes a bit more sense regarding how Christina felt about working with him and others during her time there.

This is Brian who worked in production and animation and this topic feels like something not enough people are talking about. It wasn't just him who contemplated suicide, Mica did as well, and I think some others from animation talked about it to. The workplace environment was that bad and I don't know if it's really hit people that someone could've died over this shit.

You can also read the animator's experience here. This is also not the first time that management was informed of things like sexual harassment and didn't do anything. Last week someone came forward about Adam Kovic of Funhaus. After this Autumn Farrell confirmed that Adam was the person she was referring to in her twitlonger which you can read here. Bruce Greene also came out and said he left Funhaus because HR did nothing about Adam.

I don’t want to bring the RT/AH drama to my personal blog but I have an important thing to say, and you’re compiling.

As someone who spent ~5 years watching hundreds of hours of their content, the fact that their employees are overworked is not news! They joked about it for years. Especially the animation department. There were countless videos and podcasts where they joked about the horrible working conditions of the animation department and praised them for putting up with it. When Monty died 90% of everything anyone said about him was how he worked himself to the bone for the company and how fantastic they all thought that was. And honestly, that’s incredibly messed up.

Listening to all of this go down I honestly feel like there is a lot that us fans can learn from this. We aren’t responsible for the choices the company made and continue to make, but I can’t be the only one who uncomfortably laughed along to those jokes and thought “well if they’re joking about it, they must be okay with it, right?” I spent years loving this company, and I saw TONS of red flags. I just chose not to look at them, because I loved the content I was seeing and didn’t want to deal with the thought that I was supporting something perpetrating toxic behaviours. Now that it’s all coming out, I’ve been responding in shock and surprise like everyone else but deep inside there’s something needling me to remember all the times I chose not to recognize that this was happening in front of me.

There is a type of culpability in that too. We should have never let them admit to us how bad it was and play it off like a joke. Please, if content creators you love are joking about mistreating their employees, point it out, ask questions, let them know it’s not funny. We can’t guarantee their behaviour will change, but it’s better than sitting in silence. It’s better than laughing along and hoping everyone else is in on the joke too. Because if they can admit it publicly without receiving any backlash, why would they ever make a change? If they have told us all their crimes, and we have all agreed it’s funny, why would anyone ever feel like there is power in coming forward?

Anyway. That’s just my thoughts.

I'm sorry I just saw this anon, but you're god damn right. We all ignored the concerning jokes when we probably shouldn't have, even if we can't control the comany's choices.

I'm glad Jeremy owned up to this. It's expected that you apologize when called out directly but it takes courage to come forward when left anonymous to take accountability for a hurtful and shameful action.

Gaming was full of toxic gamer 'bro' culture back in RT's early days and that's exactly who it attracted. It's naive to think your favorites didn't fall into that category or were any different. It's certainly disheartening to hear just how bad it was and just how awful the people we've grown to love used to be. This is a cleansing moment. It's a moment of truth. Rooster Teeth has much to reckon with and fans of their various projects have some decisions to make. Their remaining talent has some decisions to make.

No one should be judged for whatever they decide -except Rooster Teeth which needs to be fucking sued a million times over for allowing workplace harassment, not paying employees and emotional damages.
