How Health Care Sector in India Can Be Improvised?
Healthcare is one of the high potential sectors in the economy of the modern day world. India is one of the fastest growing and promising economies all over the globe. However despite such a rapid growth healthcare sector is one of the areas wherein more focus is required. In India majority of the sector is dominated by the private sector while a small part is dominated by government sectors when it comes to the Urban Healthcare management. There is a strong need of educating the people about the health care segment and the healthcare insurance plan which can help the people in the time of need. There are less than 20% of people in the land of 1.2 billion people who have their health insurance. This number is seriously low and there is a dire need to improvise the healthcare standards and policies in the country. India spends nearly 2% of the entire GDP on the healthcare segment.
However, the amount is low. The infant mortality rate is quite higher especially in the rural areas and hence there is a very strong need of health care infrastructure so that good facility can be provided to the people. Another important thing is education; people need to be educated about the good hygiene and how they can keep themselves healthy and fit. As per Healthcare CSR in India: A Challenging Journey But Incredible Possibilities and there are definitely endless possibilities in the country if the people are educated and motivated in the right manner. The government is trying their best to bring down the infant mortality rate and they are also bringing in new projects for the benefit of people and healthcare industry. The same is clearly visible in the National Health Policy 2017.
In the modern times, government has started schemes like Swachh Bharat Campaign which educates people on good hygiene and also motivates them to clean their surroundings. The cleaner and greener the environment is better is the living conditions and it can help in improvising the life expectancy as well. Now day’s schemes are more focused on prevention rather than cure. Hence government is trying their level best to educate people to follow the good health practices to keep themselves healthy.
