simple and useable
chapter 6
In chapter 6 he comments that being auto customizable is a designers easy way out. It seems lazy and even though customers may like it, it would be better to have a site that has a good layout. He also comments that it's better to hide things that are not mainstream from most consumers because it will make them confused.
chapter 7
The fourth strategy for simplifying the DVD remote control is to cheat. He comments to make the remote or the buttons have only very few functions but have the rest in other external devices. Like having the running app in the phone and have only limited data there and have the other data into the computer.
Chapter 8
In chapter 8 he comments that instead of saying how to make things simpler people should comment where should we move the complexity. People are forgetful creatures, so to make things easier for people put the right information in the right pages and hide the complexity. Because if it gets too complexed, people just stop paying attention

Simple and Useable 3-5
chapter 3-
The first chapter is about trying to show the best strategy for simplicity. They said there is 4 ways to show simplicity, remove— get rid of all the unnecessary buttons until the device is stripped back to its essentials.Organize— arrange the buttons into groups that make more sense.Hide— hide all but the most important buttons behind a hatch so they don’t distract users.Displace— create a very simple remote control with a few basic features and control the rest via a menu on the TV screen, displacing the complexity from the remote control to the TV. Some people do a little of each, but usually they
Chapter 4-
the next chapter deals with how removal may not be the best options always. An example they showcase is the glass elevator in Japan. Though they removed every part of human interaction, it was also it's downfall. People like to be in control with what they're using and not being able to makes people feel uncomfortable.
Chapter5-
Organizing by alphabet, though sounds like a good idea, is actually not. It makes people confused and people are sometimes not sure in how to look up items. some of the best ways to organize is by grids or in timelines. But to make sure not to have lines. Instead of lines the better way to show hierarchy is be negative spaces.

3 scenarios
1.  Think that you want to send someone an ocean away a greeting card, but didnt want to send it by mail because you want a custom made one that they would get right away. You can use tiger print app store to do that, without much hassle and can be sent via email. And they can also view it by facebook and any other social network.
2.When it is someones birthday and you want to send someone a greeting card that is specially made for them. You can create a card on the app and put in their address to be sent to them either physical copy and a digital copy. The physical copy will have more pop to it, with better production value.
3. When you want to make your own card and not just use the template, but is not artistically inclined, then people can send their thoughts either by small sketches or in text through the site and a designer will try to custom create one for the person.
