in the past year, i've slowly eased out of my B-T hyperfixation and focused more on other things. but i feel like it was good timing in a way, to have fallen in love with the band and their music last year. i got to be a part of the fan club and experience real time updates and listen to Acchan's radio show and read everyone's recent interviews as they came out.

so i'm heartbroken over the latest news about Atsushi's passing. he made a big and lasting impression on me. my personal style and tastes evolved because of Buck-Tick's influence, and mostly due to Acchan's aesthetic. he's just that kind of person that would be amazing enough to change me just because i witnessed his existence. i still want to be as cool as him – to live authentically and unapologetically. kindly. and to let my creativity bloom unhindered.

i'm ranting a bit. but i'm so grateful i found B-T when i did and that even if i'll never be able to see them live like i hoped, i got to share in the joy their art brought to others.

i can't imagine how the other members are feeling right now, having lost their dear friend so suddenly. Imai's latest post on Instagram gutted me. i hope that the four of them can heal and find solace during such a difficult time. my heart goes out to them.
