Why Dubai Desert Safari is Popular in Winter
Dubai's desert safari is a must-do activity, and its popularity peaks during the winter months. The cooler weather transforms the desert into an inviting playground for adventure seekers and families alike. Unlike the sweltering summer heat, winter temperatures range between 15°C and 25°C, creating the perfect conditions for outdoor experiences like dune bashing, camel riding, and sandboarding.
Winter coincides with holidays in many countries, drawing tourists seeking unique getaways. The serene desert offers a refreshing contrast to the busy urban environment, and visitors can enjoy activities such as stargazing under clear skies or savoring Arabian cuisine at a traditional camp.
During summer, Dubai’s desert can be overwhelmingly hot, with temperatures soaring above 40°C, making outdoor activities challenging. Winter, however, allows tourists to fully embrace the magic of the desert, from sunrise hot-air balloon rides to cultural performances under the stars.
Dubai’s winter charm and its world-class infrastructure make the desert safari experience both comfortable and exhilarating. Whether you're traveling solo or with family, the desert offers something for everyone. For a memorable adventure, check out the best packages and options at Dubai Desert Safari.
Winter is undeniably the best time to explore Dubai's golden sands, offering an unparalleled mix of thrill and relaxation.

Boyfriend had friends in from the UK so we took them on a desert safari - my second, but we stayed overnight. The middle of the desert vomiting was the result of a crazy night drinking, not the dune bashing…

For Laura’s project, “A Trip Through My Eyes”
-“Part x”- NY, the entry”
Ellis Island.
Historically the point of entry for countless immigrants entering the United States Ellis Island has always been a place of historical significance and great beauty. I took this image a few years ago on a visit back “home” and it was an impactful experience. While I am told my grandparents came to this country from Russia in the early 1900’s through Canada and not Ellis island, it still holds a strong lock on my mind, and imagination. The lives and their stories that have passed through these gates, and their future generations of countless families are each a story unto themselves. Visit if you can, thank me later.
Always grateful Laura, and always looking forward to reading other “trips”
-sam

Workers at Walmart stores and the warehouses that supply those stores are striking across the country ahead of Black Friday, to protest what they say are poor working conditions and retaliation by Walmart.
In this photo — provided to Up w/ Chris Hayes by Warehouse Workers United — David Garcia and Manolo Fernandez, workers at a warehouse operated by a Walmart subcontractor in southern California, hold up a thermometer showing the temperature in warehouse at 102 degrees. Walmart says it does not control the conditions in the warehouses, which are run by the subcontractors.

I was emailed recently by someone asking how my site does so well in Google. They probably noticed that I don’t use meta-tags, I sometimes forget to put alt text on images and I’m not jamming every page with keywords. If you study up on SEO tactics you’ll see that I ignore most of them. Here is...
