Lost In Story

She had been warned of the book

But she did not listen

She was told not to enter the library

But she did not listen

Curiosity killed the cat

And the mouse was the book

It lured her slowly

At the darkest hours of the night

One night she walked

And walked

And walked

She walked into the library

It was unlocked to her surprise

Inside was a world of wonder

Words were floating in the air

A small hint of mystery lingered in the air

As she head towards a hidden door

A bookshelf was in her way

So she looked behind

And saw the door

She was trying to find

So she reached

And reached

And reached

And reached

She reached until she touched the knob

And with the graze of her skin

The door faded away

And a path was formed behind the bookshelf

She slipped into the space

As her heart began to race

She took a deep breath

And took a step in

The air was old

But her curiosity renewed

As she saw the book

She was told not to view

The book layed there

Still calling her

She gave in to her curiosity

And gave it a look

When she touched the cover

And opened the book

The pages began to move on their own

Turning fast as she backed away

She felt the room twisting with her inside

Her mind transported to the fictional world

But her body laid on the ground

Unmoving and without a sound
