Warrior Cats moment

I decided that screw it I am posting Warriors on main now and the other blog is just the archive for it.

I am gonna try to make it a whole rewrite au thing buuut we'll see how it goes! Currently calling it the CappuccinoRewrite but we'll see.

Design notes:

-Going with my own naming system which changes a few things, sparknotes is that apprentices get any suffix related to body parts or patterns (-fur, -tail, -throat, -dapple for example), so warriors cannot get them; no cats named after colors because colors and feelings/personalities are basically the same words in their language; honorifics are adverbs or adjectives like Running or Bright added at the start of a name, therefore those cannot be names; leaders get a new name upon receiving their nine lives, those names can break most of these rules because leaders are legendary.

-Fireheart my boy, I used to draw him with a full head of curls but the design felt too complex on the face so now it's just a couple tufts on the top. His cheek fluff, fluffy nose and floppy ears are going to be Firekin deadringers, everyone gets at least one. Other than that I like to make him striped and with a lighter belly to truly sell the fire look.

-Cricketpurr (Graystripe), who I love giving a stupid mustache to and then offloading it to all his children too. His nose is red because the figurine makes it red, and I like giving him a couple more stripes.

-Ravenscruff (Ravenpaw) who does not get an adult name because he dipped before that, and Dusthill (Dustpelt) (still thinking of changing it to something else... Dustmound maybe?) look alike because they're brothers. The white patches are the same, they also got a white tail tip, and the two pointed "mask" on Ravenscruff has the same shape as Dusthill's sickass eyebrows.

-Sandstorm my girlie, first time trying to give her the eyemask marking since designing her dad Stoatrun (Runningwind) and I think she looks nice, even if I might tweak the colors later.

-Bluestar! Her old name was Hailmoon. I like how the mane makes her look a bit like a wolf. Other than that I think her eyes look pretty.

-Blighted Aspenleaf (Spottedleaf) gave me trouble from start to finish BUT I think she looks pretty nice, her silly hair especially. I also love the little heart marking on her ear.

-Tigerslash (Tigerclaw) has braided stripes, which are like if leopard spots became stripes, with the center of a different color. Other than that though I might change their shape, especially the one on top of his head.

-Bogsnarl (Yellowfang) is extra fluffy and extra scruffy. Her pupils have a redder contour which I also wanna give to her son. Other than that it's a pretty standard design lol.

Hope yall like them and sorry for the hard pivot from one blog to another.

while it is technically July 1st over here, it is not in America. Yet. here's my OT3 of underdeveloped character that I give a spotlight to in my AU! Brindleface, Runningwind and Redtail! (or Gravelwing, Stoatrun and Maplehawk because I have my own naming convention hehehe)

I am Italian and my hand was also possessed as soon as I read the post.

-Tallstar is kissing Fireheart goodbye, It's super normal even if you don't know a person too well to greet or bid them goodbye like this. you only avoid this with complete strangers. Fireheart is quite confused because kisses aren't so casual in every country (only on the cheeks tho!).

-Kestrelflight and Harestar are participating in what I call "ingrained catholicism", where every single expression or exclamation has something to do with God, or Starclan in this case. I wanted Harestar to say "amen" but I didn't think it'd work so I came up woth "Shine upon us"

-Sunpaw is trying to avoid telling Pigeonflight that Furzepaw is going to meet on the border with her Shadowclan besties. Pigeonflight is having none of it. Here to showcase how every word carries movement when you speak, but also the fact that Pigeonflight is extra worried about a family tradition- family means a lot, so missing something like a personal family thing means something is wrong.

-Crowpaw is surprised his travelling buddy cooks rabbits like fish. He is disgusted and they will both start yelling in 5 seconds. How you cook food is also extra personal, but fucking up any Italian dish is like pissing on the American flag, even if nobody gets hurt you just made a lot of people mad lmao.

snuck in some personal AU concepts, like Pigeonflight being Furzepaw's grandpappy, and Stormfur's name being Tempestflow and him looking like Silverstream software on Graystripe hardware. Also my personal designs. Hope you like it!

Ok but has nobody thought about the fact that mayeb the new arc, "Changing Skies" might just be about those lost Skyclan warrriors?? Waspwhisker, the old deputy of Skyclan, is between them too! It would be kinda fun....

Idea that I might incorporate: Raggedstar takes Brokenstar's place in what he does (kit killing, driving out windclan etc.) and he remains a very popular leader in his own clan despite being a piece of crap. He's petty, he's always gotten what he wanted in life through fighting and it WORKS. Aaand Yellowfang does not wanna be his mate anymore because he's a piece of shit. And it hurts him to his core but he's a manchild and cannot deal with it in a good way. He takes Foxheart as his mate to make her jealous. it does not work. He forbids Brokenkit (who's gonna have a different name for a few reasons so he'll be Acornkit here) from visiting her or talking to her, and when Runningkit becomes her apprentice, him too. And she doesn't budge. He keeps undermining, ridiculing, tormenting her every day, and because the clan likes him a lot join in. And Yellowfang really, truly, does not give a shit anymore. she'll be as snappy and rude to them as she wants because she's right there, the senior clan medic, doing her job and keeping them alive after border skirmishes or greencough outbreaks. Raggedstar takes out his frustrations through fights very often. Windclan was a huge one of course, it felt good to have so much new territory, he felt powerful. but Yellowfang immediately pushed back, screaming at him of how much of a FLYBRAIN he just was, they cannot even hunt on the moors so now he has tree-lenghts of tree-lenghts of territory he cannot even use. But other cats backed her up officially for the first time, voicing that the senior medic was right, so he takes drastic measures so that nobody would say this again. Cut to the end of Into The Wild, Yellowfang's still got that fight in her, but she's tired. She cannot stand the swamp anymore, and Nightpelt.... He feels it's his duty to become leader, an old friend of hers, he wants to make it right by her. But quiet, unassuming Acornshell bides his time. That was his father they just threw out. Yes he did bad things, but even he, his own son, suffered them, and he was fine! He forgives Raggedstar in fact! He knows he meant well and he wasn't even that wrong! And he's the one, alongside Runningnose and Blackfoot, to help the new attack on Thunderclan with his father, new violence that thankfully ends badly for the ex-leader, with his death. Acornshell is kept as a prisoner, blinded by Yellowfang, as he spits insults at her, of how heretical she was for having her rightful leader killed. Tigerclaw sees the opportunity to have Bluestar lose even more credibility, and spreads the rumor of Raggedstar being alive, and Yellowfang having to tend to the prisoner all day and night because of the leader's orders. Nightstar is enraged at this- HOW DARE SHE HURT HER AFTER ALL OF HER HELP TO THUNDERCLAN? Tallstar agrees to help them, and the attack is launched.

But when Nightstar sinks his fangs into Acornshell instead of Raggedstar, not recognizing him until he notices the bent tail, it's too late. Bluestar is saved by a little miracle from Tigerclaw's attack, and the traitor is revealed as such in front of three clans. Nightstar is shaken, and willfully gives up his leadership in Shadowclan, not choosing exile only because he knows he's near the end, even if he could now take his nine lives. Tallstar is indebted to Thunderclan, and Shadowclan is now indebted to Thunderclan AND Windclan. Those are some big shoes for Cinderfur to fill- ah she's dead. and now half the camp is poisoned. Runningnose has a solution tho! right, Blackfoot? Dear repented and clearly chosen by Starclan Blackfoot? Right buddyyyyyy??

So Blackfoot, still technically deputy, is in hot waters, now DOUBLY indebted to Thunderclan because of Lynxpetal (check previous posts, it's Cinderpelt but not really) helping them with the plague. so when the newest leader Leopardstar offers an alliance? He didn't even think twice before accepting, she said she had a perfect candidate to help him out free of charge! It's TIGERCLAW again! and now he goes as "Tigerstar"! who died and made him leader?... Nightstar apparently. He's dead dead now.

and Blackfoot is just another pawn, again.

I have a whole AU in my head but I shall only say so much: - cats cannot be named after colors because in their language colors and emotions share words, and they have a LOOOT of them. You wouldn't call your kit Redkit because you wouldn't call them Lovekit or Love-so-strong-it-becomes-ragekit or Love-of-a-dead-personkit depending the shade of red they are. Only exception: names given to leaders, who lose their original name upon their ceremony (like Bluestar, or in their language, Solemnstar), or names of legendary cats which warp overtime (example: Gray Wing!) -Lionpaw becomes a medicine cat after trying to escape the DF's influence and being hurt badly by it, becomes Lionblossom, Hollyleaf becomes Hollyblaze and while she doesn't kill Ashfur, she starts the fire, the reveal is a bit more complicated because at the time is less about parentage and more about the fact she has no powers. -for rarepairs, I have become attached to Ashfur and Snowbird. Ashfur does not pine after Squirrelflight (they are kin) but he is a petty, gossipy, absolutely bratty cat who tries to figure out the parentage of the Three + Spark and Alder in a battle of wits with Leafpool (inspired by the Bonefall Petty Ashfur au) while being in a secret relationship with Snowbird this entire time! Berryheart gets his pettyness while not knowing she's from a half-clan relationship at all. (also half of their kits are given to Scorchfur as a single parent because jeez louise there's too many and Ashfur will already have waaaaay too much kin running around)
