not a roleplay question but for some reason tumblr says that your blog is popular in the #stellaris tag. which is cool. but i follow that tag for the game and you like! don't even post about it! i don't think your blog is at all related to the video game!
do you have an explanation. i am so confused
Sorry, haven't been online in ages. My blog was popular in stellaris because I was making posts about it for a small youtube channel called Co-op Comrades that had a series on it. If you're interested I could try to link you to the series

I was giving CPR to a friend whose head me and my friends could not find.
Like, she was a body without a head, but it looked like the head was never there to begin with.
Still, we knew it was supposed to be there so we kept on searching for it so we could reattach it, with no luck.
We looked for it everywhere in the sand.
It took me like 30 minutes to realize my mouth-to-mouth was not working since there was no mouth on the other side.
We never did find the head, but I did manage to restart my friend's heart.
I was weirdly blasé about it all.
It was not gorey at all, just unsettling.

As a biology nerd I have to say, this is great, but if you're talking dead skywhale? How did you miss dragons taking on the roll of sharks???? "Only seen singly and not usually active to concerve energy" fits dragons flawlessly. A dragon requires a LOT of meat and are often depicted as being able to sleep/hibernate for hundreds of years. From a biological standpoint it makes sense, if you wake up and gorge yourself to an extent that the surrounding ecosystem suffers, hibernating long enough for said ecosystem to regrow and flourish again is a great strategy. One however which goes completely out the window when faced with enough meat to feed multiple dragons and still have some left over. A skywhale fall could act as a catalyst for dragon mating in fact. With how they sleep, in caves and the like, they could be highly tuned to the seismic impact of the whale falls. Imagine like 20-30 dragons all waking up at the same time. It'd be the end or the local world........ and then they just fly over you, ignoring the herds of cattle normally obliterated by a woken dragon, and keep going. It'd be one of the few times you might have a safe interaction with one because It'd look at you, alive n tiny, and the whale, and just have NO reason to bother eating you for once!
For added cursed content tho: Legend states that the fall of a great beast foretold the rise of half dragons, a race long thought mere myth. Then a whale falls in a city... and suddenly the rare times a dragon can be conversed with becomes an every day occurrence, for tons of people at once, and by the time the whale is mostly reduced to bone, there are some odd eggs left in town, orphans popping up a handful of years later with scales and claws that don't seem to be quite hybrid lizardfolk or hybrid dragonborn
Low-level Dungeons & Dragons adventure where one of those big goofy skywhale things has died and crash-landed in the middle of town, and what initially appears to be a simple cleanup assignment abruptly takes a combat-heavy turn when the party gets to find out what feeds on skywhalefalls.
