11. the one where soulmates share extreme physical sensation — if one gets hurt, the other gets hurt, and etc.

     …The moment he sees Yugi Muto for the first time, he knows who he really is.  There are hints of bruises all over his wrists whenever he reaches for something, in all the same places as Seto’s.  He had only come here for one reason, to take the card that they rumored was around here, but this… complicates things.  It’s someone who he can’t kill.  …He’ll just have to squirrel him away somewhere, Seto thinks.  Somewhere nobody can touch him.  Somewhere Seto can forget about him.

        “You’re Yugi-kun, right?” Seto smiles in a soothing manner, closing the door to the classroom behind him.  “Sorry, it looks like we both pulled cleaning duty.”  At Seto’s request.  “There was something I wanted to talk about.”

       Seto rolls up his sleeves to show him all his bruises and cuts, freshly bandaged.  “Look familiar?”

     Yuugi knows that smile is dangerous, knows that nothing good will come of them being in close proximity because it would seem, Seto is quite aware of his maker. He gulps and he did stumble back from the very person he created. 

     “I never thought I’d meet you.” It is both an interesting and frightening experience as a whole. His throat clenches at the question and he knows exactly what is being asked here but he cannot bring himself to answer.

      A yelp escapes him and he stumbles back more, hands reaching for hands to keep them away from his neck because he knows, he knows what will happen. “You aren’t. I won’t let you, Seto.”

           “Hurry up and die,” he mutters, fingers twitching as he tries to push himself closer to Yugi, eyes taking on a broken, distorted quality.  “You know my name, you must be him.”

              He leans in, close enough that Yugi must be able to feel his breath.  “You really do like hurting other people, don’t you?”  His smile is wide and twisted.  “I’m the same way.”

              After all, everything that had ever happened to him was Yugi’s fault.  His parents’ death, his new father, all the things he had done because there was no other choice.  Even his birth was Yugi’s fault.

      Here goes nothing. Yuugi Mutou, famous mangaka and game loving dork, adds something new to his current manga he is working on. His first ever manga that got him on the map was about this character, the protagonist, being a able to jump into another characters world. He’s put his character into super hero comics, into other manga’s and so much more. Other mangaka’s and artists were so excited to collaborate and have his character come into their world too. It was fun. Tonight though, while working on a new page, he decides to change it up. Instead of jumping to another fictional world, he decides to have his character jump to the real world. Basically, he was going to make an entire side story of his character meeting him. He pauses, glances at the clock and winces, five am already? He really had to go grocery shopping and run some errands tomorrow so he sighs and comes to a stop for tonight. He’d finish it tomorrow then, or rather, later today. He’d stopped with the portal opening in his hometowns portal. 

        Little did he know….A portal actually opened in said park and out comes a person…His character. He’s too busy sleeping to notice and he only finds out when he wakes up. Errands are tossed out the window as he instead goes to the park because his curiosity is piqued. It was a huge coincidence! It had to be. There was no way fiction became a reality. But, lo and behold, there stands his character, near the portal. Their eyes meet and he sucks in a breath. 

“No way.”

       Seto smiles peacefully at his god, his creator, as if he’s not burning with anger and fear.  How much does the other still control?  Hell, he only barely comprehends what his existence had been up until this point.  Someone’s entertainment, blood and gore for a crowd.

       “Nice to meet you,” Seto waves, stalking closer, watching every movement he makes like a predator.  “So you’re the one, huh?”  The one who had made his existence a living hell, who had brought him this horrible knowledge.

      Seto lunges at the other, trying to wrap his fingers around his neck.  “I’m going to kill you slowly,” he whispers in his creator’s ear.

       “Yugi-” he squints.  No Yugi, just one of the peanut gallery.  Seto turns the charm back on, smiling placidly.  “Excuse me.  Would you happen to know where Yugi is?  The Shiten’ou are back and I do think he has an interest in meeting them,” if not by choice he’d take a hostage anyway.

      Then he pauses.  Measures himself compared to the peanut gallery boy.  He was around 5′8″.  Only one of Yugi’s friends was taller than him, the boy with dark hair.  This blond one was definitely not him, yet he was taller now.  By at least two inches.  Great, he hates those 3 even more now.  (Not that he’d ever acknowledge it.)

       “Get out of my way,” Seto demands.  “I’m here for Yugi.”  He’s in danger to that Kageyama woman, and no way in hell is he letting someone like Yugi lose to a one trick pony like her.  This blond asshole stepping in-between them is an idiot making a fuss when he had no ill will for once.

         His eyes open wide, conveying an intense scorn, “If anyone besides me kills him, I’m going to make you wish you had died too.”

           Seto looks up at the other, looks at his face, memorizes every little detail out of loathing and adoration, and sighs.  He is too dry for tears.  His eyes flick back down to the guards on the floor, having gone hoarse from screaming at things that aren’t there.  Seto’d be damned if he didn’t know the feeling.

          “Did you like my gift?” he asks, tone superficially cheery but with a hint of fatigue.  Looks like Yugi had powered through another one of his Shiten’ou and had come to put their game of cat and mouse to an end.  A pity.  In a way Yugi had become his muse, in the form of violence.  “Thought the electric shocks would make it more exciting.”
