on this father’s day i would like to imagine the world in which dean begins introducing himself as bobby singer’s boy to other hunters - not only does it neatly sidestep john winchester’s bad reputation in the hunting community, but everyone owes bobby something or other and is more willing to put up with dean and sam’s bullshit if it’s for bobby’s sake. of course dean never mentions he does this to bobby (that would come dangerously close to talking about his feelings), but it makes its way back to him eventually, and i would just like to take a moment to picture the look on his face the first time someone says something like “heya bobby, i met your kids the other week. batshit insane the two of ‘em, but hell if they didn’t smoke that ghoul right in the nick of time” — maybe it doesn’t even register what’s weird about that sentence until later, when he’s midway through some research or other — but it smacks him upside the head while paging through a book, and he has to put it down fast before he drops it from the sweetest shock he’s ever had

I’m dead serious when I say my favorite salmon dean moment is when Sam finds that horrible taxidermy animal with the costume on and holds it up for Dean to look at.
