This is so shameful. How could we have possibly allowed this heinous cruelty to come so far. We've failed the Palestinian people so egregiously, there aren't words to describe it. Bisan, I'm sorry. I am so unbelievably sorry. We don't deserve your forgiveness. Over and over again we repeat the same horrid acts of violence against each other. And over and over again we learn absolutely nothing. Millions upon millions of innocent lives are completely destroyed, and we have only ourselves to blame.

i don't have much meaningful analysis to add to this episode, but i have to say i do appreciate the way it kind of addresses body dysphoria in a plausible deniability enough way that it doesn't feel like the cis writer is overstepping, and feels like it still has enough universal relatability that it could have stood on its own regardless of the character's gender status, while not being SO vague as to be meaningless - idk, it just seems like it struck a very suitable balance. i like it.

Nader @abdalsalam2000 is trying to raise money for his family’s survival and future evacuation. This fundraiser is supporting a family of eight, including Nader who is only seventeen, his one year old niece Iman, and Nader’s father Ahmed who suffers from cancer. They’ve been displaced more than ten times, and Ahmed doesn’t have access to the treatment he needs because of the destruction of hospitals in Gaza.
Please donate to them if you can. Share to reach people who can donate ❤️🇵🇸
€20,733 out of 50,000! Please support Nader and his family ❤️

PSA: Being unable to work due to a disability is not luxurious or desirable. It is extremely boring and unfulfilling.
There are several things I am passionate about and want to do but I can’t because I am unable to. That is what “disabled” means. (This applies to both work-related and leisure-related activities, btw.)
And don’t think for a second that living off of benefits is luxurious or desirable either. SSI and other programs are designed to trap us below the poverty line. It’s rough out here.
Obviously, there are tons of reasonable gripes about having to work and those are completely valid, but I don’t want to hear any of y’all complaining about being able to work. Y’all are lucky af.

Has anyone else on SSDI had to fill out even more paperwork than the yearly renewal? My mom was just sent a shit ton more paperwork to prove she is disabled. The thing is that SSDI is our only income for 4 people. I'm assuming they're trying to cut as many people that they can that are deemed 'not disabled enough'. My moms disabilities are both invisible so I'm scared shitless. All 4 of us are disabled. I'm struggling to keep up with school as it is, so there is no way I could work.

Something I wish the general public understood:
If Social Security disability payments were slashed and I was kicked off of benefits, I would actually work LESS than I currently do.
Getting SSI (and more recently SSDI) has allowed me to work part-time while still being able to (sort of) afford rent and electricity.
If I were forced to work a 40-hour per week schedule, I would crash and burn within weeks, end up unemployed, and lose my apartment.
I am not lazy or making excuses. I literally have a disability.
