Talkmodachi is a tool created by dylanpdx on Github that allows you to use the US Tomodachi Life text-to-speech in order to say whatever you would like! This tool is built directly off of the game itself and is therefore completely 100% accurate. The developer is currently still working on the projects documentation, including for singing, so if you are interested then be on the lookout for any updates!

Is anybody else bothered by the fact that Bethesda waited to announce and then ghost drop a remastered version of Oblivion during the exact same year that was the estimated release date for the fan project Skyblivion (which is a 13-year-long unpaid community effort to recreate/remaster Oblivion in the Skyrim engine)?

Like ... "Oh, they're making a better version of our old game, and they're gonna release it for FREE? I bet if we beat them to it and release our OWN remake we can get a bunch of money out of it because they reinvigorated the interest!"

I mean, people have been clamoring for an official Oblivion remake AGES, but Bethesda made it clear they wanted to mess around making scifi games no one asked for and reductive MMO and mobile versions of Fallout, and then when they finally finished THAT stuff, people were begging them to please for the love of god finish The Elders Scrolls VI, but they were like, haha! No :)

to be clear, im only bangin on about the microsoft boycott as much as i am bc this is primarily an elder scrolls-themed blog with mostly elder scrolls fans as followers. i don't think that boycotting the Oblivion remaster should be the be-all and end-all of your pro-palestinian activism.

however. i do think it is, in many ways, the bare minimum for TES fans such as myself and my mutuals/followers. boycotting is a non-action. you don't even have to DO anything. for a lot of us, who may be required to use Microsoft products for our jobs or studies, avoiding the company entirely isn't an option. but refraining from purchasing a remaster (!) of a game that already exists is actually really super duper easy and in fact the one thing that BDS is asking of you at all - to abstain, insofar as it is in your control to do so, from giving Microsoft any more of your money. that's kind of how boycotts work.

i understand that a lot of TES accounts on here may not have heard of the boycott yet, or they may not have connected Microsoft to Bethesda. but i think some of you are being wilfully ignorant. i don't want to talk about the remaster, hear about it, or engage with it in any way whatsoever. and while i don't personally think it's necessary to withdraw from the fandom altogether - i won't be, and im not expecting others to - i have no interest in interacting with anyone who purchases this game with full knowledge of the boycott. there is no excuse on this earth for crossing that line. so if you buy the game, talk about it, and then find yourself blocked? that's why.

Sign Petition EN7163 - Asylum for Gender and Sexual Minorities from the United States

There is a petition imploring the Australian government to take in LGBTQIA+ refugees from the USA. Given the rapidly worsening political situation over there, I want to at least give this a go. I don’t have any illusions that it will get through to the people that need to see it but I want to try anyway.
