So, amazing website alert.
This website is mainly focused for RPG creation, but I use it for my fantasy writing occasionally.
This freaking website will:
-Create a damn earth for you. Like an actual atlas. Just tell it the % of water and ice.
-Give you freaking demographics for your medieval cities. Down to telling how many butchers, bakers, and candlestick makers your filthy peasants would need; or how many nobles should be kissing your emperor’s ass, based on the population you want.
-Generate a tavern, along with a few notable patrons and a damn menu, based on the quality.
-Generate names for your characters.
Not even to mention the generation of dungeons, loot, and encounters by level by several different gaming systems.
Seriously… You should see this site.

It’s winter. You notice the river you’re following still hasn’t frozen over, preventing you from crossing. You come across a small group of villagers who are breaking any ice that forms. Some men are waist deep trying to get ice further out from the riverbank. “Why are you doing that? Aren’t you cold?”
“Aye. But we need to keep those things on the other side.”

A small town is suffering from a deathly blizzard, right after the end of summer. Townfolk have reported of humanoid figures taking shape from the falling snow, and vanishing after a brief moment. And it's getting colder still.

D&D 5e Guide to Leadership
Tumblr media
So 5th edition sort of got rid of the Leadership feat. Whether it’s because it was too much bookkeeping (it was) or whether it’s just too powerful to have dozens of attack rolls with 5e’s Bounded Accuracy (it is), Leadership is gone. But what if you really wanted that cohort or a train of followers? Today I’ll try and fill that need without breaking the game too badly.
New Feat: Cohort
Prerequisite: 13 CHA, Character level 4th

A bright eyes young farmer has set up a small stand on the side of a road your party travels often.
1. The food starts off looking delicious and fresh, and every time you pass after it becomes more and more horrendous. Does she ever leave?
2. She’s saving up to become an adventurer! She’s too sweet. She won’t last. Her older sister, in disguise, regularly steals and breaks her stand in an effort to keep her from affording gear.
3. Every day when she first opens a man stops by. He makes her uncomfortable and no matter where she sets up, he always fonds her.
4. She’s an assassin who sets up booths in popular towns and gives laced food to her targets, and delicious food to the rest. She possibly mixes up which food is bad.

There is a fork in the road. The right and left look identical. There are rows of trees between them. If you go left, an arrow comes down from your left in front of your feet. Press on and it gets closer to hitting you until it actually does. Go right and nothing happens.
Go right and into the trees to go on the left path and you’ll find…
A sleeping owlbear who is a really light sleeper.
An adventurer’s camp, with sickly party members and one healer. They’ve been attacked by a strange fog.
A thick fog that leaves you breathless.

A town has always been harassed by two giant creatures. They’re stupid, but terrifyingly strong. A magic barrier has been kept up for years by local mages. People enter and exit the city though a tunnel. The creatures have been trying new and… surprisingly smart ways to break the barrier.

An elven city built on top of the worlds oldest and largest tree has become ill all at once. Its speculated that something is wrong with the tree’s roots, and you’re being escorted by a sickly guard who knows the ins and outs to figure out the problem.

A popular trail built over a forgotten graveyard has recently been terrorized by disgruntled ghosts and rumor has it there’s a Tarrosque lurking about. It’s trapped in one of the crypts. It senses another of it’s kind somewhere below ground. Two have never existed in the same place and time before.
