hate it when you procastinated on something for 2 weeks to only finish it in 7 minutes and you're there like "why is this is so easy i should have done it earlier"
#sometimes feels like I test with how much I could get away with#I had this task at work which was due in like 12 weeks#it involves compliance with public authorities#and I handed it in two weeks before I needed it#i think someone pulled an all nighter to give me her stuff in time#needless to say I felt terrible#let me just say it involved water so I felt ANXIOUS every time it started raining

I have a deep affection for the stereotypic older woman who spends all her extra time and money on her toy dog. I think it’s beautiful that these often socially discarded and isolated women find companionship and nurturing opportunities with their dogs. The connection between women and dogs run so deep, it always moves me in whatever form it takes.
#that’s why I hate when people mock little dogs or say that they’re less of a challenge#as if that’s something to brag about#they offer so much for different types of people

my „routine“ constantly changes from
4.30 am
gym, because it’s summer and the dog can’t stay in the car once it’s hot, but I don’t want to leave her at my work appartement either
6.00 am
walk dog
7.00 am - 18.00 am
work
18.00 am - 21.30 am
being forced by dog to play/train/walk, errands
To:
better stay up as late as possible because mornings suck, gym sucks, working sucks

in addition to the fact that people just have different natural rhythms, a big reason why we can’t seem to go to bed as early as we “should” is that nighttime is, for many of us, our safest and most fulfilling time of day. we don’t have to work, we won’t be contacted by bosses or insurance companies or collection agencies or other suffocating life business… we’re likely only to be contacted by our friends, or by no one at all. night time is release; it’s ours. we can rest or recreate. we can do things we actually want to do. who would choose to cut that short?? just to usher in the next morning when our lives are not our own again? nighttime is precious and nothing could be more normal than the desire to embrace this

No one else is on site on Fridays so I sometimes let her roam the floor.
Naturally, I forgot about her and then went looking frantically. There she was, all cute and behaved.
(Well, she had a rubber band in her mouth).
#boxerdog#officedog#puppy#she is not capable of lying down by herself so I knew something was going on
