Elucien being endgame because of the argument that SJM is a fated mates author is so weak. She has brought up several times throughout the books that the bond can be rejected. She has also brought up the concept of the bond being rejected in conjunction with Elain and Az pairing off specifically. She has also explicitly discussed the concept of choosing love over the mating bond in her Today interview. There is this plot device called foreshadowing that she seems to be in love with and sometimes she lays it on rather thick.

this is my official announcement and formal warning that, following the inevitable announcement of Elain Archeron’s book, I will be losing all chill and regressing into a feral, undomesticated, flea-ridden stan gnawing at the bars of my metaphorical enclosure.

No one will be safe. No theory post will go without an excited, and perhaps even incoherent, comment from me. I will be liking all the things. Devouring all the fanart. Screaming and screeching as my heart desires. I will not be tame about this and woe to those who try and stop me.

Just a small compilation of Azriel being an absolute gentleman and putting out his sexiest, girthiest husband energy when Elain Archeron is around.

Azriel putting on his sexy lil stone cold manners for Elain after a smile bloomed on his mouth watching her clutching her fork like a weapon.

Carrying her bridal style into the townhouse and offering an arm, graceful as any courtier, to show her the garden. I'm choking.

Going still at the sight of Elain in her dusty pink dress, then sketching a bow and inserting himself into the "Let's take Elain to see the herbs she planted" situation.

Telling Elain to sit down after she has clearly been cooking all day and offering to take care of serving.

And making everyone wait to eat until she is seated.

i have this report to write but all im thinking about is that Azriel associated the moment between him and Elain to the sanctity of the Mother, whom he has a sweet reverence for.

idk what’s going to come out with the mating bond situation, but I can just imagine the Mother blessing Elain & Azriel and basically im not okay.

That Court of Nightmares palace bath has always sounded so beautiful to me. Pair that with the thought of Azriel indulging Elain in all the scenery the world has to offer and voilá - romantic, scenic, intimate experiences. 

My favourite ship for Elain? Oh, I’ll let you all figure that out.
