People can totally disagree with me, but I think Van Helsing 2004 is one of the best Dracula and Frankenstein film adaptations.
Are they also inspired by their 1930s counterparts? Yes!
But is Dracula homoerotic and dramatic as hell? Yes!
is Frankenstein's monster well read, smart, and actually compassionate given his circumstances and lack of a father figure?
Lol yeah

Not about this situation, but in general of the use of the word here is an article from NPR that discusses why we don't use and how inuit people feel about the use of the word
https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2016/04/24/475129558/why-you-probably-shouldnt-say-eskimo
Here is a video of a inuit person saying how they feel about the word
https://www.tiktok.com/@inuksuk/video/7085774985393868038
So if you are generally asking about it the consensus is: if you're not of arctic indigenous origins, don't use it because at the end of the day it has been used by colonists as a slur.
But I would take a guess you're being pandantic about this situation not because you want to learn. The inuit have been trying to get people to stop using the word in questions for a while, and it's one thing to not know, and a whole other bs situation to try and get an answer that is 1. easy to find the answer yourself and 2 such a specific scenario to get an answer that you won't take it serious u til you get it. That is a literal technique used by racists and has been in use forever.
But in the event you were generally curious, here you go!

A message to the Dropout community --
First off, we want to tell you how much we appreciate everyone who reached out expressing discomfort about the use of an outdated and offensive term in not one, but two pieces of content within the past few weeks - our Dropout Presents special Chris Grace: As Scarlett Johansson and the most recent episode of Breaking News. These should have been caught and removed at an earlier stage, and we want to apologize for letting this happen, especially to all indigenous Inuit, Yupik, and Aleut fans. Chris brought the issue to our attention as well, and we've been working with him to ensure everything was properly addressed.
But what are we doing about it? For one, removing the offensive slurs from those respective episodes. And second, we're donating $5,000 to Arctic Rose, a non-profit organization that helps Northern Inuit & Indigenous youth by providing safe spaces to participate and grow through Indigenous-led, arts-based, and culturally grounded programs.
We appreciate everyone who brought this issue to our attention, and will be mindful about it going forward!
Dropout
Additionally, Chris wanted to put together a statement of his own, which you can read here!

Who is the real subject of most love poems? Not the beloved. It is the hole. When I desire you, a part of me is gone: my want of you partakes of me. So reasons the lover at the edge of eros. The presence of want awakens in him nostalgia for wholeness. His thoughts turn toward questions of personal identity: he must recover and reincorporate what is gone if he is to be a complete person. […] Most people find something disturbingly lucid and true in Aristophanes’ image of lovers as people cut in half. All desire is for a part of oneself gone missing, or so it feels to the person in love.
Anne Carson, Eros the Bittersweet: An Essay.

Sending love to everyone who has health issues or chronic pain in parts of your body that aren’t usually socially acceptable to talk about. It’s frustrating to feel like you can never explain your pain to someone because it’s TMI and to feel like you have to hide it. Your pain is nothing to be ashamed of. I see you, and I’m sending you support and strength.

For example, if it takes 5 minutes by car but 15 minutes on foot, but you rarely have access to a car, it's 15 minutes. If the subway takes 20 minutes and the car takes 30, but you usually drive, it's 30. If the walk takes 10 minutes and the bus takes 45 minutes so you walk, it's 10 minutes. Etc.

Her name is Valentina Petrillo and she is a visually-impaired sprinter.
Time to support her, because even without the racism element I expect she will be getting some flak from Awful, Awful People.

wish there was a non rude way to be like “I understand your criticism, I don’t even necessarily disagree with it, but I am doing these things on purpose, because I like them and I want to, and therefore your opinion has no value, because you might think me painting a room entirely pink is tacky, but I did it on purpose”
