a japanese guy who made a bunch of creepy pasta videos a long time ago (you’ve probably seen Youtube666, he made that) is playing through minecraft for the first time and he’s not using any guides or anything other than the in-game guidebook and he’s fucking. doing it in such a buddhist way.

like, he’s so patient and detached from all of the stuff he’s gotten.

in the newest episode he destroyed 14566 blocks of bridge and blew up his original house just because he learned about xyz coordinates by accidentally pressing F5 and he wanted his house to be at the X:0 coordinate.

also look at this quarry. it’s his 5th quarry.

look at this absolute fucking massive hole.

and it’s not like “HELLOOOOO EVERYBODY WHAT IS UP, TODAY WE’RE GONNA BE PLAYING MIIIIIINECRAAAAFT” he’s just like. a quiet 30 year old japanese man who speaks very precisely and politely. and he even does his own english captions which are overlayed on the video and he uses emoticons like (0u0)/

he’s so wonderful and cute.

I think it would be incredibly emotionally fulfilling to hit someone in the back of the head really hard with a shovel

Other comic strips I think about all the time: this one Calvin and Hobbes arc where he gets an alien to impersonate him in class. Every single time I bring a packed lunch to work I look straight down the metaphorical camera and think "Lunboks:)"

Also, may I know more about Reynard? The trading card from Sydnova was very compelling,,

Oh my gosh, well, Jax and Reynard are always my top two guys!

And for Reynard, basic breakdown for him is: He's a journalist/Writer who went following a ghost story after his grandmother's passing, and found himself thrown into a silent hill-esque horror town full of fungus ghosts.

Over the story he himself also becomes an Eldritch fungus creature, but he kinda owns it after a while!

She’s finally got a design and I love her. Feral woman my beloved.

After their first meeting, the Clerk is an ever-present threat to Reynard. She will not rest until she kills him with her own hands, and will not accept that he is not the person she thinks he is.

I can throw this big guy up now the other little sheets are done!

Part of the design choice with the light to dark on the Lost is that, when in groups it should be hard to tell them apart from each other. They blend and you’re not quite sure if you’re looking at an amalgam or not.

Then you see THE Amalgam and it’s a bad time.

Rushed shower thoughts:

Reynard and Leon sometime after they teamed up to find Emmerson. They're chasing someone(something?) case relevant and they are NOT catching up.

In fact, Ren is progressively looking worse as they try to keep up, and Leon is torn between frustration at the person/thing getting away, and concern that his new friend looks like he's going to pass out.

Leon catches Ren when he finally collapses, but instead of passing out, he lurches and throws up some 4-5x his bodyweight in black water. All Leon can do is hold onto him and watch in mixed horror and awe as limbs and figures form from the dark liquid and give chase to the thing they were after...

Fun way to find out your new guy is full of weird ghosts who also want to help you find your partner.

(Edit) Additional thoughts:

Reynard's ghosts aren't really self aware.

They're a mix of memories and instinctual impulses that eventually bind so tightly to Reynard that they become an extension of him.

Reynard has very little control over it all at first. They'll extend on one side of the plane, allowing him to see around corners or into other places in the mortal/material side of the plane. Which is cool, but it's like being smashed in the face with a brick made of deja vu out of nowhere.
