Here is the final project, A self-balancing ram.  I took the advice of my classmates, and nailed the board to the servo motor arms.  As I was tweaking the final product, I realized a couple of things: 1) the way that the servo arm is attached to the servo motor, will change the rotation dramatically (Should’ve been obvious, but it flew over my head) 2) Ardunio editors has a daily limit of how many times you can tweak your files 😂

Midterm - Ramp
This time around, I included a plastic panel to see the device function. The purpose of this design is to create a ramp that detects how close a fast moving object is, in regards to the sensor, then it will tilt the ramp to shift it away from the sensor and resets itself. Ideally, I wanted to create a mechanism that allows a wall to appear in the middle of the ramp to block the object from hitting the sensor. But it was hard to engineer without the right equipment and knowledge.
For my final, I’ve decided to work on this project to actualize my imagination.

The original sketch shows a DC motor with linear gear that pushes a wall upwards THROUGH the ramp to stop the object.

In this photo, i realized that the ramp is tilting at an angle, so the wall would elevate at an angle too, other wise it will get stuck.

Here is the finalized imagination.

Ramp update:
Changed dimension of enclosure
Increased height while decreasing length and width.
Introduced a different servo attachment.
Used a string to balance the rod.
Aligned the arduino board to Ultrasonic sensor to reduce enclosure size
Added delay between alternating ramp angle

This week’s experiment involves a looping code, where the analog light responder recieves light, and the servo motor will shut off the light source by moving a plate attached to it. Then when the light level input is read as low, it will move the plate out of the way. Any value in between will recieve a “wait 200 ms” command. I think to make this run better visually, I should insert more delay between each execution, so that it can appear to sense light “better”.

Should’ve used nested statements. Forgot I could do that.

Ever wanted to see what a ROBUST and FUNCTIONING teleporter look like?
Look at the specs. With this Taxes Instrument 3000-ti, you can not only see the stability of the particles, but you can also see the vitals of your favorite experimental subject. All of which are displayed on the front of the line near a paper-thin monitor, sporting a reliable crane.
There are multiple redundancy latches on the side. We got top of the line neutrino scales built into the sides of the chamber, reminiscent of the Super-Kamiokande
Admire the impeccable and efficient door mechanism using precise hydraulics, and is guaranteed 200% failure-proof. (Deadman switch comes in a separate package)
And finally, on top of the cage, we have a mountable/detachable faraday projector. Yes, a projector my friend! Those days of cages are long gone, my friend.
Immerse yourself inside this near-magical machinery, at the low low price of 2,999,999,999,999 Terrarian Bills!
(Tax may or may not be included depending on the planet of residency. Intergalactic shipping fees are charged separately. please be advised materials are extremely delicate and unstable. In cases of handling, be sure not to rub the antenna of the faraday projector. Please be advised that macro-doses of radiation will contaminate and destroy carbon lifeforms in the radius of 200 meters if the chamber is not closed properly. A recommended supply of 2 billion TWh, any less would require a modular, condensed blackhole cubicle to be inserted in the chamber slot near point A2-dZ-2023-T2.)
