wrong blog, but i think a lot about how rose and pearl have said that human emotions are complex and hard to understand to gems, but blue is so … emotional. she knew a deep love and now she feels a deep loss and we’ve seen her furious, and, while it all revolves around pink, it is such an interesting thing how the cgs see human emotion as complex, but blue was confused that a human understood her sadness. is this a reflection of gem culture ? do the diamonds make gems believe they are unfeeling ? or is this a reflection of how the cgs see humans compared to the diamonds ?

it’s possibly her least favorite question of all time ( and she’s heard it quite a lot over the course of her existence ). however, she allows her eyes to sparkle and the corners of her lips to hint at a smile ––– she has had some time to perfect her answer, after all. “ i’m mary poppins. ”
