PhDSimmer’s Never-Ending Story Legacy Challenge!

Hey guys, I came up with this Legacy Challenge to celebrate five years of The Sims 4; it was previously known as the 5 year Legacy Challenge but I have updated it to include the most recent expansion packs and re-named it. Basically this legacy is a never-ending story and will only end when the Sims 4 ends! (which at this rate seems to be never!). Share your sims story with #nelegacy

Each Generation focuses on completing some of the features introduced in a Game Pack and/or Expansion Pack and works through the order of release. I don’t use every single DLC but most of them! This legacy can be challenging so don’t worry if you can’t complete everything it’s more important to have fun.

I also have an excel progress sheet (I need to update for Gen 16 and 17) you can download if you want something to help you keep track when playing (click here for the sheet).

To complete this Legacy Challenge you will require the following packs but you can skip generations for packs you don’t have if you like:

Expansions: Get to Work, Get Together, City Living, Cats and Dogs, Seasons, Get Famous, Island Living, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Snowy Escape, Cottage Living, High School Years, Growing Together, Horse Ranch and For Rent (coming soon).

Game Packs: Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Dine Out, Parenthood, Jungle Adventure, Strangerville (and/or Realm of Magic), My Wedding Stories, Werewolves.

Optional Stuff Packs (not strictly necessary): Kids Room Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Tiny Living Stuff, Home Chef Hustle. It’s hard work and a challenge for sure! but we need that in the Sims 4 right? Generation 1 – Outdoor Retreat / Get to Work Although you love your job and are determined to reach the top, being stuck at work all day has taught you to appreciate nature. You love nothing more than being outside no matter the weather – be it sunbathing, hiking in Granite Falls or indulging in your passion for photography. You love to spend a few nights camping among the stars. Traits: Ambitious, Loves the Outdoors and one of your choice. Aspiration: Outdoor Enthusiast Career: Complete one of the active careers from Get to Work. Tasks: 1. Start off in either Willow Creek or Oasis Springs on an empty lot with zero simoleans. 2. Complete your career and aspiration. 3. Marry a sim also doing an active career from Get to Work. 4. Reach level 5 of the photography skill. 5. Take a vacation of at least 2 nights in Granite Falls, find the hidden cave and befriend the hermit to get the fungal infusion fertilizer remedy. 6. Complete the insect collection. 7. Woohoo in a tent. 8. Have a Gold level Weenie Roast 9. Visit Sylvan Glade (secret area) 10. Move to Windenburg when your Heir for Gen 2 ages up to a Teen. Notes: *You don’t have to play the spouses career if you don’t wish to. If you can’t find a spouse you can download from the gallery or make your own sim as long as you give them an active career.  *The Fungal Infusion Fertilizer Remedy is obtained from the hermit once you’re good friends and is an unlocked interaction. *If you have trouble finding all the insects I found this guide helpful. *Read the next generation rules as you’ll need to move to Windenburg when your heir is a teen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 2 – Spa Day / Get Together Moving to Windenburg as a teen gave you a fresh start and whilst your parents were always focused on their careers you were more interested in the Arts and making friends. You are not as ambitious as your parents, and as long as you can make a little money from your hobbies and passions to get by you’re more than happy. Traits: Choose three from: Insider, Creative, Dance Machine and High Maintenance. Aspiration: Choose either Musical Genius, Best Selling Author or Painter Extraordinaire Career: Register as self-employed (painter/author or musician). This can be related to the skills you will develop with your chosen aspiration or separate if you want more of a challenge. You can also do the freelancer career in painting or writing if you wish but this is not required. Tasks: 1. Complete your aspiration. 2. Create a club or take-over leadership of an existing club. Have 8 club members. 3. Befriend all your club members and marry one of them. 4. Have a weekly club gathering. 5. Complete the wellness skill and participate in a yoga class once a week until you reach level 10 of wellness (you can stop then if you want to). 6. Woohoo in the sauna, the woohoo bush and the closet. 7. Attend each of the themed bar nights at least once: Happy Hour, Bear’s night, Alien night, Ghost Nights, Knight Knight, Single’s night and Ladies/Guy’s night depending on your heir’s gender. 8. Max the dance skill and DJ skill and host a dance party at the Bluffs to show off your new talents. 9. Treat your club to a spa day - get 2 massages, a mani/pedi, relax in the sauna, enjoy a face mask and soak in a mud bath. 10. Earn £3000 from being a yoga instructor.

Notes: *I recommend using the calendar that came with seasons to remind you about having the weekly club gathering and yoga session. *I was going to make spot the loch ness sea monster (Nessy) a task but that’s going to be hard so give your self a pat on the back if you see her (grab a screenshot too!).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 3 – Dine Out Although creative in the kitchen your parents were not very skilled. Sick of putting up with bad quality and often burnt food you took over cooking for your family at a young age and have found passion in the culinary arts. However, you become invested in your business and don’t realise your home life is falling apart until it’s too late and you end up getting divorced. Traits: Foodie, Snob, Perfectionist Aspiration: Master Chef Career: Culinary (Chef branch) until Level 8 then quit and open your own restaurant. Tasks: 1. Get married whilst working as a Chef. You can have children during this time if you wish but these will not be able to be the heir. 2. Once you reach level 8 of the culinary career (chef branch) and complete your aspiration, quit your job, move your family to San Myshuno and open a restaurant in the city. 3. Complete the cooking skill and gourmet cooking skills. 4. Host a Gold level dinner party. 5. Get your restaurant to 5 stars. 6. Get divorced whilst running your restaurant. Move out your spouse and any existing children. 7. Get romantically involved with a staff member and have child by them. The child must born whilst living in San Myshuno, stay with you and will be the heir to Generation 4. 8. Collect the 20 experimental food photos (see collections). Notes: *You can demolish any lot in San Myshuno to make room for your restaurant. *For task 6, make sure you move out the ex-spouse and kids and not your sim otherwise your restaurant will stay with them. You can then move again within the city if you want to get a smaller place. You can always put them back after. 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 4 – City Living You’re the odd one out of the family and raised by your mother alone in the big city. As a chef and foodie your mother disapproves of your vegetarian lifestyle. You love it in San Myshuno though, especially since you befriended the guys who hang around outside your apartment and play basketball. They’re a bad influence on you though and you find yourself skipping school and getting into trouble a lot. Perhaps its just your way of getting attention from your mother who is busy running her restaurant? You eventually grow up and straighten out your ways and decide to pursue a career in politics enabling you to help kids growing up in the city. Traits: Vegetarian, Kleptomaniac, Hot-Headed Aspiration: City Native Career: Politics – Charity Branch Tasks: 1. Remain in San Myshuno your whole life and complete your City Native aspiration.  2. Attend all the festivals at least once and grab some swag to prove it. 3. Do not allow your school grade to go above a C, skip school whenever you feel like it and have two character values in the red by the time you age up to a young adult. 4. Steal items that add up to the value of £10,000, graffiti at least one pavement and wall in San Myshuno, join any protests you see happening and start some of your own.  5. Move out to your own apartment as soon as you become a young adult and have at least one child before you are half-way through your young-adult life stage.  6. Have at least 2 enemies before you age up into an adult (full adult not a young adult).  7. Do not have a job until you reach adulthood (full adult not young adult) so make money any way you can including stealing (see task 4). 8. When you reach full adulthood join the politics career. You do not have to complete your career but must reach at least Level 5 and chose the charity branch. 9. Complete the snow globe and city poster collections.

Notes: *You can buy any swag you like at each festival. *Getting your mischief skill up will help you steal more expensive items.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 5 – Parenthood You want to be the best parent you can because for most of your childhood your parents were absent. You strive to help your children in anyway you can and want them to live happy and fulfilling lives. You devote yourself to your children and have little time for your own career or hobbies. You spoil your children rotten. Traits: Family Orientated, Neat and Childish Aspiration: Super Parent Career: None (stay at home parent). Tasks: 1. Move out of San Myshuno to either Willow Creek or Oasis Springs (pick the one you did not choose for Generation 1). 2. Complete your aspiration. 3. Volunteer with your family 3 times and do 3 different activities. 4. Reach level 10 of the parenting skill. 5. Get married and have 4 children – give each child a different base game aspiration (not the Growing Together aspirations). 6. Toddlers must get level 3 in all skills before aging up. 7. All children must complete their aspirations, maximise at least one character values and reach an A in both grade school and high school. 8. Sunday is family day – every Sunday take your kids somewhere nice and spoil them rotten (ideas: bowling, cinema, beach, swimming pool, park etc). 9. Visit the Forgotten Grotto 10. Collect all the void critter cards (requires Kids Room Stuff*). 11. Host a Gold level Toddler Playdate (requires Toddler Stuff*). 

Notes: *I recommend you don’t play active High School as we have a generation dedicated to that later. *Hint - Task 9 requires level 10 handiness *You can remove task 10 and 11 requirements if you don’t have these stuff packs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 6 – Cats & Dogs Surrounded by a big noisy family as you grew up, you found yourself preferring the quiet company of animals. You were spoiled as a child, and this continues as you grow up with your parents loaning you the money to buy your own clinic after you leave veterinary school. Soon you realise what hard work really is and you kind of enjoy it. You are determined to pay your parents back. Traits: Cat Lover, Dog Lover and one of your choice. Aspiration: Friend of the Animals Career: Run a Vet Clinic Tasks: 1. Move to Brindleton Bay and open up a vet clinic using £15,000 loaned to you by your parents. 2. Complete your aspiration. 3. Have at least 3 pets at all times* and one should be an adopted stray. 4. Reach Level 10 of veterinary skill and Level 5 of the pet training skill. 5. Get your vet clinic to 5 stars 6. Woohoo at the lighthouse 7. Remove £15,000 from your households funds to “pay back” your parents when you can. 8. Have a dog which has learnt all of the tricks and get a gold medal on the obstacle course. 9. Cook all the pet recipes at least once. 9. Collect all the feathers and assemble them into the bird sculpture. 

Notes: *One of your three pets for task 3 can be a rodent if you have the my first pet stuff pack. Cow/llama/fox/rabbits from the Cottage Living pack do not count, I recommend waiting until the Cottage Living generation to use these features..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 7 – Jungle Adventure / Seasons You are a generally happy and content person and love spending time in your garden and feeling the sun’s rays on your back. Not much gets you down. You love to travel and collect seeds from around the world to grow more exotic fruits and vegetables in your garden. You want to grow at least one of everything at home! Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Cheerful and one of your choice Aspiration: Freelance Botanist Career: Gardening – either branch Tasks: 1. Complete your career and aspiration 2. Complete the flower arranging and the gardening skill 3. Grow a money tree and a cow plant. 4. Take a vacation to Selvadorada, learn the rumbasim dance and complete a temple and complete either the omiscan artefact or treasure collection. 5. Collect an avocado and black bean from Selvadorada and grow at home. 6. Collect a coconut, cava, taro and pineapple plant from Sulani and grow at home. 7. Collect a mandrake and valerian root from Glimmerbook/Magic Realm and grow at home. 8. Collect a blueberry, raspberry, chocoberry and the charming, lovely, mysterious, nightly, spicy, verdant and wild mushroom from Henford-on-Bagley and grow at home. 9. Woohoo in a leaf pile. 10. Have a beehive and bake the honey cake using your own honey 11. Befriend patchy the scarecrow and bring him to life! 12. Have at least two children, have your heir for Generation 8 join the after school drama club and have a different child join the scouts and earn the scouting aptitude trophy.

Notes: *You can live in any world you want *You should grow as many different types of fruits, veg and flowers in your garden as you can including those for task 5 and 6.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 8 – Get Famous You loved after school drama club and the attention being the lead in all the school plays got you. You dream of being a famous celebrity. You’ve been so focused on your dream you haven’t really paid much attention in school – just getting by as best you can. Despite your parent’s advice to buckle down and concentrate on your school work so you can go to college you decide to relocate to Del Sol Valley and attempt to climb the fame ladder. You hope one day you can prove your parents wrong and make them proud. Traits: Self-Absorbed, Non-Committal and Outgoing Aspiration: Master Actor/Actress or World Famous Celebrity Career: Film Tasks: 1. Move to Del Sol Valley 2. Complete your career and aspiration 3. Have a social media account with over 1 million followers 4. Complete the media production skill 5. Have at least three failed relationships with other celebrities (3 star or above). 6. Marry a 5 star celebrity 7. Woohoo in the sleeping pod and the money vault 8. Have only one child

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can choose one of two options for generation 9 (Strangerville or Realm of Magic).  OPTION 1 - Generation 9 – Strangerville You’ve never really understood your parents desire to be in the spotlight, you’d prefer to hide away and be left with your games console and your books as well as all the computers and gadgets you like to tinker with. Somehow you think you’ve disappointed them by being their only child and not being interested in fame or fortune. You decide to get out of Del Sol Valley and relocate to Strangerville to focus on writing your first novel. This town is perfect as no one knows you or who your famous parents are. Traits: Geek, Paranoid, Bookworm Aspiration: Strangerville Mystery Career: Tech Guru Tasks: 1. Move to Strangerville. 2. Complete your career and aspiration. 3. Reach level 10 of the video gaming, programming and writing skill. 4. Complete the postcard collection. 5. Write 5 best-selling books. 6. Have no romantic relationships until adulthood. 7. Marry someone in the Military career.  8. Get married in Sulani on vacation. 9. Get pregnant in Sulani (this doesn’t have to be at the same time as task 8 if you don’t want it to).

OPTION 2 - Generation 9 - Realm of Magic You’ve never really understood your parents desire to be in the spotlight, you’d prefer to spend your time at the library reading books. You’ve always felt like the odd one out in Del Sol Valley with the alternative way you dress and your brightly coloured hair and little interest fame. One day you find an old book describing a place called the Magic Realm which has some connection to a world called Glimmerbrook. You tell your parents and they just laugh at you, telling you it’s little more than a fairy-tale. However, deep down you know it’s real and you feel a strange sense of calling so you immediately pack your bags and head off, determined to find the Magic Realm. Traits: Loner, bookworm and one of your choice Aspiration: Spellcraft and Sorcery or Purveyor of Potions Career: Your choice! Tasks: 1. Move to Glimmerbrook  2. Complete your aspiration 3. Complete the spell book and befriend all of the sages 4.Find all of the familiars and bind them to you 5. Have a cat or dog familiar 6. Date a different occult sim (vampire/alien/mermaid*). You don’t have to marry them. 7. Reach level 10 of the writing skill 8. Get married in on vacation in Sulani 9. Get pregnant in Sulani. This doesn’t have to be at the same time as task 8 if you don’t want it to.

Notes: *For task 5 you can date a mermaid if you wish but bear in mind you’ll marry one for Island Living generation 10.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Generation 10 – Island Living You were conceived in Sulani, and were a surprise to both your parents. Perhaps this surprise pregnancy has something to do with the island spirits? It wouldn’t be the first time your parents were involved in some strange going on’s after all. Despite being born in Sulani, you grew up away from the islands with a love of music. But soon you felt drawn back to the islands and when you arrive you realise it’s your destiny help them to heal. Traits: Child of the Ocean, Child of the Island and one of your choice Aspiration: Beach Life Career: Conservation - either branch Tasks: 1. Move to Sulani and start by living off the grid (you can change this when you want to if it hinders you too much, but do at least 7 sim days off the grid). 2. Complete your career and aspiration 3. Reach Level 10 of the singing skill and one instrument of your choice. 4. Host a Gold level kava party 5. Marry a mermaid/merman 6. Befriend all the coloured dolphins 7. Woohoo in the Waterfall 8. Restore Mua Pel’am’s environment to the highest level and enact 2 global policies 9. Attend all of the Sulani festivals at least once 10. Complete 5 odd jobs 11. Complete 2 of the following collections: seashells, buried treasure or underwater photos.

Generation 11 – Discover University You love your parents very much, but you are sick of the beach life and want to do your own thing, as soon as you can you head off to college to start afresh. You’re not even sure what you want to study, you just can’t wait to get to college and start your new life. Your parents are supportive and even offer to pay for your studies, but you want to do this on your own so you apply for scholarships, take out a loan and get a part time job to pay your own way. Traits: Ambitious, lazy and one of your choice. Aspiration: Academic Career: Choose a degree programme at either University and then one of the three new careers that came with Discover University once you graduate. Tasks: 1. Complete your aspiration. 2. Get a piercing, tattoo and change your hair colour when you arrive at University. 3. Have a part time job whilst at University. 4. Live in a dorm. 5. Join an organisation and get to Level 3. 6. Woohoo in the shower and with a servo you made yourself. 7. Host a gold level keg party. 8. Date at least two different roommates. 9. Complete the robotics skill. 10. Finish with an A grade. 11. Marry someone from the opposite University and both you and your spouse must choose one of the new careers that came with Discover University. 12. Read the rules for Gen 12 as your heir runs away as a teen to Evergreen harbour.

Notes: *Tasks 6 can be done after you finish Uni

Generation 12 – Eco Lifestyle Your parents led a successful life and got their dream job through hard work and lots of studying…. you however don’t care for that sort of thing, you’d rather be using your hands to make a living and take inspiration from your grandparents when it comes to caring about the community and to living a green, environmentally friendly life. Running away from home as a teen you wind up penniless and living out of dumpsters in Evergreen harbour. Eventually your parents find you and beg to take you home but you’re determined to show them you will be just as successful as them whilst doing things in your own way.

Traits: Pick three from: Maker, Green Friend, Freegan, Recycle Disciple, Loves the outdoors, vegetarian Aspiration: Master Maker Career: Freelance: Simply Crafted Tasks: 1. Move to Evergreen Harbour as a teen and set your funds to zero. 2. Live out of dumpsters until you can afford a tiny container home in Port Promise. 3. Complete your aspiration. 4. Live off the grid, generating your own power, your entire life. 5. Turn Port Promise’s eco footprint from industrial to green. 6. Marry a civic planner or civic engineer and give them the eco innovator aspiration. 7. Never have a traditional job, make money from being a freelance maker and through other environmentally friendly means. 8. Reach level 10 of fabrication and juice fizzing. 9. Donate 500 to charity every Friday. 10. Covert all lots in Evergreen Harbour to Eco Homes. 11. Always live in a tiny, micro or small home. 12. Max the friendship bar with 6 of your neighbours.

Generation 13 – Snowy Escape You work a boring office job but live for the extreme, always going for things even if you don’t have the necessary skills. You dream of the slopes all day everyday. You are competitive and like to live on the dangerous side. You are like this with your relationships too, always juggling multiple romances. You’re not well liked, people think you are a show-off and no friendships or relationships really last. You only have one true friend who’s always stuck by your side despite all your mistakes. It isn’t until later in life you realise that they are the one for you and finally decide to settle down.

Traits: Confident, Adventurous, Noncommittal Aspiration: Extreme Sports Enthusiast Career: Salary Person 1. Move to Mt Komorebi 2. Complete your career and aspiration 3. Quit your job the moment you reach level 10 4. Attend all the festivals at least once. 5. Complete the snowboarding, skiing and rock-climbing skills. 6. Woohoo in the mountain cave and bath house. 7. Always have at least 3 romances on the go until you reach adulthood. 8. Every time you make a friend or get into a relationship you ruin it somehow and they end up disliking you. 9. Complete the simmi capsule and spirit doll collection. 10. Get married at the top of Mount Komorebi to your life long best friend who must have the proper trait. You can swap your non-committal trait once you’re romantically involved with this sim if you like.

Generation 14 – Cottage Living and My Wedding Stories You hate the cold and have no interest in extreme sports so you move away from Mt Komorebi to the green hills of Henford on Bagley. You absolutely love this small community and are keen to make a good impression with everyone. Unlike your parent you want to have lots of friends around you and are looking to find someone for a serious relationship. You’re not one for a traditional job so you aim to make a living from your hobbies of gardening and cooking. Every now and then you escape to your favourite destination in the word for some much needed sun and sand – Tartosa. It’s your dream to have an amazing wedding ceremony there some day.

Traits: Animal Enthusiast, Loves the Outdoors, Outgoing Aspiration: Country Caretaker Career: Business Owner

1. Move to Henford on Bagley and have the simple living and wild foxes lot challenges on. 2. Complete your aspiration. 3. Open a business selling either canned ingredients or baked goods including wedding cakes (or both!) 4. Make all of the canned recipes using ingredients gown on your own lot (except those than can’t be grown): apple jam, meat substitute, mushroom conserve, tomato sauce, blackberry jam, blueberry jam, raspberry jam, strawberry jam, chocolate syrup, custard, mayonnaise, aubergine conserve, lettuce conserve, pumpkin conserve, watermelon conserve, oversized mushroom conserve and cowberry jam. 5. Become good friends with all of the key Henford-on-Bagley residents: Grocery Shopkeeper, Garden shopkeeper, Creature Keeper, Mayor and Grocer Deliverer and complete at least 3 favours from each of them. 6. Come first place in all of the fairs. 7. Complete the cross stitching skill. 8. Woohoo in the animal shed. 9. Hatch an obsidian egg. 10. Collect all of the messages in the bottles from Tartosa. 11. Before getting married host at least two of the following events: Engagement Dinner, Bach party, rehearsal dinner or family gathering. 12. Get married in Tartosa to someone with the lactose intolerant trait and plan a full wedding with a flower pal, ring bearer and sim of honour. 13. Throw the wedding bouquet to one of your Henford on Bagley friends. 14. Get divorced when the heir for Gen 15 is a teen and move to Copperdale.

Generation 15 – High School Stories and Werewolves

Despite their dream wedding and promises of spending their lives together, your parents separate and you move to Copperdale with one of them just as you are about to start High School. Away from the slow pace of the countryside you dive into parties, socialising and exploring. You want nothing more to be the most popular teen at Copperdale High. After sneaking out of your bedroom window one night to party with your friends you end up with a nasty injury, thinking nothing of it you continue to enjoy your party lifestyle, soon however you transform into a werewolf – how will you survive high school as a teen wolf??!!

Traits: Party Animal, and others of your choice. Aspiration: Admired Icon (Teen) and Werewolf Initiate after you have aged up. Career: As a teen earn money via Trendi or via one of the part time careers that came with HSY (simfluencer or video game streamer). You can pursue any career/money making activity you want as a YA/Adult.

Teen Years: 1. Move to Copperdale as with one of your parents as you age up to a teen. 2. Become a werewolf. 3. Complete your Teen aspiration. 4. Join the simfluencer or video game streamer (or make money regularly through Trendi). 5. Join one of the following afterschool clubs: cheer team, chess team, computer team, football team. 6. Have at least 3 good friends and pursue 2 romantic relationships whilst in High School. Have a high school enemy! 7. Achieve gold at Prom. 8. Mess around on the Ferris Wheel and photobooth. 9. Complete the entrepreneur skill.

Adulthood: 10. Complete the werewolf initiate aspiration and then one of the four spin-off aspirations that come after this. 11.  Become an Apex werewolf. 12.  Join a werewolf pack and become the Alpha. 13.  Become enemies with another occult sim (e.g. vampire/alien). 14.  Complete the Moonwood relic collection. 15.  Fully explore all of the tunnels to unlock the ability to travel between them. 16. Marry another werewolf and adopt at least 1 child. The adopted child will be the heir for Gen 16. 16.  Research and discover the werewolf cure, cure yourself and your partner (and any werewolf children). Once cured move the entire family to San Sequoia.

Generation 16 – Growing Together & Home Chef Hustle

After your parents finds the cure for their lycanthropy, the whole family decide a fresh start is needed and you move from Moonwood Mill to San Sequoia. Growing up in Moonwood Mill with werewolves for parents you have developed a close bond with your family and have a desire for the whole family to live together under one roof, always. Your parents put so much effort into loving and raising you, you want to do the same for yours and make them proud grand-parents. Whilst raising your family, you don’t want to work a typical job and instead pursue your passion for cooking by selling food to the locals.

Traits: Family orientated, loyal, and one of your choice. Aspiration: Appliance Whiz or Market Magnate Career: None - earn money by selling food.

1.    Move to San Sequoia and live in a multi-generation home your entire life with your parents, your partner, and your children (except the heir for Gen 17 who will eventually move out).

2.    Complete your aspiration. Never get a traditional job and make money from cooking and selling food (via the food sales table that came with Home Chef Hustle).

3.    Marry someone you have amazing compatibility with.

4.    Have a minimum of four children and at least 1 must be a science baby. Each child should have one of the childhood aspirations that came with Growing Together: Playtime Captain, Creative Genius, Slumber Party Animal, Mind and Body and you need to complete it.

5.    Each child should have at least 3 milestones from each category (Fine Motor, Firsts, Gross Motor and Social) before the end of the infant life stage.

6.    All toddlers must have at least level 3 in all skills before the end of the toddler life stage.

7.    Get Gold for all new events: Baby Shower, Slumber Party and Family Reunion.

8.    Sunday is family fun day, each Sunday do family activities: e.g. build a a treehouse (and fully upgrade it), teach your children to ride bikes, have sleepovers, go on group walks, movie & popcorn night, visit the splash park  and play games (including puzzles) together.

9.    Have a family keepsake box and fill it with at least 10 unique items which are connected to your family in some way e.g. photos, trophies, birth and marriage certificate, baby prints, school drawings and tooth fairy certificates.

10.  Fill your home with family photos - at least 30 photos must adorn the walls by the end of your generation.

11.  Each child must have 1 BFF and have traded friendship bracelets with them.

12.  Accept at least 2 family dynamic pop-ups during this generation.

13.  Each child should have high confidence by the time they age to a teen.

14. Woohoo in a tree house.

Notes: *If you don’t have Home Chef Hustle you can ignore the associate rules and pick any aspiration/career you like. *I recommend spacing out having your kids so that you can focus on each life stage and complete the goals for each child. Good luck if you have twins or triplets this will be difficult!

Generation 17 - Horse Ranch

You grew up in a multi-generational home always surrounded by people and noise, sometimes you just like to be on your own. You decide to move to Chestnut Ridge – to the open plains and quiet lifestyle. You purchase a huge, lot that is all yours to fulfil your dream of owning a ranch and raising horses. You love nothing more than getting up early and taking a ride alone with nothing but your horse for company and the wind in your hair. Your parents find your decision difficult at first, but they support you and offer your financial aid to start your ranch but you refuse it and decide to rely on yourself and your savings to get you started. You are quite determined that you never want to get married or have children of your own, but meet someone special along the way that changes this.

Traits: Horse Lover, Rancher and Loner. Aspiration: Championship Rider or Expert Nectar Maker Career: None - earn money from your ranch, horse breeding, horse competitions, shearing and milking mini-animals and doing jobs through the community board.

1.       Move to Chestnut Ridge and live on the largest lot (64x64) which must be empty (bulldoze the lot) at the start. Set your funds to £5000 to build your starting ranch.

2.       Have the prairie grass lot trait on (you can also pick simple living/off the grid/great soil if you wish).

3.       Complete at least 10 jobs from the Chestnut Ridge Community Board.

4.       Own at least 1 mini-goat, 1 mini-sheep and at least 10 harvestable plants at all times (if you choose to you can also own chickens, llamas, dogs, cats and cows at any time you wish).

5.       Have at least 3 horses at all times (can include foals).

6.       Hire a ranch hand.

7.       Get Gold on a Ranch Gathering and Ranch Animal Day.

8.       Ranch life can be lonely, go to the bar every Saturday night, enjoy a glass of nectar or two and indulge in some line dancing to ensure you have some sort of social life.

9.       Marry your ranch hand and have at least 1 child.

10.   Breed at least 3 foals, and unlock the 4 hidden traits that can only be obtained through breeding: Champion Genes, Curious, Hardy and Playful.

11.   Complete the nectar making skill and horse riding skill.

12.   Have 1 horse that has maxed all horse skills: temperament, agility, jumping and endurance.

13.   Have a nectar cellar and age your nectar there in nectar racks. Make at least 1 bottle the different versions of nectar: apple, grape, strawberry, potato, prairie grass, trash, energy, moon petal, plasma, valerian, fruit, berry and vitality.

14.   Get gold at the master level of each competition and proudly display these at the entrance to your ranch.

15.   Visit the secret cave of Dreadhorse Caverns in Chestnut Ridge and get the buff which you’re your sim “braved the Dreadhorse Caverns and lived to tell the tale!”

16.   Have a ranch worth at least £50,000 by the end of the generation.

Family Dynamics Challenge

Greetings, fellow simmers! Welcome to the landing page for our Family Dynamics Challenge, specifically created for the Sims 4. This challenge was created by Pastella Pixels and standingsimmer with the goal to set forth a unique (and fun!) set of guidelines for a ten-generation legacy challenge centered around a variety of family dynamics.

General Rules

Begin with a single sim

Each career and aspiration must be completed unless expressly stated otherwise (if a career branch is not specified, then the choice is completely up to you!)

Generation One: “White picket fence”

From the time that you strike out on your own as a young adult, you dream of cultivating loving familial relationships as rich and unique as the dishes you love to create. You marry younger than some of your friends, raise a bundle of children, and enjoy gardening and entertaining in your spare time. Yet, you still devote a portion of your life to your hidden dream of becoming a master chef.

Traits: Outgoing, Foodie, Family-Oriented

Aspiration: Successful Lineage

Career: Culinary (Master Chef branch)*

Rules:

Complete at least five (5) gold-level dinner parties

Master cooking and baking skills

Marry as a YA and stay happily married until “death do us part”

Have 3-4 children

Maintain a garden with at least 10 unique plants, including a cowplant

Complete at least ¾ levels of aspiration

*Upon completing level 5 of the Culinary career, you may also choose to leave the career and open a restaurant instead

Generation Two: “Why ever leave?”

You were raised to believe that “home is where the heart is.” And because of this, you rarely venture into the outside world unless given a really good reason to do so. You choose not to leave your parents’ home to pursue your own path at the same time that a lot of others do. Video games and programming became your passion while holed up in your basement bedroom, and thankfully your career of choice doesn’t require a lot of socialization. Leftover pizza, anyone?

Traits: Lazy, Slob, Geek

Aspiration: Computer Whiz

Career: Tech Guru (eSport Gamer branch)

Rules:

Win a GeekCon competition while cosplaying

Meet spouse at GeekCon

Master programming and video gaming skills

Play the guitar as a hobby (no skill requirement) 

Order pizza for dinner at least one night per week

Never move out of childhood home until parents have died

Generation Three: “Support my family”

Being raised by a parent with an affinity for keeping close to home never quelled your sense of adventure and love for the outdoors when growing up. You love finding hidden treasures and collecting “useless” items, hoping to convince others of their value. Being made a single parent at a young age only helped to build the desire within you to remain free of the clutches of a “normal” job or relationship. And so, you devote your heart to running your own business and being the best parent that you can.

Traits: Cheerful, Unflirty, Loves the Outdoors

Aspiration: The Curator

Career: Self-employed (owns a retail store and sells collectibles/woodworking creations)

Rules:

Become a single parent as a young adult

Master handiness and charisma skills

May sell items at Flea Market whenever possible

Visit the secret lot in Oasis Springs

Travel to a vacation world at least 3 times

Generation Four: “Laugh away the pain”

Let’s be honest: you had a pretty good upbringing. Even though there were some rough patches, you know that your parent did the best they could to raise you alone. But, deep down, being alone is the very thing you fear more than anything. So, you cover it up with laughter,…both the laughter which bubbles from inside you and that which you try to create in others. You marry young in a desperate attempt to fill the emptiness that drives you, only to find later that your spouse has chosen another. Eventually, you have to face the fact that your family and the laughter are enough to hold you up. Oh, and did we mention you mix some crazy DJ tapes in your free time?

Traits: Goofball, Romantic, Active

Aspiration: Joke Star

Career: Entertainer (Comedian branch)

Rules:

Master DJ and comedy skills

Reach level 5 of the fitness skill (jogging only)

DJ at a club at least once per week

Marry first GF/BFas a YA

Turn blind eye to spouse’s cheating

Eventually divorce spouse; never remarry

Generation Five: “Struggling in the city”

You come from a broken home. Growing up, you witnessed first-hand the havoc that infidelity can bring on a family. You determine from a young age that you will pour your soul into forging close relationships with your spouse and children. The city draws you, and it is there that you decide to make your home. However, despite your best efforts as a doctor later in life, tragedy claims one of your children long before their time. You wear a shroud of sadness from then on, but find that the love of your remaining child(ren) and your ability to express yourself through song might just pull you through in the end.

Traits: Gloomy, Genius, Music Lover

Aspiration: Super Parent

Career: Doctor

Rules:

Master singing and parenting skills

Reach level 5 of the logic skill

Live in an apartment from YA onwards

Have more than one child

Win at karaoke night at least once

Lose one child to death

Visit child’s grave at least once per week; leave their bedroom untouched

Generation Six: “Living with a broken heart”

You lost a sibling at a very young age and witnessed your parents’ grief while still trying to process it yourself. Rather than trying to pick up the pieces, you let the sadness consume you. You give into your darkest thoughts. Theft and criminal activity appeal to you, and eventually you give yourself over to that lifestyle. Even though you’re more at home in your contemplative solitude, you take comfort once in a one-night-stand. But there’s a surprising side to you; the raging in your heart is only calmed by the time you spend cultivating life in the soil.

Traits: Kleptomaniac, Loner, Vegetarian

Aspiration: Public Enemy

Career: Criminal

Rules:

Run away from home as a teen & never speak to parents again

Do not “inherit” any money from parents

Garden as a coping method

Master mischief and gardening skills

Steal at least 10 items over the course of generation

Have a one-night-stand with a coworker that results in pregnancy

Generation Seven: “Here to make a difference”

There is only one word to describe your childhood: lonely. You knew from a young age that the parent you lived with took no pleasure in your company, and you’ve always felt that you were the “mistake” that resulted from a careless decision. As a result, you pour effort into building relationships with those who truly care about you, and even attempt to mend relationships with those who don’t. You have a core group of people who mean the world to you, and you spend as much time with them as you can. Becoming a politician was an obvious choice, as it provides you with the tools you need to reach others. And while you’re a social creature by nature, you never turn down the opportunity to curl up with a good book.

Traits: Good, Insider, Bookworm

Aspiration: Friend of the World

Career: Politician (Charity Organizer branch)

Rules:

Attempt to mend relationships with estranged grandparents and parent

Maintain a club of “besties” from YA onwards

Have a movie night with club once per week

Master the charisma and wellness skills

Marry a club member

Read at least 10 unique books over the course of the generation

Have at least two biological children and adopt at least one child

Volunteer with family at least twice

Generation Eight: “Working with animals is my passion”

Growing up, you were constantly surrounded by family and close friends who loved you. But you desired more than just human interaction. Animals are your passion, and your biggest dream is becoming a vet and opening your own clinic someday. Even though starting up your own business means you have to live with your parents longer than most of your friends, you don’t mind because it means you’re close the people you love. In fact, closeness and similar interests cause you to fall in love with someone who works at your vet clinic, and they don’t mind that you can’t yet afford a place of your own. In your “spare time” (hah!), you enjoy photographing places near and far, searching for that perfect shot. Between trying to run a successful clinic and your photography hobby, you’re not able to spend as much time with your children as you like. But that’s okay; you’re out there living your dreams.

Traits: Cheerful, Self-Assured, Cat Lover OR Dog Lover (player chooses)

Your parents worked hard for every penny that they earned, but you were just left feeling like they didn’t care about you as much as the animals they tended. Your grandparents are your closest friends while they’re still alive. After all, they practically raised you. As a young adult, you desire the family you feel you never had and start a family quickly…only to find out that you’re married to someone you don’t love as much as you should. You have a “responsible” 9-5 at the local business office, but you also possess real musical talent. Even though you would never consider leaving your job at the office, investing in your music is something you do quite regularly. You eventually remarry after finding real love, and enjoy the rest of your life mediating a mixed family. Will you find true happiness amidst the wealth and your high-powered job?

Objectively speaking, your life is great. You never really wanted for anything as a child. The overactive imagination that you possess lends itself perfectly to your love of writing. The supernatural fascinates you, but more than anything you desire to find true love. When your significant other suddenly dies prematurely, you immediately begin to seek out a way to bring them back to you. As you search, drinking becomes your method to quiet a broken heart and provide a false sense of peace. But at a time when your hope begins to lag, your decision to adopt a child despite your own childlessness is the final push you need to persevere. You succeed in creating your own happy ending following a long line of sims with odd stories: some happy, and some not.

Inspired by one of my own personal flip phones from back in the day. And yes, I do realise that from certain angles, it looks more like one of them old-school sliding mobile phones rather than a flip-phone. Perhaps I just found an excuse to create more of these old school cell phones 🤔 Thoughts?

the joy of life legacy challenge by @simelune 37 generations to keep you playing.

as i was looking for legacy challenges that were being updated as new packs came out, i had the thought "hey, why not just write one myself?" so here we are! i'll do by best to add new generations as time goes on, but seeing as this already has 37 (!!) generations, i think we'll be okay for a bit.

a few notes:

this challenge incorporates mods. i tried to include options for players who do not use gameplay mods, but some generations are built around them.

this challenge uses (almost) all packs. some generations are based off specific packs though, so you could pick and choose which gens you want to do.

this challenge has story aspects. there's a lot of room for you to come up with a story yourself each generation, so have fun with it!

some generations are longer and more involved than others! this is meant to give you a bit of a break and provide variety between generations.

You’ve gone out into the world with nothing but a tent and a dream. As a child you never had your own home. You were bounced from place to place, always dreaming of a suburban home to call your own. With a family of your own. 

As you have since you were a young child, you long for a life of normalcy. You are tired of everything around you being turbulent and broken. So you search for joy in the mundane.

Life is lonely at first, but fortunately you find love with another homeless sim. You have nothing but it feels like absolutely everything with your partner by your side.

You are a care-free, nature loving, and naïve dreamer. Some may call you a hippy, but you just call yourself happy.

From the ground up you create. 

Create candles, fabricate your own furniture, and search dumpsters to make it by. Eventually, you have a home of your own, built by your own two hands. 

A tiny home. 

Not only is this a tiny home, but it is a suburban tiny home! Your dream is finally realized!

You will stay in this comfy small shoe-box size home for the rest of your life. Growing in your garden, raising your children, and selling the things you make for an income at the local markets.

GEN TWO:

Happiness is not only found in a partner.

You grew up extremely loved and cared for by your parents. They were the perfect couple. After watching what seemed to be the perfect love story unfold since you were a child, you feel as though it can’t be possible for you to have the same thing.

 It even begins to feel daunting. 

So you choose to stay away from love. You might go on a date here and there but ultimately your fear and anxiety about having a partner keeps you single for nearly your entire life. 

Though you never wanted a partner, you love children. You have always wanted to be a parent. The idea of giving a small sim a home and love for the rest of their lives makes your heart swell. You want to be that for someone. 

And whoever said you need a partner to have kids? 

You say to heck with societal norms and adopt four children throughout your life. You parent them alone. Even though it’s just you, they have all of the love they could ever ask for. They are happy. Your family is picture perfect. 

You are a SUPER parent and feel that your life is completely full of love even though you never had a romantic interest. 

Until you hit elderhood. Caught by surprise, you meet someone who you instantly connect with. You both have lived your own lives and find yourself completely and fully in love, completely and fully unexpectedly. 

You live out the rest of your days with your new-found soulmate and knit adorable creations for your grand-kids.

GOALS:

- Adopt 4 children (And/or have Science Babys)

- Must not be in a relationship until elderhood 

- Marry as an elder

- Complete Super Parent aspiration

- Have Unflirty & Family Oriented Traits

GEN THREE:

Sometimes life brings you a little bundle of joy in the shape of an accident

As soon as you age out of teenhood, (which was a wild time of partying and homework being turned in late) you become a mixologist at the local bar. 

You are a clumsy sim who fears the sound of commitment but love to have a good time. You enjoy dating new and exciting sims but never commit to anything too serious. 

You love your job and you love that you don’t have to show up for anyone. 

If you don’t have to show up for anyone, then you can’t disappoint them. 

One morning, after a rough night of partying and a whole lot of bubble blowing and juice, you find yourself waking up just not feeling right. You’re tired, you’re feeling ill, and food sounds absolutely revolting. 

You take the test and sure enough you’re pregnant! 

After the initial wave of fear, you touch your belly and feel warmth at the idea of no longer being alone. While children were never the first thing on your mind, you also can’t say you never considered having a few later in life. Turns out later is right now. 

(If your sim is unable to become pregnant a baby will be “dropped off” at your door in three sim days. You don’t know who the parent is. *can use adoption for this*) 

BUT. Who is the parent? You realize then that there are three different possibilities and you won’t know until the baby is here.

Will you confront them when you find out, jump in with them and co-parent, or will you go it alone? It’s up to you! 

GOALS:

- Complete Serial Romantic aspiration

- Complete Mixologist career

- Have Clumsy/Noncommittal/Outgoing Traits

- Begin life alone in a dingy San Myshuno apartment

- Always have a bright/fun hair color

- Must complete the “try for baby” interaction with three different sims all in the same night. 

If you have downloaded MC Command Center, change the chance of conception for Try for Baby to 50% 

If your sim is unable to become pregnant, adopt a baby three days later as if they have been dropped off from an unknown partner. 

- Name child after an alcoholic beverage (I'm sorry) 

- Complete Dancing/Mixology/Juice Fizzing Skills 

- Have a hobby making Juice

- Child Support may be added at 500 simoleons once per week with “UI Cheats” OR “testingcheats on” if you choose to parent alone.

GEN FOUR: 

Bringing beauty out of the broken.

Ever since you can remember, you have loved houses and architecture. 

Late nights being driven to your babysitter’s while your parent worked late nights at the bar, you stared out the window watching overgrown homes fade away. You heart ached for what once was. 

Not only did you love houses, but you loved the broken-down wayward houses at the end of the street. The ones that no one cared for anymore. The ones you felt must have been loved once a very long time ago. 

You could see the potential and the history in every plank of wood and every brick that kept those homes standing. 

As a teen, and into young adult-hood, you find yourself having a terrible habit of befriending and dating “fixer upper” sims. Growing up with your chaotic parent and household, it was hard not to feel that way. 

You had to learn the hard way that you can’t fix sims, so you’d have to stick to houses.

You set off into the world with a goal to turn what was seen as unfixable into beauty. You flip every house on your street, every old and worn down house is made new. You slowly but surely build up the neighborhood into something brand new. 

You work as a freelance artist on the side to sustain yourself and your family. Pinterest is quite literally your best friend. 

You also run a very successful simstagram page where you are sure to post new photos of your projects and of your daily life! 

Through all of this you find the Chip to your Joanna and marry a sim with a passion for woodworking and handiness! Together you flip the disasters that once were into beautiful dreams for other sims.

You soon find out that you were right, these homes could be loved again. 

GOALS:

- Must begin life in Courtyard Lane, Willow Creek. You will flip every house in the neighborhood by the end of your sim’s life through manage worlds (You do NOT have to live in the lot to flip it) 

You may instead place your own run-down builds in those lots and renovate those. 

If you want an extra challenge - wheel spin for a budget! You can add the leftover funds to your sims household using “testingcheats on” or “UI Cheats”

- Marry a sim in the Manual Labor career with passion for woodworking

- Have Self-assured/Ambitious traits

- Complete Freelancer career (Art)

- Every child’s name shares the same first letter (ex. ingrid, isabel, ivy) 

- Complete the Handiness/Painting/Photography skills

- Post to social media once every day

- Live in the final home that you flip

- Be dressed to impress all the time. Growing up in hand-me downs, you felt self conscious. Now you are able to dress as fantastically as your heart desires! 

ALTERNATIVE OPTION: 

- If you own Dream Home Decorator, you may choose to opt out of the DIY neighborhood house building/Freelancer Career and instead complete the Interior Decorator Career

GEN FIVE:

Love always finds a way.

As a child you always had a crush on the neighbor kid next door. 

You were each other’s first friend & first crush. 

As you grew into teenhood, you eventually tested the waters and started to date! It just made sense. You together just made sense. From first friends to first loves, this was a forever thing from the start. It was rare, but it was happening for the two of you. 

That is, until your partner’s family decided to pack up and move to the city.

You tearfully part ways and decide that moving on from each other would be best, as San Myshuno is quite a far reach from your small corner of Willow Creek. 

You were always extremely academic and were preparing for Uni from the moment you entered High School. 

You work hard on your studies. Homework comes before everything else, and if not that, you can be found in a book. You sometimes feel the ache of missing your first love, but you focus on school to dull the pain.

There are dates here and there with new sims, but nothing ever compared to your past love.

You apply for Uni with straight A’s and a dream to become a supreme court Judge. You know you can make a positive change in the world. 

You’re accepted! And on your first day on campus, to your great surprise, you see the person you’ve thought of every day for the past three years. 

Your childhood love. 

You instantly reconnect and quickly your love story unfolds all over again. This time though, there is nothing to separate you. After graduation, you have a beautiful wedding and stay together until you’re old and wrinkly. 

GOALS:

- Complete Logic/Research & Debate/Charisma Skills

- Complete Soulmate Aspiration

- Have the Bookworm & Romantic Traits

- Have A’s in school

- Have twins.. Twice 

- Attend Uni and complete the History Degree

- Complete the Law career (Judge branch)

- Have the most wholesome wedding that any sim has ever seen

- Must be best friends with another sim through childhood, date that sim as a teen, and then be separated. 

- Must reunite with said childhood love in University and remain together for the rest of your days! 

GEN SIX:

I make up my own story as I go. Most often it changes and rides with the flow. 

Ever since you can remember, you haven’t been sure of anything. 

You aren’t sure if you have a favorite color, a favorite type of music, or even a favorite food! 

You seem to change your mind about the same subject ten times a day. It’s exhausting for everyone around you, but this is just your normal. 

Your clothing is mismatched. A different style every day and for every outfit. Your home is a tornado of contemporary, traditional, eclectic, and modern. 

You live in clutter. It’s.. a lot. But you wouldn’t have it any other way. Somehow, the mess is comforting to you. 

You constantly have a new skill you’re interested in, always picking up a new “thing” 

And your mismatched mind even goes as far as your relationships (which you bounce in and out of like it’s nobody’s business) 

By the time you’re an elder you’ve been married three times and finally settle with someone who is the exact opposite of you. A perfectionist who deals with all of your mess because they truly do love you. They don’t want to change you, and that makes your heart sing. Because for all of your life before them, that has been everyone else’s goal.

You go with the flow, you change your hair, you start woodworking at 12am. Your soul is a chaotic but beautiful mess and that’s just the way you like it. 

GOALS:

- Complete the Renaissance Sim aspiration

- Have a different style and/or mismatched colors for every outfit

- Randomize one outfit completely (that little dice button will be your best friend)

- Change hair color every time you age up 

- Be married three times (and divorced twice)

- Have and then lose five friends

GEN SEVEN:

Nature holds us close when others do not

Ah, to live a life of peace and quiet. The only sounds being the water rushing behind your cottage (one with a perfect aesthetic)

No need to dream of it, because this IS your life! 

You grow up feeling very passionate about the environment and the world around you. Your parent was a MESS. You had a fun childhood, but their constant hobby jumping was terrible for the environment. 

As soon as you become a young adult, you swear off all electricity and plumbing. You want to undo the damage that Sim-kind does to the world in any way possible.

You spend your days repairing windmills and solar panels, showering in rain water, painting to make a living, and attending protests in the city when possible. Even though you hate leaving your isolated home.

You live for being alone, but mostly because you find it hard to talk to people. Creating real connections can be difficult but one day you hope to have another someone in your life who is also content to live in the quiet.

You can often be found hiking, biking, swimming, scuba diving, and even at the base of Mt. Komorebi in your spare time! Nature is your closest friend. 

When you aren’t hiking, you’re playing with your pet raccoon. You found him digging in the trash one night and just couldn’t leave him. I mean, look at his beady little eyes! 

Until one day on a hike when you find another loner. 

Another lover of the quiet and peaceful life.

And you feel a warmth in your chest that you haven’t for years. 

Love. 

Together, you raise one single child (you still aren’t TOO fond of people, let’s be real) and live the rest of your days in your warm little corner of the world. 

GOALS:

- Have Gloomy/Loner Traits

- Complete Curator Aspiration

- Live in a small beach home OR woodland cottage

- Live Off the Grid for entire life

- Join a protest whenever possible (or donate to the cause)

- Have a raccoon for a pet

- Must be a Scout as a Child

GEN EIGHT:

Being known by one person who truly sees you is worth more than 1000 eyes watching

It’s always been about you and only you from the moment you opened your star studded eyes. You were an only child who grew up in a small off the grid cottage, but you longed for something more.

As a teen your walls were covered in boy band posters. You were constantly singing and as soon as you were a teen, your heart was set on acting. 

You longed to be known, to be wanted, to be seen. By every sim alive.

You’re also a liiiittle full of yourself. But aren’t we all sometimes? 

And regardless, beneath all of the self-absorbed layers you have a huge heart. You volunteer once a week, donate to charities whenever possible, and you have a deep love for animals. 

You age up and instantly move to Del Sol Valley where you join the acting career. You soon meet a sim who is mega famous but their personality does not match up to what the public sees. You fall in love quickly and get married as a young adult. 

Soon you have one child with them, but you find out that they are not all that they seem.

You catch them cheating on you with your rival in the industry. You know your worth and instantly end it, taking your child with you. 

You start over from the beginning, building your career off of your own back as a single parent. But you are strong and you persevere. 

Throughout all of this, you do find fame. But you also find real and true love with a sim not at all interested in the lime light who also has a child. 

You live your days in a beautiful penthouse apartment and adore your perfect blended family. 

GOALS:

- Have Self-Absorbed/Good traits

- Volunteer once a week 

- Donate to charity once a week

- Always have three pets in household 

- Get married as Y/A to an Romantic/Mean sim

- Have one child with that spouse

- Must catch your mega famous spouse cheating on you with a sim that is your enemy

- Find love with a non-famous sim who has a child

- End up in penthouse apartment (can cheat for money) 

- Master Acting/Charisma Skills

- Complete Acting Career

GEN NINE: 

Sometimes the truth remains only in your heart. 

You are the definition of a rainbow.

You are a bright shiny smile on a cloudy day and you LOVE color!

As a creative, you spend your spare time writing and daydreaming about new stories. 

But you have a secret interest hidden inside of you. 

You are absolutely obsessed with the paranormal. Your main goal in life is to prove the existence of every occult that has been whispered about for years, the stories only found in long forgotten pages of dusty books. 

As a child growing up in opera houses, theatres, and movie sets with your parent, your interest was sparked by stories of long forgotten ghosts hiding in the shadows of the old buildings.

You want to prove to the world that these things are real because in your sunshiny heart, you feel that magic must exist. 

And so you pack up and move to the town that nearly every sim strays from on long trips. 

You move to Forgotten Hollow. But you will not succumb to the neighbors tastes in style. You build the most flamboyant home that there ever was.

You are an extremely paranoid sim, but does that mean that you’re wrong? You don’t think so.

You spend your entire life searching for any occult. 

The most amazing part? You find every. Single. One. 

You write a book of your encounter for each occult and befriend all of them. 

You even end up marrying a rather handsome spellcaster! 

Even though you have a peace inside of you now that you were always right, that your life was not for waste, the Sim world is not quite ready to believe your stories. They love your books! But assume they were fiction. 

You’re okay with that. Because in your heart, you know the truth. And you now have a little piece of magic, too.

- Write a book on each of the following occults:

GEN TEN: 

I know that I’m strange. But magical was nothing I’d ever dreamt of.

From the moment you were born there was  a certain magic about you. Everyone could feel it. 

You felt different too. 

But what did different mean? You know that your parents spent their entire life searching for answers to the paranormal. You know that they believe in it with their whole heart. But you’re still skeptical. Until one day when you follow the pages of their book, desperate for answers about yourself. 

To your great surprise you happen upon a strange archway. A magical portal to another world. Carefully you step in, disbelief buried deep inside of you but hope overpowering it. Hope for answers. 

You discover that your true self is a spellcaster. Not only that, but one of your parents is a spellcaster too. Your world is flipped upside down in an instant.

You begin to try and learn what this means. You study wizardry, you find a wand, a familiar, and a broom. You try your hardest to go back to your average life in the business tract but you can’t focus.

Magic is your entire life now. 

But the world isn’t ready for magic. Sims are afraid of the unknown, and so you hide your secret life within the walls of your home. 

You fall in love with a mortal and eventually find the courage to confide in them that you are a wizard. They didn’t even blink at this information. They too knew that there was something different about you. But oh so wonderful, too.

Eventually, they make the decision to become a wizard as well.

Together you live a beautiful life full of magic. Not just the kind with spells and potions, but that most special kind of magic. Love. Memories made between the two of you. 

And as sappy as it is, you truly live happily ever after.

[gloomytrait] Semi-Functional Strollers

Take your Sims' toddlers and infants for a walk in these cute portable strollers!

Hey again, everyone, I hope you're all doing well! Here's a new functional item that I finished in record speed. It was quite a bit of work and I ran into a lot of issues along the way. I was pretty close to giving up but I pushed through and I'm pretty proud of the final result.

Unlike the walkers in my last post, this item offers a little bit more gameplay. This stroller works as a high chair, so toddlers and infants can sit, eat and take naps in them. They can also be placed in your Sims' inventory so you can take them with you when your Sims visit other lots.

This item has 30 swatches, dark colors and pastels, so there's something in it for everyone.

Known issues: Unfortunately, this item is far from perfect. Most of the issues I saw when testing it in game were clipping issues. The backs of the Sims' heads will clip through the top part of the stroller. The mesh is also very high poly, so please only use them if you have a decent PC. I'm hoping to make a low poly version in the future!

Inspired by the adorable Sims 2 store item, I've created a base game playmat with similar design, it functions the same as the portable infant crib and all animations adjusted to work as intended! yes even the mobile upgrades included.

We finally got the infants! They’re so cute, right? ^^

I’m sure a lot of creators are working on beautiful cc for them.

I decided to create an override version for their bath seat.

I kept the same style, but made an alpha version. It’s a mix of my mesh with EA’s.

There are 12 versions for you to choose which one you want to use :)

DOWNLOAD & INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:

* The 12 package files are inside the zip/folder below. After you download and extract it, keep only the package file of the color you want and delete the other files.

* On the picture (link here) it  you can see all the different swatches. Let’s just say that you want the “Yellow”, for example. Then you’ll only keep the “channel4sims - baby bath seat override - yellow” file and delete the other ones.

* You can only use 1 override at a time.

* Don’t put the file inside more than 2 folders, or it may not work.

Example 1: Mods/Overrides/ (your file here). I Two folders, it’ll work✔️

Example 2: Mods/Overrides/Infants/ (your file here) I Three folders, it may nor work  ❌
