I honestly never expected them to reach 30 seasons, so the fact they made it is spectacular. As much as this show makes me angry, being new to it I have come to enjoy it very much. Congratulations to them. I think I'd personally would like to see Tom and Erin come back for, even if it's for one episode.

I agree, I love the show even though it makes me mad at times lol. But they could do a special Tuesday night episode like they did for the 200th episode and 10 year anniversary specials where they had a lot of former celebs and pros come back.

Even now, you can the judges bias for certain pros. Carrie for example and her attitude towards Artem and almost any female partner he has but especially with Kaitlyn on Season 29.

Carrie Ann even admitted that she was harder on Artem due to their past relationship.

Just confirmed that the show has been renewed for season 30.

It’s a huge milestone, and there’s been talk about doing something special for this season. What would you all like to see happen for this season?

The judges do seem to have pros they like more than others...

True, which would be fine but I think it effects their comments and scoring at times.

I think the judges definitely didn’t like Lacey, lance’s partner. They always criticized everything they did.

I agree! Lacey wasn’t well received, she didn’t match the ballroom tone and they let her know that. She would fit better on the show now it’s more her style.

Hi everyone! I came across this article and thought it would be interesting to discuss. Former contestants Vivica Fox (season 3) and Lance Bass (season 7) took part in other former contestant Lisa Vanderpump’s (season 16) podcast.

They share their experiences on the show and made claims about the judges being biased towards them as contestants based on the judges’ feelings about their pro partners.

I’d love to hear what you all may have to say about this topic. Do you think the judges prefer some pros over others? I personally say yes. Let me know what you think! :)

Beautiful Skai, with these last two dances you not only proved that you are a great dancer but that you had so much more to give in the competition. You started strong, you may have lost your way, but you never stopped fighting, and on your final night you not only redeemed your cha cha but your place as a top contender in the competition. 

I truly believe the judges did you a great disservice this season. I myself knew that you needed to work on your feet and balance and the judges never told you that (with a one time exception from Derek, but it was long over due to have been said). The judges could have told you more, and it shows because one week of rehearsals with Bruno and we got these two amazing performances from you that are hands down your best. You were back to the same confidant Skai you were week 1 and you even surpassed that first performance. Its a shame you won’t get to continue, and I hope they do some type of redemption or second chance season, if not all-stars, because I’m sure this was just the beginning of what you could do.

You were truly amazing throughout the competition Johnny. You may have had a rough start but you definitely showed that you were definitely a tough competitor. The partnership between you and Britt is seen clearly and you two were a great match. It’s a shame you did not make the finals, I admit I wasn’t sure how long you’d last at first but without a doubt you should be in the finals and your freestyle would’ve been great I’m sure. 

Britt you did an amazing job as a first time pro. Not too many pros can say they made it to the semi-finals in their first season, and that is a testament to your teaching, creativity, and leadership. You better still be a pro when Witney and Lindsay return because you proved yourself, you should be able to continue and to have a place along side them as pros, hopefully they expand the cast.

Nev is a rockstar, if he doesn't win I'm over the season honestly.

Justina, not gonna lie she had lost me these past few weeks but she won me back over with her contemporary. It was super swest and well danced.

Really glad these two made the finals.

Ok, I haven't given my thoughts on every contestant yet this season but I'm gonna go ahead and just let it all out.

So, what's really upsetting is Nelly making it to the finals... it's just so upsetting. I give him props for his salsa dance off and this jive tonight was killer, but come on, two good dances compared to a whole season of not doing anything and he gets to make it???

Next, I'm not a Kaitlyn fan. She's overscored and always boring and unmemorable. The judges have hyped her up to be better than what she is and don't get me wrong she is good, but she's not THAT good. That whole drama with Carrie Ann was so annoying, but I was glad Carrie Ann was saying something because she's not at the level Derek and Bruno say.

I personally would have wanted these two eliminated. Nelly for the obvious reasons and nothing against Kaitlyn personally, I think she’s just overhyped.

This season went from the most boring and lackluster season ever to probably the most eventful and intense semi finals ever!!!!

I'm shook, i'm upset... I don't even know what to say...

Semi finals

This pretty much sums up how I feel about tonight's semi finals.

Not gonna lie Skai has been scaring me these past few weeks, but this dance has hopefully put her back on the right track. I think one of the biggest issues is their height difference. She tends to stumble and not be strong in her legs and I think its de to dancing with someone so much taller than she is. You can see in their Jazz when Alan dips her and such that she loses balance because of the extra momentum. 

This dance though, they used this all to their advantage producing some crazy lifts. I especially loved that “Lindsay Style” flip at the end. Her confidence was back more this night too, I don’t think she ever fully recovered from her samba mishap, but hopefully this leads to more great dances.

Nev is definitely the surprise of the season for me, I didn’t know what to expect when he was cast but he has been consistently great throughout the season so far so its fitting for him to get the first perfect score.

The judges’ scoring this season makes absolutely no sense. How does Skai get all fives for one mess up but Carole gets a six? Even though Skai still killed every other part of that dance??

I could let that particular incident go, but it’s only getting worse. 

How did Nelly get three nines for that argentine tango on villains night? Daniella did all of the work while he just hit the same pose over and over. Then Chrishell’s paso had hardly any paso content in it and she gets a 26. They were in hold for like two steps. I wish Len were here, because he would’ve called Gleb out on that. 

Then Kaitlyn gets a seven and an eight... I figure the seven was probably for the lift and Carrie Ann would’ve given an eight otherwise, but how do you justify Nelly and Chrishell nines but Kaitlyn gets a seven? I’m not even a fan of Kaitlyn but I admit she’s better than majority of the competition.

Johnny is definitely improving, he’s not as strong as the other figure skaters started as I think a lot of us were expecting, but he’s growing. He really has to work on dancing with a partner. This is a tough challenge for Britt as a new pro but she’s doing great with him.

Nelly really needs to loosen up, he could do so much more if he relaxes and just enjoys the show. Daniella is great though, I hope she gets to stick around as a pro.
