He wasn't really sure if that was the right word, but it'd have to work for now. It's not like he was all there either; crunch time was about to start and he was definitely not ready for it (not that he ever would be, of course).

Still, he guess he could let all  this slide, just this once.

     "Trouble sleeping? Can't      you just like, take something      for that?"

Oh, Chris. Why must you be so clueless about... everything?

        “No, really, I’m sorry. I normally pay attention to what people have to say. I promise I wasn’t trying to ignore you or anything. Your theories really interest me and sadly, with this one, I just managed to daze off ‘cause my brain refuses to pay attention to anything for more than 10 seconds. Trust me, I zoned out during a few Let’s Plays earlier, it’s nothing personal.” She told him. She felt bad that she zoned out on him and it wasn’t that it was because he was boring, but because insomnia had been kicking her ass. She enjoyed listening to him ramble on about everything and she found him entertaining, but today was just not her day. She sighed. “I know, but I’ve been having trouble sleeping.” She said.

   "I've gotten pretty close to that,    actually. And I don't even have    to share an office with him."

He honestly didn't even know why he came up here. He almost never interacted with her, even when they were the only two in the office. Maybe he just wanted her to just go home so he could finally concentrate on his new script? Hell if he knew.

     "Yeah, don't worry, I know. And      hey, you're better than me; I only      lasted five minutes."

     ”I agree, and I’m surprised none of       us have busted our eardrums from       his screams.”

The girl nodded, before glancing at her phone, checking the time. Was it that late already? With two missed texts from Ryan, who was probably wandering why she was there so late.

      “I’m just as psycho as Ry and Michael,       so I kinda manage to play like…fifteen minutes       into the game before I started the breakdown.”

           "I guess it's fine."

He spent most of his downtime coming up with that theory since, well, it wasn't like he had anything else to do, so he was sort of bummed that the first person he told missed most of it. Oh well, there's other people in the office who'd probably care a lot more.

     "You should really learn to sleep, though.      Staying awake so long isn't really that good      for you."

     She caught the end of his theory, then sighed at his comment. “I’m sorry, Chris. It’s just, it’s been a really long day, and I didn’t get any sleep last night and I’m sorry.” She told him. “Your theory was interesting though, from what I picked up.”

     "I can see why. I really don't      know why his vocal cords haven't      been permanently damaged yet."

He leaned on the door frame, almost missing it and falling as he did so. It was pretty late, so he wasn't exactly sure why she was still here screaming her lungs out. Maybe it was just a really busy day?

     "Really? The Impossible Game?      I'm surprised you even lasted this      long; I thought that most people would      be having a major breakdown by now."

    “Alright. It’s kinda…odd being in here alone.     Michael’s screaming usually drowns mine out.”

Selena gave a sheepish laugh and pulled off the headset, pushing away from the desk.

     ”He suggested that Impossible Game       and I’m surprised I haven’t broken my       computer yet.

     "...And that's why they didn't get the      eagles to fly the ring to Mount Doom."

It was at the end of his rant when Chris  finally realized that the other didn't hear  a word of his completely accurate theory.  Great.

     "Hey, it's sort of rude to just zone out      when someone's talking, you know."
