this is such a funny question to ask me bc i dont watch movies at ALL. like i mean Never. so here comes an undoubtedly very funny list
1. Annihilation (2018). my favorite of all time. gorgeous visuals. on the edge of my seat the entire movie. after it was done i stared at the wall mouth agape for 20 minutes until my tv went to the screensaver
2. The Shape Of Water. need i explain
3. Nope (2022). this fucking smacked. the interwoven parallels were so masterful i was blown away
4. What We Do In The Shadows (movie, not show). in here solely because ive seen it like 4 times and i've never gotten tired of it
5. Puss In Boots 3. are you kidding me? this is the most beautiful animated film i've ever seen. the animation technique is top notch. the plot is average family movie yadda yadda but the execution was so good
honorable mention for Tokyo Godfathers (just really vivid characterization and empathetic depiction of homeless people) and Pixar's Up (only movie to make me cry within the first 10 minutes)
