Heyy ! First off i love your posts sm !! I was wondering if you have any leopika headcanons ?
Hi!!! Thank you so much, I’m glad you like my posts :D I do have a longer post about Leopika headcanons here but I’ll share some extra ones here for funsies
• Although I do not think this would happen in canon, I looooove the fic trope where Kurapika shows up on Leorio’s doorstep needing his wounds patched up sometime between Yorknew and the election arc. In fact I have written one of these myself hehe shameless plug
• I love to incorporate bits from Leokuradio in my version of Leopika. Clingy drunk Kurapika will always be famous to me
• Also a big fan of Kurapika’s eyes turning red from happiness during significant moments with Leorio
• And I love the hc that Leorio has a big family that basically adopts Kurapika as one of their own as soon as they meet him
That’s all that comes to mind rn!! I love those two sm

Leopika Proposal/Wedding Headcanons
I helped out with a wedding the other day and these two weirdos by the names of Kurapika and Leorio have been on my mind for way too long. So, because I was just in a wedding environment, and I have an obsession, I decided to combine these two efforts into headcanons! Enjoy!
Proposal:
Leorio is the one who proposes to Kurapika, but it took him a whole lot of courage to do so. He's just such a nervous guy and, despite how much he knows Kurapika loves him, he has that nagging voice in his head of "But what if he does say no?" and it literally never leaves
Henceforth, it takes him months to finally work up the courage, and it's mainly due to all the other Zodiacs chiming in and telling him it'll all be okay. In reality, the Zodiacs are just sick of the romantic tension those two have without being formally engaged
Kurapika doesn't like big crowds or being the center of attention (unlike his boyfriend), and Leorio knows this, so he tries to keep everything on the down low. But he still goes out of his way to make sure that the whole day is special. He takes Kurapika out to their favorite restaurant, probably an Italian place (Moody Restaurant, anyone? 👀 jkjk), buys him whatever he wants, browses different stores with him in Yorknew like the bookstore, and just cherishes the moments
He finally proposes in the Yorknew park where they reunited all those years ago, because it just holds a special place in both of their hearts. The sun is setting and it's breezy and warm, and everything is just calm and perfect
Leorio proposes to Kurapika in his native tongue. He isn't the best at the language, but Kurapika has grown more comfortable speaking it around the house and Leorio has taken an interest in learning it to preserve the culture. For a few weeks before the proposal, he happened to casually slip the words in that he needed during their lessons, and drafted a speech in order to practice and memorize it
When the proposal finally happened, Leorio butchered some of the words and stumbled over himself because he was just so nervous and couldn't keep from shaking. But Kurapika had absolutely no care in the world - in fact, he didn't even notice. Instead, he was so focused on the fact that someone had taken the time to learn and appreciate his culture and put in all the effort to integrate it into their lives. It was the first time Kurapika's eyes had turned scarlet from happiness and he'd cried from joy since before his clan was killed
The rings weren't that drastically flashy since neither felt the need for them to be so extravagant. Instead, they were a simple gold, with a little scarlet jewel imbedded for the Kurta. Kurapika's ring has Sunshine engraved on the interior, and Leorio's has Dr. Leorio engraved on his, which arises from the intimate nicknames they use for each other
When Kurapika said "yes" Leorio just glowed with happiness. After they had their moment and he put the ring on Kurapika's finger, the first thing he did was call Gon and Killua
The two were ECSTATIC to find out and immediately were congratulating the two and bombarding them with questions and ideas for the wedding. Gon and Killua are the biggest Leopika shippers and you absolutely CAN NOT change my mind
The following day at work (since all the Zodiacs knew about the situation), everyone was so excited to see the rings on their fingers and were happily congratulating them. Oh, and Leorio couldn't keep his eyes off of Kurapika's hand throughout the entire work day because he just couldn't believe that Kurapika was his.
In addition to that, Kurapika strokes his wedding ring whenever he gets nervous or stressed at work to remind him that there's someone who cares about him and loves him when he feels that no one else does
Wedding:
The two decide to give themselves around a year and a half to plan their wedding, deciding to officially hold it in September during the fall
The Hunter Association sponsors their wedding (duh), so they offer one of the floors as the venue, which the couple happily accept
I'm a SUCKER for the Kurta Wedding headcanon, so that will be going in this list. This includes things like them wearing Kurta outfits, having little Kurta relics around the venue, and following their traditions. I also like the idea of the "Scarlet Eyes" or some form of Kurta god(s) being included in the "I do" section of the wedding
Leorio does ask to keep some of the aspects of a "traditional" wedding in their ceremony though, such as Kurapika walking down the aisle or not seeing each other's outfits before the wedding day, which Kurapika happily agrees with
They did decide to get rid of other aspects, though, such as having a best man/men and things like that because they just find it wrong to choose and place some friends/family over others
Their wedding is rather small, with them really only inviting close friends or family to the ceremony. The size heavily depends on Leorio's family, which I headcanon him either having a huge family or none at all, no in between. If it's a huge family, then he definitely invited everyone, and I'm talking all the cousins, second-cousins, nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, etc. It's a lot of people, but they're all very close, and Kurapika is okay with it because he quite likes Leorio's family and they all adore him
At the ceremony, there are four chairs left in the front that are open. When Kurapika asks who they're for, Leorio tells him that they're for Krurapika's parents, Pairo, and Pietro, because "They're a part of us, aren't they? Whether they're present or not." This almost makes Kurapika cry, but he manages to hold it together (this headcanon is inspired by the Luna Lovegood at Harry Potter's wedding headcanon, and I thought it would be sweet to do it with them)
Alluka and Woble (since she'll be older) are the flower girls, much to their excitement. Alluka is literally so excited because she gets to dress as a pretty princess and throw flowers and just feel so girly and it's the best thing ever. She also helps Woble around and leads her through it all like a proud parent, which makes her so happy and full of life
Gon got some native flowers from Whale Island for them to use, since they often have the softest and most beautiful petals, according to him
Mizaistom is the officiant. Don't ask, it just makes sense to me
Melody is the one who plays the music at the wedding, per Kurapika's request. He enjoys the calming environment she brings to her music and desires for it to be shared throughout their ceremony
Since Kurapika has no one to give him away, he asks Gon and Killua to walk him down the aisle together. He wants them to play a key role in the wedding since they played such a key role in their lives, and couldn't imagine giving them separate roles at the ceremony. What better way than to have them help Kurapika move on to the next phase of his life?
Also, just imagine them in their little suits walking Kurapika down to Leorio like is that NOT JUST THE CUTEST THING???
Anyway, when it's finally the day of the wedding the couple could not be more excited for their life to finally begin together. Everything is exactly how they wanted and couldn't be more perfect
Leorio, as much as he doesn't want to admit it, is the BIGGEST emotional baby at stuff like this. When Kurapika accepted his proposal, he cried, just a little. When he finally saw Kurapika walking down the aisle with his Kurta outfit with his two best friends, the waterworks came. And, when he started sharing his vows to his soon-to-be husband, telling him how much he loves him, he could barely get through a few words before he began sobbing
Kurapika, while not nearly as emotional, did tear up at times. And he wasn't upset to admit that his eyes did burn scarlet quite a lot during the ceremony
When they finally kissed and everyone cheered, Gon immediately started crying as he clapped. Killua tried to hide the few tears in his eyes, but not before Gon noticed and pointed it out. His response was simply "S-shut up! No I'm not! I'm not crying, I don't cry!" But eventually they both just gave up and fell into a hug as they balled their eyes out from excitement
They still do a champagne toast despite neither Leorio nor Kurapika liking champagne all that much. They purely did it for tradition, and because the Association supplied it
Music wise, Kurapika walked down the aisle to a soft, instrumental version of Departure. The two walked back down the aisle together with an instrumental version of Hyouriittai. Their first slow dance was done to a traditional Kurta song, one that Kurapika would always sing softly around the house and Leorio fell in love with. I also like the idea of Lament of Scarlet Eyes (Hiiro no Hitomi no Aika) and Dr. Warm-Hearted Miser being included somehow, maybe as introduction music? Or just during the festitivies somewhere
Their cake was beautifully and softly decorated with blue and red, with one layer being chocolate and one being vanilla to represent their clashing personalities, but ability to become a working and wonderful unit
The favorite part of their wedding was simply being able to enjoy each other's company and spend time with their loved ones. The community is really what makes them happy, and their ability to make lasting memories is just one of their favorite things in the world.
Their wedding ends up taking up almost the whole day, which resulted from them just not wanting the happy moments to end. Especially for Kurapika, since he feels like he gets very few of them anymore
When the day finally does end, Leorio and Kurapika just crash at their house, exhausted but never happier. Leorio walks in to their room to find Kurapika calmly reading on his bed, and Leorio collapses on top of his now husband, his head resting on Kurapika's chest. Kurapika eventually ends up closing the book and wrapping his arms around Leorio, and they fall asleep this way as they begin their new life together
Wow! That was a lot, sorry. In case you can't tell, I have a lot of ideas about them. Maybe I'll write a fanfic including all these headcanons, if that's something y'all are interested in, idk. I have too many ideas bouncing in my small brain. But I hope you enjoyed!
