I think Coryo would be a lion from the sanctuary, like Sejanus(but he still remembers the wild life). Coryo, I think, was already born there, and is afraid of the world beyond the sanctuary' fence. But when Marcus, Sejanus' childhood friend, runs away, Sejanus rushes after him, and Coryo, under the influence of Gaul, is forced to try to return Sejanus and Marcus "home". I think the fence could have been damaged by poacher… The boys met wild dogs, and Marcus did not survive this encounter… When it seemed that after a long night the exhausted boys had finally found a quiet place, several adult lions came out from a huge boulder, and the situation became critical: the "domestic" lions meet the "wild" pride of Lucy Gray

Okay, no one said that I had to take promt seriously, so, here's a little sneak peek at literally any formal event where they appear together😋

I have a headcanon, that Corio usually sends his daemon away (either to the floor or away from him). But at formal events, it is good manners for even the smallest daemons to be visible, which is why Mr. President frowns so much even at the beginning of the event.
