Ok this is kinda funny but imagine being surrounded by people who sound like this. The French language was a mistake in the first place but combining it with English…. abomination

not to hop in on the Hottest Discourse but:
age gaps aren’t inherently bad between adults, but they are incredibly suspect in instances where one party has significantly more agency and experience due to their age. a thirty year old dating a forty year old, for instance, isn’t all that big a deal. but an eighteen year old should be VERY suspicious of a thirty year old wanting to get with them. they’ve had twelve years to establish themselves as an adult. an eighteen year old has had maybe a few months to do so.
i’m saying this as a person who briefly dated a thirty year old at age 19 (it wasn’t good lol), and also as a person with happily married parents who have a 12 year age gap. the difference is that my mom was in her thirties when she met my dad; she’d had plenty of time to find a career and a name for herself in the world.
stay safe, love urself, try to make good decisions but don’t beat yourself up if you’ve ever been the victim of an unbalanced or abusive relationship

transphobic or am i reaching??
alright my lil sister’s playing Zelda: BOTW again so i wanna bring up something that bothered me that i never got around to posting about
I’m sure you all are familiar with the sidequest u need to complete to get into Gerudo Town which involves getting gerudo clothes from a person named Vilia on the roof of the Kar Kar Bazaar.
You find out about them from the merchant outside Gerudo Town’s gates and he says that a male merchant dressed up in gerudo garb in order to pretend to be a woman so he could sneak into the town. When you find the person he’s referring to these are your options when you ask them about the merchant.
Now in all reality this could be a cis man pretending to be a woman in order to trick the town guards into letting him into an exclusively female city. That’s i think what the writers had intended. At the same time, her posture, the way she talks about herself and the way she expresses obvious interest in Link frames her as a very obvious trans woman.
When link asks her if she’s a man look at her response!
Sure she doesn’t deny it, but she also doesn’t even answer, suggesting he leave instead. Possibly a deflection so she doesn’t have to answer.
What I’m trying to asses is how much transphobic undertone I can reasonably assign to this whole situation. Trans women are very often depicted as men simply dressing up as women in order to deceive or get things underhandedly so when you’re going around as Link asking the people around the bazaar if they’ve seen a suspicious/shifty character I’ve got to pause.
The sad thing is, she seems very sweet and supportive! I’d love to have her as a friend!
The final nail on the proverbial coffin for me was at the end of the interaction when they show an extremely unnecessary cutscene of the wind blowing away her veil revealing silver facial hair underneath. when i first saw this i actually audibly groaned because of COURSE they had to confirm that YES THIS PERSON IS PRETENDING TO BE A GIRL BC LOOK! FACIAL HAIR! NOT A WOMAN!! and link sighs and shakes his head which i stubbornly interpret as him shaking his head at the writing team, not Vilia.
Anyway point being that even though i can say with great confidence that BOTW is one of my absolute favorite games and is revolutionary in many ways, stuff like this adds nothing to the gameplay and desparages a lot of trans people (myself included) unnecessarily.
I’d love some input from y’all on the subject! And this is a given but TERFS absolutely cannot add anything to this discussion and will be fed to the molduga so fuck off.
