really something that makes personal growth really hard when you're transfeminine is that there is shockingly little useful feedback for fucking up. You could do something absolutely heinous, or merely make the wrong person uncomfortable by existing, and be met with similar levels of scorn and rejection. How the fuck is a girl supposed to learn from its mistakes when many consider its existence a mistake to begin with.

xkcd #122 came out in 2006 and yet still manages to describe a ridiculous number of people on this website. You want your manic pixie dream girl so badly until she has her own interests and isn't just for your amusement.

Sometimes you go to people's account on purpose to get upset and they make too much sense.

The 13th century Swedish peasant boy who's crashing on my couch keeps eating my leftover General Tso's. I always tell him he can order his own but he's all "oh no, just wonton soup is fine with me, it reminds me of winters at home by the fire" but when I open the fridge the next day, what do I see? Not my leftovers! I don't even think they had wontons in medieval Sweden.

one of the most important things you can do as an ally to trans women is defending her first. it鈥檚 important to be aware of her own needs and her fears of being removed for causing problems so you don鈥檛 alienate her from a cruel but necessary family connection or something, but while keeping that in mind, if you鈥檙e in a social situation where someone says something shitty or implies something transmisogynistic to her, don鈥檛 just sit there and wait and watch what she does and how she might stand up for herself, stand up for her. in the past when transmisogynistic things happened to me while with friends, almost every time they flattened behind me and silently waited to see how i dealt with it. save your girls the stress and the loneliness and be there for them first, be around them, be beside them, make them know you have their back, especially if you鈥檙e not a transfem; people will actually listen to you when you say it鈥檚 bigoted

you can make that "older" trans woman feel like a beautiful young lady btw. u can make her feel like the prettiest girl. like if you think a trans woman ages into never being someone's baby the moment she breaches her mid20s or, like, 5'10" and 150lbs, you do not actually like trans women as much as you think.
