El Pavo Real is a delicious Mexican restaurant in the Broadmoore neighborhood. I had the breakfast burrito which is filled with carnitas, smoked potatoes, eggs and cheese and it was one of the best things I ate all week!! Their black bean soup is topped with tortilla strips and is pure fire. Next time I visit I'm trying their pozole (one of my fave Mexican soups).

It was my first time trying Diva Dog last weekend and I absolutely loved it. This is the pothole dog: potato salad, chili, cheese and jalape帽os all atop an all beef dog! The waffle fries are superb, too!

Del Fuego is a bomb Mexican joint in town that I need you to get to!! The green chili chicken enchiladas were sooooooo goooood. They also serve up yummy drinks including micheladas! I also tried one of the burritos (not pictured) and I recommend trying those too.

Sometimes you find yourself in a diner chowing down on late night chili cheese fries and reuben sandwiches. This is a normal part of adulthood right? I think yes. If you haven't made it to Camelia Grill, yet, put it on your list. This is a classic NOLA late night staple, but I personally think diner classics are good all day long!

The mushroom toast from Avenue Pub is stick-to-your bones pure perfection. Warm toast is topped with mushrooms and onions in a creamy sauce and it goes perfectly with a cold, craft beer. This might be my new Ave Pub dish (I typically get the burger)!

Tan Dinh on the West Bank is hailed as one of the best Vietnamese eateries in town and I'd definitely have to agree! The vermicelli bowls are my favorite, and the lemon grass chicken is DOPE!! Definitely worth the short trip to the Wank, friends. Go get yourself some Tan Dinh goodness.

Brisbi's by the lake has a gorgeous view of the harbor and yummy lunch options! The eggplant parm poboy was good but I think the fried green tomatoes topped with lump crab was the better option! I'll admit the food isn't amazing (at least what I tried) but the view and happy hour deals still make it a place I'd return to!

The Curious Oyster is my top pick for oysters in NOLA. It's located in the beautiful Dryades Market on OC Haley. This time I tried a side of hushpuppies with my raw dozen, and holy cow they were AMAZING. They were drizzled in honey and were delectably crunchy! I highly, highly recommend!!

Pho Tau Bay is BACK!! Located off of Tulane Ave this famous NOLA Vietnamese joint is always great. Pictured is the vegetable pho with tofu. The broth was so rich, fitting for a place that is often named as one of the top pho places. This a great place for lunch for all you CBD and downtown folks!

Finally tries Blue Oak BBQ this month!!! It's everything everyone has been saying. Blue Oak is a casual bbq spot in Mid-City with a nice patio. I tried the pork nachos, the brisket sandwich and the garlic mac n cheese. The brisket sandwich was my favorite, followed by the nachos and the mac. The smoked meats were perfectly flavored and tendered. I also loved their large array of bbq sauces from different regions of the country!

CK's Hot Shoppe on Baronne St is a pure Filipino cultural experience and you need to try it. From the outside CK's looks like a corner store but once you walk in you realize its a full blown Filipino restaurant. From left to right you're looking at the fresh lumpia, the pansit (glass noodle stir fry) & the pata (fried pork leg). If you enjoy chicharrones or cracklins you're fonna die and go to heaven with that pata. I recommend all of it, but I recommend you dine with at least 3 others because the portions are huge!

Barcelona Tapas Cafe in Uptown is a lovely little Spanish spot. I went for a friends birthday and the sangria pitcher was perfect for the 3 of us (we each got about 3 glasses out of it). Their chorizo is on point here, and I considered asking the chef if I could buy the whole stick! The lamb chop tapa is also soooo good and tender. It's small (it is a tapa) so get two if you're splitting with more than one other person.

Pizza Delicious lives up to its name. I hadn't been back to this Bywater pie shop in far too long. I almost forgot how good their pizzas were! We got a half margherita and half pepperoni. The sauce and crust thinness is exactly what I crave when chowing down on pizza. I love eating at PD and then walking off some calories at Crescent Park!
