As I am writing this I am on the plane back to Copenhagen. It is the 12th of December 2021. The past four months in Reykjavik, Iceland have been amazing but also very lonely sometimes. . The last couple of days have been filled with goodbyes and parties and it has been such a wonderful time. I have met so many nice people in Reykjavik and there is so many more amazing I will meet in the future. Sadly I had to say goodbye to my polish flatmate who is moving back to Poland. I will miss you so much Klaudia ❤️ . But yeah, it has not been a complete utopia. It has been hard sometimes. I often end up being friends with people who approach me, and Icelandic people are super introverted and don't approach strangers so... 😅 That has been hard work. I have felt lonely now and then, but I guess we all. Things are moving in the right direction, so I am very grateful for that ❤ . My debut album “Bevægende Stilstand” is out now, and maybe you remember the story I told about Moder Stilhed? How I stopped talking about how I was feeling because I saw how my bad mental health affected, -you could almost say infected others. . I started isolating myself and spent most of my time alone. I used all my time making music because in my songs I could be completely honest about how I felt, and when I sang them with my weird quirky voice no one would understand what they were about unless you wanted to understand. . My music ended up being my way of communicating, and when I have met someone who had understood me through my music, it had always felt so special, and I felt such a strong connection to them. . There are now two weeks until my debut album "Bevægende Stilstand" comes out! . I still can't understand it. This has been a process that has been going on for so long, and the goal is finally here! Many of the songs came to life when I was 17, and they were all recorded from when I was 19 to 20. I finished the album back in the spring of 2020, and everyone that heard it told me that I should not release it by myself and have patience, with finding the right label to work with. . I didn't believe them and thought that there was never a label that would take me in, but they ended up being right. I guess we all underestimate our work and find it hard to see the potential in it. It is good to have people that believe in you when you find it hard sometimes. Thank you 🌼 . Looking forward to finally sharing this album with you 🤍 . Since I was seventeen, I knew this would be the title of something important. If I could go back and tell my seventeen-year-old self, that it would be the title of her debut album, she would not believe me. She would not believe any of these amazing things that have happened in my life lately. I wish I could go back and tell her that everything will be okay and that she is good enough. I have always struggled with fitting perfectly into a category and that has been a big challenge for my career. I never thought that my crooked tone would be picked up in that way. .
