If ExU Divergence proves anything it’s that campaign 3 didn’t capture its audience not because there were no stakes but because the players of that game didn’t give themselves to the stakes of what was presented.
This isn’t a condemnation either, but rather a realization that Matt had a story he wanted to tell and his players just didn’t want to tell that story with him.
I can understand why. They had been playing serious characters with serious circumstances through the latter part of C1 and all of C2. Heavy stuff. They deserved a break. It’s just that that break took 3 years. Burn out is like that.
So maybe we give them some slack and realize that what they are doing is trying to weave gold out of thin air and sometimes it happens (ExU Divergence) and sometimes it doesn’t (Bells Hells).

so, is Garen the human dwarven embodiment of the Allhammer?
things that may point to it:
Matt not levelling up, which is sus.
often flashbacks to happier days with a big family that don’t happen that much for other players
gods were often reborn into a family of their followers, Allhammer is primarily a dwarven god
Garen absentmindedly creating an image of a hammer and Moonweaver reacting to it „like reuniting with a long lost brother” or whatever Brennan said
which means that Allhammer is not with the other primes at the moment, potentially lost to them
and from Nia’s story we know that the gods could become mortals at any time (not only during Downfall)
Brennan intentionally described the lands around Thorm’s Hill as being beautifully sculpted; according to lore Allhammer shaped the mountains during the Founding
„I want to create more” of course, a god of creativity would like to do things for the joy of it, especially after years of imprisonment
my sneaking suspicion (based on vibes and that 7hp) is that we will see the full godly transformation when Garen dies, similar to Liana
in this case that would be a great failsafe for a TPK for an extremely low lvl party: one guy stands up as a god and revives the rest because they were kind to him
I don’t remember if we’ve seen Garen be down for longer than a turn so far
on a meta level, playing a god would potentially help Matt enjoy his time as a player when he knows way too much about the world and the course of action
also, exactly the thing two epic GMs could pull off

Oh my god the return of the holy smiting flyswatter!! I can't decide what's funnier, that Sam had to bail, or that he knew he would and pre-instructed Marisha to keep going beforehand, or third that he STILL bailed despite that. Sam is playing masochist games with himself. for the bit

The little grins shared between Matt, Liam, and Brennan when Alex reads off the name "The Orb of Avalir" are so funny. Everyone in chat had already figured it out, of course, because everyone and their sibling has been on the lookout for Patia's orb since she/Marisha sent it to Maya Agrupnin during EXU Calamity. The fact that it, a very much mortal created item of mortal power and knowledge, is here amongst all these divinely created tools, including several vestiges, is interesting. One of these things is very much not like the others.
Also, what a delight when all of them give Alex a hard time after he says Jasmine's dice, on which she just rolled yet another natural 20, are illegal.
Liam: What are YOU talking about?! Jasmine: Yeah, Mr. Natural 20 Alex: What? I got one yesterday. Celia: You had three in one day, guy. Let's not.

have you considered keyleth/verin/vax yet? one functionally immortal archdruid, one dude who can keep dying and coming back, and a psychopomp. there's some solid potential here
Nonwal I have to say you make the most compelling reasons for this ship. I add to this with the base carnal reason that they would always be the hottest mfs in the vicinity

Boom shakalaka, etc.
