Hello approximately 10 people who will see this! /silly

I know I don’t really do much original posting here but I was thinking of maybe posting some song covers here? It’d probably be really random songs and pretty bad quality haha but could be fun! ^w^

Think of this post as a general seeing if anyone would be interested/would have any advice for me! cause! I’ve never done this before! and the only tech I use for it is voice memo haha.

Alright, colouring book test!

These should both be transparent so you can either print them out or save and open them in your art program of choice, put a layer underneath and colour away! :D

Since the poll was pretty close, I have one with the eye and nose sockets pre-coloured and one with them still blank so you can have your choice. It wasn't that hard to do both so if I make more I'll probably do one of each for variety. Let me know if you come across any problems with them and I'll try and find a way to fix it!

Also I printed it earlier to test and tried colouring it in so I'll put that under the cut lol

I'm glad to hear it brings somebody comfort, if there's two things I want my art to be in this fandom it's silly and soft so I'm happy it's working so far :D And yeah, I know a lot of people aren't into it cause it's super fanon and ooc but I'm just a huge sucker for criminal found family, so I'll keep on clocking in for my shift at the dadmare factory o7

Also I wanted to do a couple of dadmare doodles for you since this ask made me happy and uh, one of them kinda got away from me I don't know if you can tell

A little animation I made of Dream and Nightmare for fun, it's pretty short and simple but not bad for my second go at animation I think ^^

Quick explanation for the song and a gif version under the cut

So when I was first dipping my toes into utmv stuff like a year ago, I made a slideshow for my sister with a bunch of au Sanses, let her guess what kinda vibe she thought they had and then gave her a list of names/ aus to see if she could figure out who was who (she did surprisingly well and I'm proud of her).

Well, when I first showed her pictures of Dream her immediate reaction was "this guy looks like he's from zelda" and it's just always stuck with me. Somewhere along the way I started headcanoning Dream playing some kind of instrument when they were kids and when I heard the pan flute version of zelda's lullaby everything kind of fell into place.

So here they are, having a little moment of peace finally, brothers together again c:

Actually we should lean more onto Ink knowing stuff. The idea of him knowing who's the favorite within the utmv is so funny to me

Whether it is by him having out of verse knowledge (creators snitching on each other's fav blorbos/them asking Ink to "keep an eye out for them), him knowing about the omniverse (he asks other inks about their own multiverses and gets hit by the knowledge that there are those that remain and the very few that, curiously, change every time) he knows who are the favorites based on those who know the most woe/joy within their incarnations. He knows the Creators love Sans because they keep on messing with him. He equals love with change. To be unloved is to remain unchanged (and how cruel it is that he was born as a template without change nor base for him but he can't think about it for too long)

So when he looks at Dream... he knows this multiverse's creator somewhat like him. How could he not? Even before omniversal knowledge, Dream remains Alive. He remains relevant. He doesn't fade into obscurity. He's there. He cannot kill him nor harm him because THAT IS someones blorbo. So he doesn't. Not like he would do something like that just because, but the mere thought is extremely forbidden. He can't.

Keep the blorbos close and the scrimblos closer...

When the blorbos are secured, he doesn't get as protective with the AUs. How could he, if the creators willed for them to be? He couldn't just obstaculize them, even if the script is ruined. Its a thing. He has to let them have some fun before he gets fuzzy!!! Hes a secondary character to the blorbo. He needs to complement them. He needs to be a character the blorbo interacts with. Somewhat fun. People love when the blorbo interacts with other characters. Screentime! They all love screentime!

Blorbo doesnt like you? No problem. He could be the antagonist. The annoying pal the blorbo has. Its a thing. He doesn't mind (genuinely, of course!) he's absolutely thrilled to act the part. Its almost like he has a script of his own

Hed wonder if theres a multiverse where he's the blorbo. Its a fun thing to think about

I love the idea of Dust just having a gun. I personally see Dust as a guy who fights far distance. And being forced into close combat, while not bad at it, it restricts him a lot. Even worse when it comes to hand to hand combat since he probably isn't physically strong. He's fast but not necessarily the strongest.

So, having a gun would cover his weakness.

And also to add more on how i believe the gang fights.

Horror would rarely strike first. He's probably more of a defensive player. He blocks blows and keeps the stars from getting close to Dust. It's hard to fight when someone(dust) is shooting blasters and bones at you. And being unable to knock that problem out when you're being continuously shoved further away by a brute with immense strength. (Horror can pack a PUNCH. I PROMISE YOU.)

Also because I believe that Horror, being the defense, matches my HC of his urge to protect and shield people. And not wanting to necessarily kill unless provoked or necessary. Horror is even given permission by Nightmare to not kill anyone unless deemed necessary for survival.

Now, onto how Killer fights. He'd prefer to fight in close combat, not necessarily hand to hand, though. Killer would struggle to fight far distance because of the issue with his vision. With the tears flowing out of his eyes, he'd struggle to see things from far away. Which can allow his target to escape if he struggles to spot where they are from a far. He also isn't very strategic with his blows. He'd be the opposite of Dust, who fights with strategy and logic. Killer fights with luck and opportunity. He prefers his fight to be fun without thinking or processing the possibility of failing. He also likes to confuse his victim, pulling out random jabs at them or teasing. His idea of a fight is excitement, not if it's life or death. He doesn't take fighting seriously unless he gets badly injured or someone else in the gang is almost ripped apart. Killers' unpredictability would give him an advantage in fighting. Since you don't know if he's willing to risk an arm of his own. Or yours. Also one more thing.. Killer, if not already fighting someone, he'd take on whoever Horror is dealing with. Ya know, making sure the defense isn't forced into the offense.

I fully believe that Nightmare has crazy strength in both physical and magical compartments. His preferred fighting tactic is close combat, and he'd only get into hand to hand combat when pissed off or forced into it by a stronger force. Far distance is when he doesn't necessarily take his victim seriously, that he doesn't have to get down there to fight them. Or that he's injured badly or too weak for his opponent at the moment.

That's kinda it..

Dust is like a sniper

Horror is the defense and also keeps people from getting to Dust.

Killer is close combat

Nightmare is able to fight no matter what. That old man can throw hands, trust 🙏

I wrote this down in case I wanted to draw it later. But also if you guys have your own personal ideas.. Let me know, I'd actually love to read how you guys think they fight as a team. 😼
