This blog is nearly at 25,000 followers (holy cow) and I think it'd be fun to celebrate with a little community activity!

A tumblr-wide TCG redraw event!!!

Pick a card you want, any card you want, recreate it in whatever medium you see fit, and post it! Every entry will go into my queue as card posts (to start September 1st)!!

A few rules:

Absolutely NO AI IMAGES ALLOWED. Anything I suspect of being AI will not go into the queue.

Use the tag #poketcg25k so I can find everything in one place! Feel free to tag this blog as well

The last day for entry will be July 31st, 2025! After that I won't be checking the tag anymore!!

I would appreciate it if you somehow credited the original card you're referencing somewhere in your post! (EDIT: Posts with links still don't show up in tags! Yayyy!!!!)

and now all these other knights are coming around like "please let me serve you" and like obviously hes going to let them serve him thats the point of being a good and noble king but its also. very annoying. one of you become the good and noble king for once lets trade

I desperately need transphobes and all other pearl-clutching reactionaries to please learn the difference between a middle school GSA meeting and Pride.

And also, maybe recognize that minors will not explode or go blind or die and be immediately traumatized if they see a tit. If they see bear in a leather harness singing YMCA with a drag queen waving a butt plug in the air on top of a pride parade, children would literally be fine. Even if they know what a butt plug is, seeing one isn't actually harmful. Assless chaps can't hurt you.

I don't understand how different stair calculators give me different values even if I input the same numbers.

Also it's unclear what counts as a step.

for some reason, "you can just do an art project" unlocked a realization that "you can just make art" wasn't able to access.

like yeah i know i can set aside an afternoon and sketch a still life.

but also i can, like. select a random marine creature from a hat and then research them and then spend a bit of time in the evenings and weekends over the course of a few weeks making a diorama.

or i can make an abstract sculpture out of scrap cardboard and masking tape, and then paper mache over it, and then paint it.

or i can draw something with markers and color it in with crayons.

i dunno why it took me so long to realize that, in the same way that i can revisit the games and hobbies that i enjoyed as a kid, and i can orchestrate "presentation parties" so my friends and i can flex our slideshow animation skills, i can also Make Art, Grade School Style (and not just Grownup Art/School Style)

Our current D&D campaign's roleplay is 90% Nic and I roasting each other :)

It's fun. Our characters are endlessly annoy each other :3

Not sure if we're going to make it to Acererak at this rate tho.
