I've been feeling like my fundamentals need work so I am once again attempting to Draw a Box... I actually finished Lesson 1 this time though! Bring on the 250 box challenge! (after this homework gets reviewed...)

Trying out PleinAirpril this year! Well, sort of... only done one drawing actually outdoors so far, the rest are from MapCrunch's view of the day. It's been fun though! I haven't really done much landscape painting so I feel like I'm learning a lot!

For a long time I've been a huge fan of Kari Fry's art in her game guides, in particular the Stardew Valley guidebook... It's such a pleasing, soft style to look so I've always wanted to try recreating it! Decided to use this guy I caught for moogle tomestones last week, it's my first big fish and it was pretty fun having to go and prepare to catch it! Fruity Snacks' video on how to catch it was super helpful, all the info on bait and time comes from there and he has extra useful tips on how to prepare!

I kind of got the taste for big fishing, I might try to make more of these!

Inktober #20, Frost! I'm really happy with how this came out! I've not been happy with how I've drawn Ema for a while and making her a little rounder helps!

This'll probably be the last inktober daily I draw, have a very busy weekend coming up and I don't think I'll be able to get to it. I feel like I really learned a lot and levelled up from doing it though, I'm super happy!

Inktober #19, Plump! The wonderful @chrissabug put out a tutorial for drawing different body types so it seemed a good chance to practice, it's good to show a variety of shapes!

Inktober #17, Demon! As I said yesterday, stepping out of my comfort zone a little with some Disgaea inspired art, though this is actually an old old OC who was a 'song spirit', who could change into various types of supernatural creature by learning their heart songs. Don't judge me!

Inktober #16, Angel! Something very different from my usual style and the rest of the inktobers I've done, but with 'angel' and 'demon' I thought I'd step outside my comfort zone and try to mimic Disgaea's style somewhat! I've not really played it myself but I've seen a lot of it!

Inktober #15, Dagger! Spent the whole day at the renfaire, where I did indeed throw knives at targets (but didn't look nearly this cool while doing it!)

Inktober #14, Castle! Went pretty literal with this one, it feels weird to do a drawing without a character in it though! Kind of unfinished? Ul'dah is just so complicated though!

Inktober #13, Rise! This is my DnD character Kesh... She was very inspired by BotW Link, and while she's developed since then into more of a park ranger she shares his propensity for collecting unusual weapons, throwing herself into harm's way to protect others, and apparently climbing!

Inktober #12, Spicy! Adventures in aerial botany with Ema and Val... Botanical research is definitely more exciting when you have a tendency to try eating strange new plants. Luckily Ema has a dependable mentor to keep an eye on things...

Inktober #11, Wander! Recently started a game of Wanderhome, a very cute ttrpg, with some friends so I drew my character Runa! She's a salamander with an enormous backpack covered in shrines, which provide homes to some of the small and forgotten gods she's befriended in her travels!

Inktober #10, Fortune! Back to FFXIV with Maddy the sky pirate! The crew she's part of, the Howling Shadows, may not ever make a fortune but doesn't mean they'll stop trying!

This makes 10 inktober days I've drawn for, a new record! My previous best was 9!
