this season was amazing. they’ve covered so many topics that needed to be covered. The acting was flawless, especially with Eric, Olivia, Lyle and Amanda. Most of the episodes had me in tears, especially the last one. truly amazing.

honestly this season really made me love and respect Tristan like can u imagine finding out your boyfriend cheated on u while u were in a fucking coma in front of an entire room of people (who were already talking and whispering abt u behind your back anyway) and not only have the emotional maturity to still sit thru the entire play but also forgive your boyfriend for his indiscretion and help him to move on for the greater good??

has become extremely gentle and tries to never raise his voice
cane right to his mother to talk it out after he almost relapsed

honestly i just want grace and zoe to be friends again they were so good for each other in that aspect and i loved the dynamic between them and it makes me sad that we barely got to see them interact at all after the video…like friends get into fights and they work through the rough patches and i would have loved to see that

I find it off putting that they're making Hunter so horrible. Degrassi always insures that even the characters that make the worst mistakes are redeemable (Spinner, Rick). Hunter seems to have crossed the line and is becoming truly evil. I was wondering if you thought he could redeem himself or do you think he's just going to be an antagonist.
Sorry, I think i should correct myself. Rick wasn’t redeemed but he wasn’t always one hundred percent evil. He had depth and we felt sympathy. Not condoning his actions in any way
I have to disagree. The writers have done a good job showing that while Hunter is horrible and violent and should NOT be trusted, they also show that he is layered. He is someone that is very entitled, but he also feels like the world has cruelly dealt him an unfair hand. (It hasn’t, not really.) Throughout his three seasons on Degrassi, he went from moody loner to a guy who had friends and saw the one thing he could really connect to being taken away from him without warning. And he snapped. And his entitlement complex took the form of him hurting the people he saw “had everything”.
I’m very obviously am not condoning what he did. And I don’t want Hunter to be redeemed because what he did was not a mistake. It was calculated and it was cruel and he isn’t sorry. I truly hate Hunter, but not as a character. He’s a character that is fascinating to watch and very well developed.

It’s nice to see that Miles is trying. I like that shit. I also like that when the counselor said “is there someone else?” He instantly knew who understood him. Deny it all you want, but before Triles was a thing, they were best friends.

I am in chills after watching the new season of Degrassi. The show has improved so much from the past seasons and the acting was absolutely amazing.
