Leal let out a frustrated noise as the Scolipede kept pulling. He liked poison types, but this was starting to get annoying, and he didn't have a free hand to stop the two Pokémon on him from attacking, not unless he wanted to fall. Clearly, he wasn't going to get in the place, but he wasn't going to fall either.

"Come on, let go of me before this gets bad," he warned the bug with annoyance in his tone.

Komo and Kage were moving, the small lizard emitting flames from his mouth as he crawled down the leg towards the bug, and Kage taking flight with a shriek of warning,

Pendra continued to tug on Leal's leg, even with his attempts to shoo her off. The Scolipede was determined to pull them from the window! She would get them unstuck, no matter what!!

Don't worry, stuck people! Pendra started turning her head downward. She would pull you from the mean window! Once unstuck, she would catch you and you would be free!! Yes!! People did not use windows, so they had to be stuck!

The sound of hissing and squawking was the only thing that gave the large bug a moment of pause. Looking up, she noticed the dark feathered avian Pokemon giving her a very mean 'stink eye'.

Oh no!!! Pendra's antennae wriggled in warning and her lids dropped low over her golden eyes. Go away, mean bird-- the Scolipede dooted! Leave the people alone--- trying to take advantage while stuck!! Very not nice!! But Pendra knew her priorities; she needed to save this stuck people first!! Before the mean bird pecked them!!

While all this was going on, far down the main street, Daedra and Lulu were casually making their way to the apartment building, each with a full bag of groceries in their arms. The two pleasantly chatted (well Daedra chatted and Lulu responded accordingly), having let Pendra run off ahead. They were still some paces away, when Lulu suddenly stopped in her tracks, her eyes perking up before flicking about as her attention was caught.

Leal's face fell into a sympathetic expression as he patted the other on his back. "Do you want one of my share cups? I can have Komo heat it up any everything for ya. I got a bunch of flavours too!" he offered as the said lizard made a noise of glee.

Leal made a squawk that sounded rather undignified at the leg pulling.

"Hello there, pretty girl, can you not do that? I'm visiting someone and I need to hop in and see if they are around?" he offered her with a smile as Komo's head peeked from the Jacket and hissed at the bug, not happy about the idea of his trainer landing on him again. Leal shook his leg a bit, trying to get the Pokémon to let go of it. and gripping the windowsill tighter. He really didn't want to get bandaged up again and probably lectured about his lack of use of front doors...

Kage, on the other hand, let out a shrill warning, loud enough for others to hear the warning at the bug, wings flapping as she perched next to her human on the sill.

The bug had two options in her book: let go of her human or fight her.

@eclectical-ocs // Dinner Time: Leal was excited. The old man had made a friend, and now that said friend offered to cook for him! And she liked Poison types too!!! It was a great day! Her place wasn't too hard to find, and her windows were pretty easy to open as he started to climb in through one. "OI, anyone home?" he called out.

The window was not terribly high, and neither was the simple apartment complex. As Leal made his way in, via a casual breaking-and-entering, he'd find there was some slack on his opposite leg.

A tug, in fact. Something was pinching the material of his pants and starting to pull back against him. Almost insistently.

Down below the window was a large pink mass, rearing up to balance her front legs on the side of the building. While the Scolipede couldn't reach the window persay, she could easily reach where the exposed parts of Leal hung from the window sill.

Oh!! Something had crashed into the window again, Pendra thought in her wiggly antennae head. She'd just trotted around the block, having been given permission to go out and burn some energy for a short while, when she saw something by their window!

Lots of things got stuck in windows, she knew. Bird Pokemon, bug Pokemon, small bitey ratty Pokemon--- this was the first time Pendra saw a people get in one! Don't worry, she'd help! Yes!! Pendra will get you from the window-- so you could... people away!

"I'm sure, I got the stuff to make Pancakes mostly on me, just need to make some berry sauce to go on top for you two. They are pretty simple to make. If you like the next time I make them, I can teach you so you can get unbanned from cooking," she offered as her Stuffel peeked over her shoulder to smile at the younger Skull. "I'm fine as long as you are having fun... and I get to set off fireworks occassionally"

"Heh alright, thats a good idea"

She knew that Ox could happily run out and ram into cars and stuff and no one would get hurt...as long as none of the other skull b others and sisters were out at the moment.

"Thanks Ivy! But are you sure you don't need help making the snack.... I mean. Ninus bme being banned from anything that produces heat except for the microwave"

Leal just laughed at that. "I worked with Poison types all the time, and they take bites out of my food, so I got used to them, maybe it's similar for you? You've just been exposed by accident. But better safe than sorry, The Old Man will chew me out if I leave you to get sick." He replied in a carefree tone, not worried about the things she was saying.

"It was fun, though, so don't worry about it, but maybe don't tell The Old Man so we don't get lectured about safety, last thing we need is one of his grumpy Pokemon following us around and dragging us away from fun things, like rock cliffs or cool Pokemon." His hand came down on her head and ruffled her hair in a familiar fashion.

"It was an excellent adventure minus annoying the locals, but we learned for next time~"

"Oh probably not. Im not sure I never tried to... ya know..take any of the defensive poison that Nuki gave me to use"

Though it did seem like, weirdly enough, she was handling it pretty well. Even the stings she was enduring the pain really well. She happily took the icepack and placed it on one of the bumps and took the meds he gave her.

"Thanks Leal, yeah probably. I saw a lot of weedles"

"It was my family insistance mostly, I think they hoped once I got my foot in the door of business, I'd see how wonder it was and I'll go work for my uncle and what not, didn't work out how they planned, or how I planned either, but can't really complain I got my buddies out of it."

At her comment, he glanced over to the Pokémon and let out a soft laugh.

"She would be a menace in the office and would have probably stuck around if she were running loose there."

Oh good, so he didn't have to move after all, works out for him. "There are some logs, I think, by the Birch over there, but no promises."

Ram was buzzing and trilling with excitement as he chased the bug around, trying to be careful not to zap her in his excitement. It's been a while since he had a new friend, and this one loved tag too! It was fun! New friend was fast, unlike his trainer or Selhat, who just stared when he tried to play with him. He wanted to go bother Markus and get the others to play too! "Wait! More friends!" he buzzed to Pendra before darting over to Markus and smacking some balls to release the Porygon Trio, and led them over to Pendra. He was ignoring the yells from Markus over Ram's actions. Now they had a group! The four Pokémon zoomed around Pendra, making happy noises as a debate over who is it was started.

"Wow, that's quite a change," Daedra offered, though not in a condescending manner. The redhead had to suppose it was a similar jump for when children stopped attending basic school to do their Pokemon journey. (If they took them of course).

She hadn't minded the routines of school, personally. However, she was more into reading and academics than most, considering it seemed passed a certain grade, it was all any of the students thought or talked of. Schooling was fine, but it never compared to getting to see the world and how it really worked with one's own eyes...

"I never had a job that structured before," she explained, carefully taking items he handed off from his pack to place down for use. "I can imagine it's not for everyone. Some people do well with routines, others not so much~ I don't think I'd mind one, personally... but I'd feel bad about letting my Pokemon miss out on traveling and battles."

Not that office work kept people from owning Pokemon but.... well, Daedra found it hard to imagine for herself as she turned her gaze towards Pendra. The large pink Scolipede having the time of her life: covered in mud and running after her new friend in a tag game. It would be hard to offer her that from an office cubical.

With the initial setup done, Markus presented her with a choice of jobs. Daedra was also indifferent and familiar with both camping tasks, but tended to be a bit practical.

"Maybe it would be better for me to get the firewood," she chirped out, after a moment of thought. "I don't mind fishing, but I also know I'm a bit prone to not paying attention the whole time," Daedra laughed a bit. "I'd hate to cost us dinner that way; sticks are much easier to snag!"

They didn't wriggle once you grabbed them~

Meanwhile, while the humans (and Selhat) took to the chores, Pendra frolicked and trotted with her new electric friend. Anyone or Pokemon that wanted to give her a fun chase was all right in her book! The Scolipede flipped her head up and down as she galloped near the river's edge, dooting in response to Ram's happy buzzing.

Yes!! Chase Pendra!! Pendra is very fast, so you'll have to try very hard!! Yet, despite how the large Pokemon would take off at full speed instinctually at the initial tag, she always quickly pulled back to let Ram have a go at her. Afterall, tag was not fun if it was only one way!

Yes!! Tag was an excellent game to play! Pendra let out merry little doot calls, still covered in mud and without a care for the moment. She bounced and bounded on her legs, kicking them up when she hopped into the air. Yes--fun fun fun!!!

Pendra was certainly not an 'office work place' appropriate Pokemon...

He watches her for a moment, and his expression changes to something more friendly and polite.

"Black is fine, thank you," he replied before glancing at his company with a slight nod before heading over to a table and sitting down in the chair.

"Is it alright if he just comes over and points out a few things for us? I'm afraid my leg is giving me a bit of trouble today. He insisted we come in and sit down for a bit."

"Alola, welcome in-!" She calls as she hears the bell on the door ring. Though when Isabel steps into view, the face of the man seems familiar for a moment. The white hair and cold eyes... Although the eyes she was thinking of were much warmer and kind...

"Yes, Sweet Dreams Cafe has some of the best coffee and pastries on the island. How would you like your coffee, sir?"

Staying focused on her job seemed to smooth over her moment of surprise, hoping the man didn't catch on. "Would your Lucario also be interested in a poke pastry too?"

"Clearly an example of that, if you cannot do it, then teach it. I've bailed that man out of trouble more times than I care to count." he retorted, rolling his eyes behind his glasses.

He glanced down at her at the nudge, brow raising slightly at her comment.

"I know what works for me, that is the simple part, trying to find out what works for me and doesn't result in your father hunting me down with a stick is a different story."

"He and Papa did teach me how to be able to get out of trouble," she counters with a smirk of her own.

Although very aware of Wesker's long standing statement to assist her should she ever ask, it is an offer she does not want to abuse. Especially if it's something she can handle on her own, so not to waste his time.

"I do appreciate you not maiming Blue Dad," she gently nudges the man with her shoulder. "But I'm proud that you're trying and finding what works for you."

Ivy made a slight surprised sound before returning the hug, offering the other a warm smile as she held her close.

She didn't fully understand what was bothering her friend, but she would do anything to help the other. She was a kind soul and didn't need to face things alone. Ivy would be there for her.

"Anytime, it's what friends are for, right? If it's not, I'll do my best to help out; if it is, well, it doesn't hurt to be prepared rather than unprepared. "

Soucie looked back at the spot where she spotted that Thing.

Ghosts are complicated to a degree: who they were as people can affect how they linger as a ghost.

Sometimes a spirit lingers in order to watch over loved ones; the few ghosts she's seen around Alola have been this loving kind. But other emotions, such as fear and pain can either cause the spirit to become a Pokemon or something more feral, a danger to themselves and others.

But then there are the spirits who want to cause pain to the living. A grudge is common, yet sometimes it's not so intimately personal. That is a thin line at the best of times.

Sometimes they inflict pain just for the sake of it.

And that Thing had its claws dug into Isa, trying to drag her into an early grave. Soucie did all she could, she never has to banish a spirit like that before...

Did she actually help or make things worse?

But she pushes the worries and doubts down, forcing a smile to Ivy.

"Thanks Ivy," she pulls the other into a hug. "I'm hoping it's just a case of mistaken identity. Sometimes ghosts look too similar to the living."

Not a complete lie. Soucie has had conversations with the dead, not realizing that they were dead until she got looks from Clo and others.

Markus let out a dry chuckle at her jokes. "Thankfully, most of mine tend to float above the ground, so it spares me the trouble of mud," he replied with a slight grin.

"Nah, I own a few porygons, and they get cranky without PC access or internet, and I've banned them from using my phone after they broke the last one."

" I'm not much of a battler, I'd rather avoid it if I can. Selhat knows how to fight, but I don't particularly like making him battle. I mean a regular job, I used to work in an office and all that jazz, hated it and hated everything I did and everyone I worked with, So I said fuck that and left. Been travelling ever since, I take the odd freelance job here and there for some extra funds."

He finished setting up the line and was heading to the river away from the troublesome duo, wondering if he should unleash the Porygon trio to join the game. Probably a bad idea; it was always a headache to round them all up outside. Ram at least had figured out to come back to Markus before he got too tired to move...

Ram made a laughing noise as he poked Pendra's snoot with his arm before zipping off, the word tag being laughed from the little Pokémon repeatedly.

"Do you wanna fish or look for some wood to cook the meal on? I should have a small pile nearby under a tree," he asked with a lazy shrug, he was indifferent about what task to do. Selhat was pacing around nearby watching the duo play. "You can go join them if you want, Selhat," he offered the Pokémon who shot him a strange look before sitting down near Marku's pack, clearly intent on guarding it.

"Pendra is just as happy being dirty as she is being clean," Daedra chuckled, watching as said Pokemon took to speeding up her pace to trot around the group. Not quite going to ahead, but more moving about to her own amusement within the immediate area.

"I suppose since being dirty just means she'll get water to play in, or someone else to clean her," the redhead added as a good-natured jab. She never minded caring for her Pokemon, even if one of them was more akin to a playful child.

Pendra was a bit too preoccupied checking into some of the surrounding trees to realize her trainer was commenting on her. The Scolipede hardly noticed the Rotom coming and going, but Daedra had.

"Oh! Do you have other electric type Pokemon, from how it sounds? Or perhaps a good mix all around?" Not that Daedra intended to challenge Markus to their own battle, but she could never help but question what other people liked to have as partners. It was like a fun game to try and guess things about them, before getting replies~

"Not working?" Daedra blinked as they made their way into the clearing. "Do you mean as a 'regular' job or does that include Pokemon battles as well? I never thought of them as 'work' myself, even if I'm a very casual type of trainer compared to some!"

Atleast if she lost she was willing to pay the fee....

Now with the trees giving way and the river coming into view, Pendra gave a happy doot as she took a personal lap around the area. Yes!! Wide open space for Pendra to run, until a buzzing and light spark in the air drew her attention. Slowing to a halt, it was then the large bug took notice of Ram, who had appeared once again, with the intent to play.

Pendra didn't shy away and turned her snoot towards the light-bulby ghost. Oh!! You are a glowy-glow-- are you a glow bug Pokemon? They glow just like you-- yes!! You are very jumpy!!

Daedra spied Markus starting to take out his items and approached to offer him a hand. Before that, she paused to give a shout to the Scolipede who was making acquaintance with ehr new Rotom friend.

"Better get as dirty as you like ahead of time, Pendra! I won't be giving you a second bath!!"

A distant little doot was returned in reply. Whee! She could get dirtier!
