cia should've just done what the rest of us do and written some x reader fanfic. then the war of eras wouldn't have happened
oc x canon would've saved her. dont make her mistake write your oc x canon and your x reader

OH THATS GOOD!!!! i like that a loooot sunny, i totally forgot about fsa ganon/dorf. it makes total sense for it to come after that. i shall be pondering this tyty
thinking about hw ganondorf. it seems to be a villains day for me today, but this one is a lot less general analysis and more just yelling questions into the void. it gets a bit critical at the end so a read more for your ignoring pleasure
i wonder what the FUCK happened to him that had his soul split into four and sealed in four separate eras. there's many questions there: who sealed him, why did they need time travel to do that, what did he do, why did he do it, how does the war on hyrule in the present era further those goals beyond just having power
i find it so significant that he proudly boasts being a gerudo warrior without a single glimpse of any gerudo in the current era (and if the map of the desert is anything to go by, they've been gone a while. theres ruins, but only that). how long ago was he sealed away?? were the gerudo gone in his age, and his quest is one of revenge? did ganondorf's sealing leave the gerudo vulnerable and forced to leave, or into extinction?
i have various thoughts, going from potential extrapolation and the easiest/most likely path possible to more out there and interesting ideas, but its frustrating how we're given soooo little. because this is a new ganondorf, unless hw is either 1) retconning his death in tp or ww, leaning towards tp given the state of hyrule as a militarised monarchy and the lack of rito (and what the wiki seems to think is bits of arbiters grounds in the desert) or 2) implying at some point the ganon of the downfall timeline gained humanoid form again. neither of which seem likely for them to do in a story so heavily about the canon of others
just. who is this guy? the supposed second half main villain and key piece in all of this, and we get. nothing. not even a motivation. its supposed to just be inferred and accepted that he's the bad guy bec ganondorf = bad, and like sure yeah a loz fan knows that. but i want more!!!! just because i know who the general character of ganondorf is doesnt mean you get to skimp out on writing a good villain
again. i DO have my ideas. in various different directions wrt how at fault the monarchy is in the situation, explanations for the absence of the gerudo, and also giving koei tecmo all the grace or none of the grace depending on the idea, but. i wish there was at least a little bit of it that wasnt all my own leg work lol. they can clearly write original and compelling villains
ganondorf can be so good guys. so so good. i am trying to collect the scraps we are given to figure out his deal. i just need to keep pondering and keep digging

thats a great place to put it! i usually put it in that timeline too. i also dont like the idea of the gerudo being completely genocided, in tp's prologue or later on, as much as i can see it being... unfortunately not impossible. usually when i need a general explanation for where they are without getting into ganondorfs full backstory ideas, i have them living in the mountains in series of caves and tunnels and interconnected areas that are more secluded and protected for isolation from the rest of the continent (ganondorfs armour has a lot of fur, so i think at least some gerudo are used to overall colder climates enough for him to be wearing that in the daytime)
there's for sure a lot you can do with the crumbs we're given. but damn if they arent crumbs gjdjshs

tysm for this, like i said i had forgotten the details of the level specifically. i wonder who that is??? surely it would be significant enough to mention if it was the gerudo since. thats ganondorfs people. but if it isnt the gerudo, then who moved in after they 'left'? is it hylians? just some other humans that are acclimated to the desert? thats really interesting. i assumed it was just monsters that naturally had the area as their territory, but i guess its still contested/a push and pull of humanoid and monster population
this is one of those for one question answered i have five more lmao. i appreciate the info nonetheless 🫶

iris by goo goo dolls really is insane though. I'd give up forever to touch you? you're the closest to heaven I'll ever be? all I can breathe is your life? and I don't want the world to see me cause I don't think they'd understand? when everything's meant to be broken I just want you to know who I am? does anyone hear me.

pacific rim fucks severely for a lot of reasons but my favorite is that it opens with "the lizard aliens are unionizing so we built robots running on the power of love to fight them you got all that right" and before you have time to really process that concept bam gunshot body on the floor and the movie goes "now consider the vast power of grief in this setup" it never really stops considering
#pacific rim really is just one of the best movies ever#im so glad i randomly decided to watch it (i dont watch movies often) bec i was in the mood for giant robots#came for the giant robots stayed for the love in grief and grief in love
