I love learning new art techniques. I started using a rly fat brush to block in silhouettes I want in my characters and it makes everything look wayyy more defined. Especially with hair, where I tend to go a little too ham on little details and lose all some of the more interesting shapes hair can look like :3

Cringetober Day 2: Self Insert

So this was a little cheaty because its a core part of the game, but I drew my self insert BG3 character, Amara Celestine :3 they're a high elf cleric and I thought this was so fun !! I wanted to doodle a little comic of them having their hair braided by shadowheart because they're selunite/shar rivals to lovers,, maybe a different day hehe

there is something truly joyous about starting over. it’s been a while since I’ve used tumblr in earnest (esp after some issues with my account/email being hacked) and it’s sort of nice to be back and not have any expectations or audience that expects a certain kind of post. obvs it’s nice to get positive feedback, it really kept me motivated, but I truly hope that a clean slate will make me feel like I can post what I’d like without feeling external expectations (like from fandoms I used to be apart of). also I’m a phd candidate now ! so free time is kind of a fleeting thought anyway hehe.
