Hades does like to think himself more powerful than his brother, as Poseidon refused to outright fight him. Though, Hades is more tactical in his approach.

Hades' cosmos is a parasite to the chosen hosts. It's an infestation, a gradual and horrific submission. It eats away at the edges of their consciousness until it spreads and temporarily reflects his true body in Elysium. His hosts are his proxy to be on earth, not his reincarnation.

“Hades, Beloved” Rushing into his throne room she lets out a giggle of delight, arms overflowing with roses of every color making it look as though she’d plucked a rainbow from the sky to bring to his feet in offering. “Upon the surface it is the human holiday of Valentine’s, a time meant to be shared with your dearest ones. I’ve come to attend you on this day!” Kneeling at the foot of his throne she excitedly lifts the delicate blooms for him to inspect each one woven from her power.

Hades understands none of it. Valentine's is meaningless to him, but Teacup seems to consider it a big deal. The Underworld Emperor leans forward and takes a couple of the offered flowers from her. Considering what she told him, the god tilts his head in confusion slightly. ❝ You spend time with me whenever you can. You can spend it with me for months. You do not need a day. There is forever for us. ❞

It's comical to see her small frame covered up with the large and colorful bouquet. Yet still, Hades allows the smallest sincere smile grace his lips. An offering so genuine to him; an offering made so willingly and earnestly—she indeed does surprise him.

❝ Thank you, Teacup. The roses bring life to this dark place, like yourself. ❞

His dear Teacup, his best friend and companion whom he's given so much power to. Since she wears his ring on her finger, she carries a portion of his authority with her. Hades sighs, a couple of fingers toying with open area that ring used to be. While what he felt toward Teacup isn't love, it is gentle.

He ponders over their first meeting, at how rocky and distrustful he was to her. He believed her to be apart of the Saints then, but with her neutrality and how much she has respected him—he couldn't remain cold to her. She is an entity of some sort; a deity in her own right perhaps.

She is a pillar of his just as he is to her. He feels as if it's the Fates that brought them together that one moment. She is the colors of spring and he the monochrome of winter.

❝ She is powerful. Strong. Stronger now, a piece of me is with her. ❞

He takes the glass and spills the wine on the earth beside him. He stabs his dark blade firmly into the ground between them.

Are the gods in other mythologies weaker than you? Are Greek gods the strongest?

❝ Gods are gods, mortal. Which pantheon is stronger or isn't stronger doesn't deserve that much of my attention. I do not fixate on that inane details when I have Pegasus to kill off. ❞

Though, being a death god makes him fairly powerful in his own right: having an organization over what souls go where with Judges that does his bidding and Death and Sleep as his servants...Hades has a lot of influence.

Why do you hate Zeus?

There's definitely some way that Hades can say how much he hates Zeus, but his words for it is lodged at his throat. No word can actually express the why he hates Zeus—only that Hades hates and respects him, intensely.
