All profits for charity! This program cleans tens of thousands of plastic bags from the roadsides every month, then turn the bags into cool products like SOCKer Balls, Ladies handbags, baskets, Eco Skill balls, Eco Orbiters, Goal nets, volley ball nets and other skill equipment. Each ball comes with instruction booklet on drills and skills. All profits from sales go to: 1. scholarships for kids ages 3 to 18 whose parents cant afford their school fees (school is not free in Ghana and most Africa countries) 2. Providing Arts and Athletic programs for the kids in economically challenged areas 3. Providing money for building projects that include Composting Toilets, Grey water showers with gardens, Mini library/ study halls, volunteer centers and playing fields/ community centers The SOCKer Ball is a cool ball that hones your ball control skills like nothing else. Similar balls or even fruit like grapefruit have been used by kids all over the world for years. The smaller size teaches greater touch, feel and coordination. The softness makes it playable practically anywhere. This is how many great player including Pele acheived their amazing ball control. The SOCKer Ball is the perfect combination of football, hackey sack and nerf ball. Appropriate for anyone adult or child working on their ball control/ foot juggling skills. Many people buy them for there dogs too Each SOCKer Ball and Eco Ball is handcrafted with care by individual artists. This is a US based organization. Our program serve Ghana, Uganda, Cambodia and USA. We are are soon expanding to other parts of Africa, Asia and the Americas. Most of the under developed world has very little sanitation and recycling service, if any. This causes many problems seen acutely in Ghana: 1. Clogs drains, waterways and sewers; causes millions of dollars in damage and many many people die. 2. kills dogs, goats, cows and other livestock and pets. 3. Kills birds, baby dolphins and sea turtles... bags are thicker that seaweed in many coastal waters. 4. Piles of plastic bags and other trash are burned every evening all over Africa and many parts of the world. The fumes are deadly TOXIC and carcinogenic. They include nasty chemicals such a Dioxin, PCBs, Florine, Choline gas and Furans. prolonged breathing of the fumes cause Heart problems, lung disease, hormone imbalance and brain malfunction etc. 5. Discarded bags look terrible and trap air underneath causing bad smelling anaerobic bacteria to proliferate. 6 Bag pollution costs communities untold millions in potential Tourism.
