"This situation limits the drivers’ ability to attack, defend position, and fully exploit the traction and stability that — in theory — the chassis should be able to offer. Ferrari has planned a package of technical updates that is expected to make its debut as early as the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend. These new developments should reduce the car’s reliance on lift and coast and allow for greater strategic freedom during races, particularly in terms of skid-block wear." - The Race

finally some news on the upgrades!!!! autoracer says they will bring a new floor to austria which will be the first real attempt at any corrective upgrades
they stress we can't expect any sudden miracles but in such a short track like austria, any small gain will be crucial (especially in qualifying) and it's a step at trying to widen the very narrow operating window of the car
they say bringing this new floor was impossible before june and they worked really really hard to speed up the recovery process to even bring such thing in austria because the original timeline has always been silverstone (with the suspension that's coming later) and the reason it comes so late is because they truly took the time to understand where they went wrong with the original specification and this is their attempt to correct it with realistic and "conservative" interventions which is a necessary choice as this car was born out of high ambition and past developmental errors
#first upgrades under serra 👀#glad they didn't rush it this time unlike last season#scuderia ferrari 2025#scuderia ferrari 2025: development

ERASE the idea that America saved lives by dropping two atomic bombs on Japan from your minds. ERASE the idea that it was anything more than a political move to scare Russia and also to satiate US curiosity as to the true ability of nuclear weapons. Nagasaki and Hiroshima were not military bases. They were heavily populated civilian cities chosen precisely bc the U.S. wanted to see how many people an atomic bomb could kill in one go. Japan was on the verge of surrendering, the U.S. literally wanted to test out their nuclear weapons on people that they deemed disposable. That is it. If those bombs were dropped by any nation other than the US veryone involved would have been tried as war criminals.

I need everyone to know that the ship Götheborg, the world's largest ocean-going wooden sailing ship, answered a distress call the other day.
Imagine waiting for the coast guard or whatever to show up and instead a replica of 18th century merchant ship pulls up and tows you to the coast.

i suppose they never warn you that liking sports is actually a forever thing because usually when you hyperfixate on something after you stop consuming the media (in my personal experiences) you eventually drift away from the source material, and not that you can never pick it up again or that it doesn't stay with you somewhere in the background of your life. the thing is, the beauty of sports is that there's a cycle in which you never ever stop recieving the source material, and if you leave it for .5 seconds, something else happens, regardless if it's good or bad.
