The way things were going for him, Eddie thought he might be having more students the following semester. People were flocking towards him because the New Yorkers simply listened to what they wanted, therefore, their results were quicker to happen. Good. He liked hearing that.

No pills, no extreme sacrifice, no nothing. Just regular diet and discipline.

He was just returning from the Shopping Strip (a poor attempt to buy himself new clothes, but failing miserably) when he saw someone struggling on the street, so, Eddie being Eddie, stopped to help. "Here... let me..." Edmundo smiled as he crouched down and started stacking her books. "No need for coffee or dinner, though." He stated. "Should I leave it here in the container or do you want me to load them in the elevator for you?" / @kairaxjoshi

Kaira had brought about three suitcases filled with clothes from New York City and that still wasn't enough to make her new place feel like home. She'd called and requested her parents to strip her old bedroom clean and send her absolutely everything and while that was probably not a smart idea--here she was standing on the sidewalk outside the building staring at a storage container filled with boxes that she had no idea how to get into her place. With a wince she picked up the closest box which was labelled as books and began moving towards the door of the building when she bumped into someone--all her books in the box flying out. "Oh no! My books!" Quickly she bent down, trying to gather everything she could before sighing as she looked up at some of the passerby's. "A little help would be appreciated by anyone...I'll even treat you to coffee, or a drink, or dinner--whatever you like."

New Years usually stuck him differently. At first, when he was still around his family, or when he was home for the holidays with his loved one, Eddie felt like life was good. Not that—not that he didn't think life was good now, but so many scars and traumas later, he felt like there were things missing.

Actually, in cold nights like these, Eddie missed her warmth. Her laughter ringing in his ears, her body pressed to his... It had been five years since they'd parted ways, and yet, his mind still traveled to wherever she would be.

Maybe it was time to move on.

Dropping down to Ryan's side, Eddie let out a sigh as he rested his arms on his bent knees and watched as people mingled, laughed and hugged. "I'd offer a kiss, but I'm scared you might fall in love with me. I'm not ready to ruin our friendship yet." He teased, bumping shoulders with his best friend. "C'mon, grandpa. It's one night. Besides, how do you expect to find a midnight kiss by sitting here moping?" / @ryanparrish

He'd done his best to mingle, to blend in with the Georgian townsfolk he's come to know so well having grown up in this town. But, as the night dwindles down, and friends and couples scatter to get a good seat of the bell tower, Ryan wrestles with the deep seated urge to slip onto his bike and head home for the evening. Even across the lake, he could hear the clock bells ring as they struck midnight. So technically, he didn't have to be there.

At least in his trailer, he could nurse something a little stronger than whatever watered down cocktails, the vendors were still serving.

As he felt another body flank his left side, Ryan kept his focus trained ahead and spoke almost absentmindedly to the stranger. "I'm trying to decide what's worse. The fact that, I've got no one to share a New Year's Eve kiss with or it's a struggle for me to stay up until midnight."
