it's not something she expected. these louts to figure out it was her , oh so easily, of course, she had been told it would be easy - - that someone would help her rise past this, but his opinions had changed, once he saw past what she was saying.

yunneth sinclair is a monster..

words spill from her lips to an uninterested crowd; none of them turning to look as she calls out those words, again && again--waiting for someone to turn, someone to listen to her, to help put an end to this tragedy, to help her finish this all--end this cycle of pain && suffering that she had tried to prevent for so long, but had failed.  help the people she had loved, help her make her way back to them, because she’s the only one who could fix this.

she’s the only one who can see.

yunneth sinclair is the demon king.

no one looks, no one bats an eye. she is alone and nothing will fix this. of course, what she doesn't notice, what she doesn't see, is a figure approaching her from the back.

stomp stomp stomp--STOMP STOMP. 

It quickens && right when she turns around, right when she faces the would be assailant, it's not yunneth, but the demon king himself  wearing her friend’s body, wielding a scythe as something grim reaper-esque && he holds her up by her hair, knotting a clawed hand through it - - appendages digging into her scalp.

'In terror the Boy ran toward the village shouting "Wolf! Wolf!" But though the Villagers heard the cry, they did not run to help him as they had before. "He cannot fool us again," they said.'  is what the beast speaks, grin sickening as he drops the scythe to claw into her neck, drawing blood as he does so.

She falls, broken, like a porcelain doll.

Liars are not believed even when they speak the truth.

hey guys, welcome to chapter 6! thanks for sticking around thus far, and it’s time to kick things up a notch! we’ve upped the difficulty of this one, but it’s nothing you all can’t handle.

✘ Here are the GOOGLE DOCUMENTS (KATHY) (SAMEKICHI & SAL) for the case. Do NOT attempt to sabotage these documents. Only add evidence and information that is appropriate. ✘ If your character makes a discovery (either through asks or discussion in the discord,) make sure it’s told in an IC post for easy-access purposes. ✘ Aforementioned in mind, be specific on whether it’s FACT or THEORY. A FACT is if you found a possible murder weapon in a drawer while investigating through asks. A THEORYis examining the body and saying that they “died of blunt trauma to the head” just by judging the visible wounds &. making assumptions off of what you see. You can make IC posts of what your muse THINKS is going on at any time, but if they 100% DISCOVERED something, it needs to be public information in it’s own IC post of them discovering it. ✘ You can ask the NPCs about the case, but they can choose whether or whether not they want to answer. They will NEVER lie, but may speak in half truths or confusing riddles. The only exemption to this is Deceiving Eyes – who, completely &. utterly – is a liar to his core. I wouldn’t waste my time with him if I was you. ✘ Remember, you investigate through the ask box! It’s easier to keep track of things this way. If you fear your ask was eaten, you’re free to resend – just don’t spam. ✘ You may check and re-check an area until the answers are ended with “there’s nothing else of interest in this immediate area” – meaning, you’d found all the evidence there. ✘ You have exactly one week to find all the evidence you can before the trial begins.

and it looks like there’s another announcement waiting to come forth; only a hour after the broadcast about the shark brothers having been made into soup, the television flickers onto life again and it’s thieving, looking rather smug on the screen.  “geez, you guys really are pathetic--you fear for your lives and then you go after people, i suppose it’s not that surprising, you all are a selfish lot. couldn’t kill for your loved ones, yet when you’re threatened, that’s when the tables turn.”

“you are all truly disgusting, but that’s to be expected, i guess-- I suggest you head over to KATHERINE BAKER’S house, after you’ll all done wallowing in self pity.”

when you arrive at the house, you’re not surprised to see such a grotesque scene preserved, the home of a family, the home of someone’s mother, it’s something welcoming or at least, it was supposed to be. with katherine baker, her lifeless body is something causes a pit to form in your stomach-- she almost looks as if she would be sleeping, considering the small child huddled up next to her, blood leaking from his forehead.

but there’s something off about this scene; it takes a moment to be fully able to digest it.

there are marks around her throat, the textbook signs of someone being strangled and the air is thick with the smell of blood, something that if you hadn’t felt nauseous about before because of the hideki brothers, this would be sure to make you feel sick to your stomach, as you see the way that blood leaks from knife wounds you can barely make out on her form, covering her arms in a criss cross fashion, staining her clothes, the carpet beneath her.

katherine baker is dead and it looks like the person standing over her, the one who discovered this scene, part of him has died along with her.

you had been on edge throughout this entire week. a disease had been announced, & a possible ‘Patient Zero’ had been named by the snakes. some remained locked in their rooms, others tried to ignore what symptoms they were facing and power through it, & everyone remained suspicious of one another.

So of course, it was only a matter of time before the televisions flickered on & the sickening voice of animating eyes rang throughout the haze.

“soo, one of you sorry fucks finally caved in! really, I’ve been waiting a long time for this! It’s boring when you all just mope around and do nothing. but if you’re watching this--which you should be doing--then you already know what’s happened. that’s right, it’s your favorite snake in the haze with the latest details on the crime scene!”

there’s a cough from off screen & animating responds with a simple groan and wave of her hand. “yeah, yeah, I know! I can’t give away all the details here, duh. you’d better get over to Cafe Nox as soon as you can.”

your drained & worried body carries you to the entrance of Cafe Nox. had someone been stabbed? hung? maybe boiled in the kitchen fryer? these thoughts & any other worries run through your mine at the speed of light.

all of those thoughts couldn’t prepare you for what sight you laid eyes on when you entered the diner. AYANO ‘CHARLATAN’ TATEYAMA & HARUKA ‘POMPOMPURIN’ KOKONOSE are huddled close together on the ground with tears pouring from their eyes. there is a gross-smelling & lumpy piled of vomit nestled near the two. you stare in confusion. Haruka & Ayano are alive, & you cannot see any signs of a dead body in the cafe. you look around, but all you can see is two bowls of SOUP sitting on the table. they’re still full, almost as if only a few sips had been taken from them

it doesn’t make sense. it doesn’t make sense at all, until the television in the cafe turns on.

“ah, right. I forgot you’re all too stupid to figure out anything without our help. fine, fine, I guess I can tell you guys what’s up since you’ll take too long to figure it out. see those two idiots on the ground covered in their own vomit? they’re like that because they just ate the ‘Shark Fin Soup Special’, or should I say, our two victims: MANAMI “SYAKE” HIDEKI and MINAMI “SAMEKICHI” HIDEKI. have fun investigating, and we’re not responsible for cleaning up your disgusting vomit.”

the television shuts off once more, and it’s a wonder that you haven’t vomited onto the floor as well.

“Geez--you guys really don’t want to live, do you? It’s not like you have the time to be slacking off--I haven’t seen any debates, any one speaking about who are dear patient zero is, but I guess I’m the one who’s going to have to point you all in the right direction, or at least, in a direction. I’d start looking at Ms. Baker’s son, you know, the twelve year old--That kid looks pretty sickly if you ask me.”

you might have gotten a week of peace, but you know this routine by now, you should know it by now as it’s been the very same since you’ve came here. a moment of peace, only to be snatched away from you at the very last second--a false sense of security in truth, in order to make things more difficult to return to.

when the television begins to flicker on, you shouldn’t be surprised when a snake takes center stage--the same as last time, thieving looks to be ostensibly cheerful as usual, but of course, it’s to be expected. you can’t help the bile you taste in your mouth; before he begins to speak.

“so so did you enjoy your break? i know i did, since it meant time without you all whining about what we’re putting you through! i find it funny how one of the most disliked people here was the only one willing to do what needed to be done! such a shame; it seems like he had more heart than most of you!”

there’s a clearing of someone’s throat from behind the camera; thieving pausing for a moment before clearing his own, “right, right, moving on from that! well, we got a brand new motive for you all today and boy, is this one gruesome.”

“but they all have been, haven’t they? if i were you, i’d be tired of being nice by now. anyways, you’ve all been infected by a fatal disease and i’d say around the third, all of you are going to kick the bucket unless you do something, because unless you do, we won’t give you the cure for it!”

“and that something would be to kill our dear patient zero, the person the disease originated from!  so, unless you want to die, i’d suggest looking into it because you never know, it could be one of you! i personally would be looking at the people with the worse immune systems in this place, because it just makes sense, doesn’t it?”

congrats on making it through chapter five! since we fell a bit behind schedule again, we’ll be taking a three day week long break (21st-27th) before the next chapter begins! in that time we’ll get back on track for jobs & other things we need to take care of.

ATTEND TO YOUR SINS ZARC &.  LET US MARCH TOWARDS THE 5TH TRAGEDY !

oh, how predictable. zarc’s fate was predictable--he was idiotic through & through. an idiot, a jumble of constant anger & hostility towards ‘humans.’

but even when faced with death he keeps that smug grin on his face. he was a god, an unstoppable force. death from a group of ‘pathetic’ snakes is something he doesn’t fear. He welcomes death as an escape from the miserable humans that ruined his life. the humans that called for bloodshed in that dueling ring--the ones that made him & his beloved dragons fight day after day & until they couldn’t no more.

it is ironic when the the time for zarc’s execution comes & he is shoved mercilessly into the fighting ring by a snake. he spits at the ground--a sign of some last futile attempt at resistance while that smug grin still remains on his face.

but it will be gone soon--zarc will be slaughtered & broken down until that smug, shit-eating grin is wiped from his face. the gate on the opposite side opens & a creature all-too-familiar to zarc steps out. it’s odd eyes. his beloved dragon, his most trusted friend. zarc opens his arms to welcome the dragon with a warm embrace & to comfort it for whatever’s about to come. it does not accept that comfort, however. the dragon rushes forward with a roar & digs its claw into zarc’s shoulder. zarc is screaming & begging odd-eyes to stop (we’re friends, aren’t we odd-eyes? you trust me, don’t you?)

odd-eyes is relentless in his attack. there is blood everywhere & zarc swears he can hear the crowd cheering for more again. he can hear those cheers & cries for bloodshed in the back of his mind as odd-eyes slashes his leg. the cheers will be satisfied, as odd-eyes is close to finishing him off. zarc thinks he will never hear those blood-thirsty cries & that all will be over soon.

oh, how foolish he is. the snakes pull the gates open once more & three dragons rush out. dark rebellion, clear wing, & starve venom rush into the arena with that same ferocity that odd-eyes had. they cry out & then begin to attack zarc without hesitation. venom’s mouths bite at every inch of zarc’s body & when they are done dark rebellion takes over to shock him with lightning. the final blow comes when clear wing lifts his beaten & barely alive body into the air, and then sends it crashing into the ground with a bang. It kicks up dust in the arena floor & when the dust clears, the barely-recognizable & bloody body of zarc lies in the center of the arena.

the body does not move. the cheers for bloodshed & violence have stopped.
