i think some of these i relate to you on a more lyrical level (the archer, you're on your own kid, the lakes, tolerate it, clean) as far as how beautiful i think the songs are written and how i think you might relate to them

the archer - the mortifying ordeal of being known, and knowing yourself ? like the propensity to ruin things before they're ruined naturally, but also having something so precious that you can't stand yourself for trying to destroy it

YOYOK - we've had many conversations about this song inadvertently (growing up, becoming independent, coming of age, who are you?) and this song encapsulates that so much, of just trying something—anything—until you figure out what works

the lakes - this is one of the most beautifully written songs ever idk i think you would appreciate the word choice

tolerate it - probably one the best written songs on evermore, makes me super emotional, this kind of dismissal and belittling of love in ballad form omg

clean - something we indirectly talk about (protecting/being protected + being able to walk away/move on) and the acknowledgment that no matter how far you walk away, it doesn't mean that you don't want to go back

and some of them (delicate, willow, my tears ricochet, enchanted) to me are just a little more fun, but the overall message of belonging somewhere, having someone/something just to yourself still persists

delicate - this song is so possessive omg, but you can tell it comes from a place of fear, which you never usually hear in music,

willow - this is literally a love song but it's so intimately written and sung that i cannot imagine you not thinking of your partner

my tears ricochet - THIS SONG OMFG, i need to know what you think immediately, i think so heavily of my family, and i need to know if you think the same

enchanted - this again, is a love song, but it's so desperate, it's so "love at first sight", this song makes me want to uhaul so badly omg i can't listen to it too much
