This elderly woman was one of the leaders of demonstrations against the Vietnam War in 1968, when she was a student at Columbia University. Today, 56 years later, she returns to the same place and says, "Palestine must be free."

If you care about Palestine, and you care about your ability to join and organize protests for Palestine and other issues on the internet, then now is the time to care about KOSA. This bill is going to the senate early next week, according to omarsbigsister on TikTok. This bill will force everyone to upload their ID online, and essentially will result in the death of the third great American spaceβAKA, the internet. This third space is pretty much our last community space that isnβt completely interlocked with a capitalistic society, and that millions of Americans use! KOSA is not a bill that will protect kids, KOSA is a bill that will censor the internet, control and distort narratives, and affect freedom of speech for generations to come. Call. Your fucking. SENATORS. The amount of people Iβm seeing engage with this news is abysmal. They will do anything to censor your voice! Omarsbigsister made a linktree for this, so Iβm going to leave it in this post. You can also go to stopKOSA.com and sign the petition there. Do not sleep on this!!
Alright. There are a lot of politics surrounding this event, so much random bullshit that tries to obfuscate the simple fact that what is happening in Palestine is vile, and plainly wrong. When deciding whether or not you should step in and help, you must remind yourself that this isn't about the ''politics'' of the situation, this isn't about the bullshit arguing we make for 'both sides' whilst we sit safely within the confines of our homes - this is about humanity - Don't let people confuse you, or downplay the terrible acts that are happening. See your fellow person in trouble and help them when they're suffering, it's as simple as that.
Imagine how easy it is to spend $20 bucks on a subway sandwich and a side of chips, so instead of doing that, spend the equivalent helping people not die (or do even more!). I suggest you all spend some time donating, sharing with others and helping out where you can <3
On April 30th while reporting on the Students Revolution at Columbia University, CNN anchor Kasie Hunt made reference to Hind Rajab as 'A Woman Who Was Killed in Gaza."
Hind Rajab was six years old.
Palestine is NOT a trend. boycotting Israel-supporting companies is NOT a trend. your compassion for the innocent is NOT a trend. isreal was, is and WILL continue killing Palestinians and bombing Gaza for as long as the world is silent. do not stop talking about it. do not stop boycotting. never. stop.
Please remember Rafah as you talk about US protests for Palestine, the news I'm hearing from people there is nervewracking and it is bringing to mind the early days of the genocide. Please, please remember to focus on them.
Her name was Saly, she was five years old. She was like any child, she probably liked to play with her toys, she was probably learning to read, she probably like to spend time with her family and friends.
Maybe she would have been a doctor, or a farmer, or a engineer. Maybe she would have advanced the field of physics or medicine, written a best seller novel or stared in a major movie production; Or she might have had a quieter life, the world might have never known her name, but her friends and family would have and that might have been enough.
But no one will ever know now because Israel took those lives away from her, the tens of thousands of possibles that lay before each child burning like candle lights in cool summer night sniffed out in an instant. A last story shared by thousands of Palestinian children in Gaza.
In the USA we have the RIGHT to protest! We were founded on that principle. And what a Zionist piece of sh*t has to say about it doesn't f*cking matter..
The students have this right and they are allowed to protest about a literal genocide!
You will not take our attention away from Gaza and the Occupied West Bank!
I can't believe I need to say this but it's never too late to speak up and show your support for Palestine. What you're doing is never "not enough." Just talking about it is enough. Just raising your voice is enough.
And don't you DARE say otherwise to another person. You don't know shit about them. You don't get to call people performative without actual solid proof.
You think I'm overreacting??? Oh, I'm sorry, maybe it's because the owner of sunset makeup was called performative for putting the Palestinian flag as their profile pic when their family is LITERALLY PALESTINIAN. You want to know how I know that??? Because they were literally pushed to reveal that information.
Calling people performative doesn't do shit. It just pushes people away, puts supporters in uncomfortable positions, and forces actual victims to reveal painful things. SHUT THE FUCK UP.
i canβt believe this is happeningβ¦ iβve been thinking of the al-shifa siege for the past five six days and it has literally made me sick. when will this end?
