ohhhi still eat up the aaron face reveal oh my god. rewatch has me giddy. knowing that such a large part of aph's growing respect for him is the understanding that, while he doesn't act with any kind of allegiance to the general group, aaron is so gentle with the children and that is trustworthy. like its not even that they flock to him and he is grumpy about it, they are soooo enamoured by his mysterious chill ass vibes and he treats them with a relaxed respect. he just exists and treats them normally and they love it. he's sweet with them. he admits that he abandoned the capable adults in meteli at the first sight of danger to keep watch for donna and her kids/the children of phoenix drop instead and he does it with 0 strings attached. no one even knows he left. the exact same thing that aphmau does. she comes barrelling back to protect phoenix drop and she goes "wait wtf are YOU doing here, where's everyone else" and he's like "why the fuck would i know i left you guys to die to make sure the kids were ok" and this immediately earns her trust. she's incredulous that he would abandon them until she understands that he prioritised the families/children over the fight itself and of course that gets her. she literally did the same thing. she rushed back for her family, too. and he didn't even stay for the meteli fight the way she did, he literally booked it right back to phoenix drop the minute he knew there was a threat. of course aph considers aaron's relationships with the kids to be a marker of how 'good' of a person he is, even if he doesn't consider himself one in any regard. the fact that the children love and trust him. i love you aroace genderfucked aarmau. see my beautiful vision.

Ava x Pierce HCS?

Pierce absolutely keeps a photo of Ava in his wallet

Ava calls Pierce out on his brooding. “You're not mysterious, you're just standing in a corner looking like a rejected vampire novel cover.” He pretends to be offended. He secretly loves it.

They have matching scars from some awful mission where they nearly died. They always trace them on each other when they can’t sleep, like physical proof: we survived.

Ava talks in her sleep. Pierce has full-on conversations with her while she’s half-asleep and she never remembers.

Pierce once tried to cook for her. It was... not good. The fire alarm screamed, the eggs were somehow still raw and burnt, and Ava still told him “it was sweet.” He never tried again, but he brings her takeout now like a love language.

They have a weird ritual before going into danger. Ava bumps her forehead lightly against his, and Pierce always says, “Don’t die today. I’d be annoyed.” It’s morbid. But it’s romantic because it’s them.

Ava once stole his hoodie. He let her keep it but acted like it was a tragic betrayal. “It was my favorite. I wore it when I needed comfort.” Ava just raised an eyebrow and said, “Exactly.”

Pierce has Ava’s ringtone set to the song that annoys her the most just so he can annoy her.

They both hate hospitals. So they patch each other up at home whenever possible.

Ava gave Pierce a playlist once. He didn’t say anything about it, just took it. Later, she found out he listens to it every time he can’t sleep. Especially track 3—her favorite.

Their first real kiss was after a fight. Not dramatic, not in the rain—just late at night, standing in a hallway lit by a single flickering bulb. Pierce apologized without saying the words. Ava forgave him with a kiss.

Pierce keeps the little things she gives him. Buttons. Notes. A crumpled drawing she doodled during a stakeout. His drawer looks like chaos to anyone else, but it’s basically a shrine to her.

Ava threatened to stab someone once for flirting with Pierce. She wasn’t jealous. She just didn’t like their vibe. Pierce was confused and a little scared—and also extremely into it.

They send each other memes. The most unhinged, cursed memes imaginable.

Random assorted Zenix MCD headcanons because he's my son and I love him:

He did actually see Garroths face before. Only once, within the first year Garroth took him in. He was young and got sick, Garroth was treating him. Zenix, wracked with fever, was confused and scared to see a 6"4 huge guy faceless in armor. Garroth took off the helm to calm him down and stayed with him till the fever broke. Zenix doesn't remember this.

Told Gene he wished he'd been there for his execution because he would've brought popcorn

You know how shadow knight can like summon swords when theyre in their shadow knight form? They can form any weapon, but most people pick swords since yaknow Guard training thats what they know how to use. Zenix is the only shadow knight who will reform his weapon into a different one mid-fight. He doesn't fully know how to use all of them, but it makes him such an unpredictable fighter that it doesn't matter. What he lacks in years of skill he makes up for in taking advantage of guards years of being conditioned to expect sword and shield fighting.

Went looking for garroth once the nether was free again.

Does not like ANY of his coworkers. But if he HAD to pick a favorite, Sasha is funny when Genes not there.
