Home [A Kanker Sister’s Fanfiction]
NOTE: This is my fanfiction for the fanfiction weekend challenge. This is continuation from Hanky Panky Hullabaloo. I have had this idea for so long and I finally wrote it! Enjoy!
Walking half asleep up the dirt pathway of the trailer park, Patty Kanker saw the lights still on in the trailer home. She heaved a heavy tiresome sigh having no efforts to argue with her daughters tonight. Her feet ached and she could fall asleep in the dirt if she wanted to after a working a grueling shift at the diner.
The instant the screen door opened Lee and Marie scrambled around turning off the boxing match and tried to sneak up the stairs.
“What are you two doing up?” Their mother yelled catching them.
“Marie wanted to watch the championship and dragged me down here!” Lee confronted.
“I had nothing to do with this! It was you, snot nose!”
“Girls!” Patty’s voice was rather rough. The sisters mellowed down noticing how tired their mother looked. She let her long ginger hair fall to her shoulders and kicked off her shoes.
“Haven’t I told you I want you in bed before I come home? And it’s a school night.”
“Sorry, it’s just May is the clock around us.”
“Yeah, she’s the one who tells us when to go to bed.” Lee continued with Marie’s sentence.
Patty looked around the trailer home trailing over all the crumbs, misplaced items, or stains covered the walls and carpets. Some day. Some day she’d have this place cleaned up.

“I don’t want to take a bath” Marie Kanker
NOTE: Another anon’s line is in this story. Also this request is a follow up from this little story.
Slowly opening their bedroom door, Lee immediately turned up her nose from the stench.
Flies were swarming over Marie. She was face down in her pillow, splayed out. Her blue hair was tangled in knots. What the rest of Marie looked like was anyone’s guess.
“Yeah, you need a bath. Preferably yesterday,” Lee stated, sticking her tongue out in disgust.
“I don’t want to take a bath!” Marie’s muffled voice yelled out. She threw a pillow on top of her head to avoid listening to her sisters.
“Your pits are a jungle and they wreak!” Lee stated tapping at her sisters arm.
Marie turned over and smacked a pillow in her sisters face. Well, at least she moved.
Sighing, Lee sat on the bed though a good distance. None of them had been able to sleep in bed for a week. Their trailer only had one bed. Patty let her daughters have the bed while she slept on the couch. Beds were too expensive.
Their mother wished she could be around to console her daughter but work held her up. So it was up to Lee. The eldest of the girls. She was half older sister and half mom. It was a tough position.

Holding (A Kanker Sister’s Fanfiction)
“Holding everything in doesn’t help ya know?”
Marie was briefly startled by her sister. She had been leaning her head into her hand for the longest time, trying to clear her mind.
The hospital cafeteria was busy with families or patients. Some looked worried, sad, or just a mixture of emotions. At least they were all dealing with similar situations.
Taking a deep breath, Marie looked up at May. The poor woman looked so exhausted. She even looked pale. The bags under eyes didn’t help either. May was obviously trying to smile but it was too difficult.
“How is she?” Marie asked.
May was silent, struggling to find the right words. “Still the same. She wakes up every so often. Mom still recognizes our faces. She just asked where you are.”
Looking into the table, Marie sighed. “I just always thought Ma would live forever. She always had such a big heart.”
May touched her sister’s arm in comfort. “You can’t act as if it’s not happening.”
Marie was quiet. “I still feel like I’m a kid. Yeah, we’re all close to middle age but I feel completely helpless. I don’t know what I’m doing.”

"You know whenever I thought that one of the three us getting an Ed, I always knew that it would be May and not us." Lee and Marie talk about MayEd.
“You know whenever I thought that one of the three of us getting an Ed, I always knew that it would be May and not us,” Marie admitted in the sourest, most defeated voice.
It looked as if a twister hit the Kanker’s bedroom. All of Marie’s jewelry was splayed on the floor, some broken, due to the force it was whipped to the ground. Marie’s mascara was smudged along the bottom half of her face.
Lee stood a safe distance from Marie, by the doorway. She caught sight of her prom dress in the only mirror they had in the house. So many hours working for nothing. Tonight, she dreamed of her dance with Eddy.
To Lee’s surprise, Eddy actually asked her to go to the prom two months prior. She always thought Eddy found her disgusting and unapproachable. Before tonight’s events, she thought she’d made a huge miscalculation.
“She and big Ed do have a lot in common,” Lee finally stated.
“Yeah. She was really enjoying her dance.”
Lee quietly took her jewelry off., placing it lightly on the drawer she shared with her sisters. And then she took out the elastic holding her hair in a tight bun. It was so tight that it felt as if her brain was being squeezed out of her head.
Lee only wanted to make the effort to actually reveal her eyes. It was the first time she felt confident showing her eyes to the world. And Eddy wasn’t even interested.
“Do you think it was all a setup?” Marie asked, her voice unusually high pitched.

Typical isn't it? You wait 20 years for a dad and then 3 come along at once. - Lee Kanker!
“Typical isn’t it? You wait 20 years for a dad and then three come along at once!” Lee growled throwing her frustrated hands into the air. Once May was in the room she closed the bedroom door so their mother wouldn’t hear. She’d been through enough in the last couple of days.
“Yeah, great plan, May!” Marie confronted, sitting on the bed.
Shaking her head and blinking her eyes in shock, May was just about finished with all the unnecessary blame. “This isn’t my fault! You’re the one who brought up the fact that we had three separate dads!” she pointed a finger at Marie.
“And that didn’t mean I wanted to go in search for them to see what they were up to!” Marie stuck her face right into May’s.
“Now Mom won’t talk to us for the rest of our lives!” Lee stated. She sat down at the desk, facing the only mirror in the house.
“Yeah, all three of them ruined her life. So why’d we bring ‘em back?” Marie questioned. She was very regretful of finding her biological father. He was still drinking and just barely making enough money to keep an apartment.
“W-Wait, that isn’t true,” May tearfully confessed. “Arnie, well, my Dad, he’s changed.”
The other two were silent for a moment. Lee sniffled, but they weren’t sure if she were crying or not under that pile of hair.

Request: Marie, now a teenager, has taken an interest in mechanics. Her hair has grown to be long and messy and she's usually seen with a big, fat, cheap cigar in her mouth. She sometimes blows smokey kisses or smokey hearts. For one reason or another she decides to build a cannon to fire herself out of, and she somehow convinced Edd to help her with it. At one point, she lights the cannon with her cigar
Note: Sorry this took me so long. I hope you like it!
The Ed’s decided it was a good day to go to the circus. The circus hadn’t been in Peach Creek in years. And now that they were all out from their first year of college it made the day much more memorable.
“Do you think there will be magicians who will pull chickens out from their hat?” Ed asked.
“Those are bunnies, Ed.”
“I think it’s better chickens then bunnies. Remember Ed bloated up to the size of a gigantic grape fruit?”
The Ed’s laughed at their past memories when they entered through the tent flaps into a huge red tent that stretched on for miles into the sky. There were so many events going on inside. Animal tricks, trapeze, acrobats, clowns.
Eddy nudged hard into Edd’s side. Before Edd could scold Eddy his tongue felt as if it swelled up.
“Is that…”
“Marie?”

"Well,it's a simple question. Do you love the guy or not?" for EdMay.
“Well, it’s a simple question. Do you love the guy or not?” Marie questioned May who was pacing around the room.
Last night was one of the best nights of her life. She felt as if she were still dancing with Ed under the disco ball. And then they took a walk in the brisk night air where they shared their first kiss.
“I think I do. I’ve never felt this way before,” May answered still feeling completely love struck.
“How do you not know? Love is easy,” Lee remarked catching popcorn in her mouth.
May turned to his sisters. She looked at them with this half cold and yet amused look. “You two don’t know the half of what love is. After last night I feel like I want to laugh, sing, and cry every day. If I can’t stop thinking about Ed’s face does that mean I’m in love?”
Marie smirked putting her feet up on the couch. “Whenever I think of Ed’s face it’s usually monster movie and the way he runs after those chickens.”
“Maybe you should think about seeing a doctor,” Lee snickered.
May playfully whacked her sister with a pillow causing a pillow fight to erupt.
“Girls, would you stop it! Mom doesn’t want come home to another pile of feathers again.”
May sat back against the couch hardly paying attention to the TV. When she kissed Ed her insides felt as if they exploded with fireworks. One of the best feelings she could ever experience in her life.

"Where have you been?" For Ed x May
“Where have you been?” Ed asked his wife once she walked in through the door. The bottom of her eyes was still covered in dark circles from the lack of sleep. And they were also red, indicating that she’d been crying. And her face was pale. Lifeless.
“Out for a walk,” May answered, her voice having little to no energy. Moving as if she were a zombie, May placed her purse on the nearby chair in the kitchen. Distracted by their children playing out in the grass, May watched them from the window, a little smile appearing on her face.
“They’re lucky to have a backyard,” May deemed. It was a strange thing to say but Ed could understand the meaning behind it all.
Joining his wife at the window, Ed hugged her tightly around the waist, pulling her close. May looked as if she were in a trance only making Ed worry more.
“How were your sisters?” Ed asked.
May heaved a sigh. “I wish it wasn’t so hard for them to emote.”
“Eventually, they’ll come around…” Ed began.
“No, Ed!” May said hardly. She turned to face him, anger residing in her eyes. “Don’t you understand? Everything is on me! We have to take care of the funeral!”
“Why us?”

Hurt (A Kanker’s Sisters Fanfiction)
NOTE: This is another crossover based on the film, Happy Death Day,
Lee impatiently tapped her long, sharp fingernails against the table at the restaurant while May sadly looked over the view. The silence was unbearable.
Then the waiter returned to their table. “Would you like to order or are you still waiting for the third member of your party?”
May shook her head. “We’re still…”
“No!” Lee stood up. Her chair made this uncomfortable noise against the floor causing guests to look up at them. “Just get us the check!”
“But, Lee!” May argued.
“This is just gonna be the same as any other year, May! Now hop on it with that check!” Lee snarled at the waiter who ran off in a heartbeat.
To their surprise, Marie was standing at the doorway, her hands folded at her side, a guilty smile on her face. She was still wearing the shirt that Edd had given her to wear for the night.
“Marie!” Both Lee and May greeted surprised.
Avoiding their eyes, Marie approached and sat down without a word. Slowly, Lee sat back down. The sisters were all quiet.
“Sorry I’m late,” Marie apologized. “I…” How could she even begin to explain the events? They’d think she was drunk. Or hungover. When she was drunk last night, May called. Marie could hardly remember what she said, but she knew it wasn’t nice. “… Had a class run late.”

46 EdMay?
“Hey, I know you’re hurting… but, you’re not alone, okay?” May said as she cradled Ed’s head.
The boy picked his head up. Tears streaked his face. “I’m not?”
“They wanted to take my sisters and I away from my Mom. They did for a bit until my Mom promised she woulds change. And she did. But yours, she can’t.”
“I don’t want to be separated from Sarah.” Ed cried.
May held him closely rubbing his shoulder. She could hear the distant screaming upstairs. That was going on every time she was here. It was never going to stop. Although it was tough their mother stopped seeing all those men and worked for hours trying to raise her girls. Sometimes certain changes were hard.
“You’re never going to get separated, Ed. I promise.”
“Can you help?”
May made Ed look at her. “When haven’t I?”
Ed finally smiled. “You’re the best.”

For the sentence starter: “You don’t deserve this.” with EdMay?
Ed quickly bolted down the staircase to his room holding May’s hand.
So many thoughts were going through May’s head at what she just witnessed. She hadn’t seen a fight like that in ages.
Ed slammed the door to his bedroom.
He was holding himself against the door. It looked as if he were shaking. His breath was hoarse.
“Ed, is that what your mother is always like.”
He wouldn’t answer her. Ed walked over to his bed, picked up a comic book. Ed was trying to distract himself.
“It’s not going to work, Ed. It’ll always stay on your mind.”
Ed had been trying so hard to keep his face calm, but he it became too hard. The tears came.
“Is this what it’s always been like?” May asked.
“Yes.”
She came and sat down with him. May cuddled her boy friend’s head against her shoulder.
“You don’t deserve this. You and Sarah.”
“I don’t want to seperate us.” Ed said in hoarse breaths. He didn’t want to cry.
“That’s what my sisters and I thought. But, we’re still together. It was hard but my mom was able to keep the three of us. It’s better that we’re not with any of our dads due to how they treated us.
Ed hugged her so tightly. May held him and smoothed his ginger hair.
“Everything will be fine, Ed. I promise.”

Save (A Kanker Sister’s Fanfiction)
“I was trying to save you!” May ran after her fuming sister. She stumbled on the vertical hill. It was no use. Somehow Marie was able to climb the hill in her heels. Removing them, May ran after her sister.
“Just leave me alone!” Marie barred through her teeth shooting her sister a death glare.
She just wanted to get as far away from the music and people having a grand old time at the school dance.
May placed a hand on Marie’s shoulder to be pushed away. “Marie, would you stop this and talk to me?!”
“I got nothin’ to say to you!”
“You just said something!”
“Oh, shut up! And go be with your date!”
May grabbed her hand. “Not until you calm down! I’m not letting you walk home alone like this!”
Mascara dripped down Marie’s face. She just made it out from the gymnasium before anyone could see her cry. Then what would everyone say? Marie couldn’t bear to break her image.
“It’s okay to be upset, you know that, right?” May gently hugged her shoulders.
“I’m not crying!” Marie retorted, heaving a sob.
Offering her a tissue, Marie snatched it and wiped her eyes. Marie’s whole being looked as if it were smashed to pieces.

99. I don’t need a man, men are whiners.- Lee and Marie made the discovery that "their boyfriends" are gay for each other. All the while May is trying to console them, even if they deflect with "Yeah, easy for you to say, you got your man!" and such.
“I don’t need a man, men are whiners!” Marie was whacking her fists on the bed. Mascara covered her face and her head felt like it was going to explode. Prom night was supposed to be the highlight of ones school career. She’d been waiting for this night as long as she could remember.
Lee came and sat on the bed. She too was heartbroken from the scene she and Marie had to witness, but didn’t feel as sad like she expected.
“Cheer up, kid. You’ll find someone.”
“Double Dee was the one. I thought he liked me.” Marie’s voice trailed off. She was still sitting in her dress. It was the first item of clothing she ever bought. Their mother made it clear to the girls to save money they earned from their jobs on items of importance. Marie practically fought for the blue dress knowing Edd would like it.
“He hardly looked at my dress.”
Lee never saw Marie like this. She was always so confident letting anything get her down. And tonight she had her first heart break.
The door to the house opened and in arrived May. She had a dreamy look which slowly vanished when she looked at her sisters.
“Hey, I saw what happened. Uh, I’m sorry.”

"I saw you with him!!!" Kanker sisters fic.
“I saw you with him!” Marie lashed at May as they were walking home after a peculiar day of school. “don’t try to explain things. You knew Double Dee has the hots for me!”
“It was like we were under a spell.” May said. She was off in her own world trying to understand why Edd immediately took his hands away from hers. He looked embarrassed.
“Well, duh, we were under spells.” Lee said. “If I ever find the cupids or whoever made me fall in love with that stupid jock kid I’ll pulverize them!” she said curling her fists.
The girls continued to walk home. It was different from other days where they’d be talking or laughing. The Kanker’s were hardly ever silent. Now there was tension floating all around. A confusing tension. The girls had fights, but this wasn’t necessarily a fight.
May shot a nervous glance at Marie. She was not longer staring her down with that icy glare. Instead, Marie looked sad. Marie was never sad. She believed emotions to be underrated. May wished she could relate to her sisters so she could avoid feeling all these weird feelings and thoughts. She hardly knew how to summarize the days events.
“You know Double Dee and I were under a spell right? We weren’t… really in love.” May took a pause to say that because their feelings almost felt genuine.
As soon as they were inside their trailer home Marie’s bag slipped off her shoulder and thumped to the ground. That what her normal routine each day. Today the way she did it felt angrier

"I’m pregnant…and it’s yours." - Anyone you want!
“I’m pregnant… and it’s yours.”
Edd slumped against his chair immediately falling pale. Marie even placed the pregnancy sticky with the positive sign on the table in front of Edd.
He warned himself not to drink. This is where it brought him.
“I-I’m sorry,” Edd uttered. Those were the only words his voice could find. His stomach felt nauseous, churning. It resembled the night he was drunk. And found himself in bed with Marie the next morning.
“Why are you sorry?” Marie asked. She placed a hand on Edd’s shoulder. Edd was very surprised to hear this answer. He thought she would have been angry or upset. Instead, Marie had this pure look of excitement.
“You mean, you really want to? It’s not too… soon?” Edd asked relieved. That nauseous feeling slowly subsided.
“It may not be the best time, but I did want to have a child with you. Are you happy?”
Staring at Marie’s stomach Edd lightly pressed his hand on her stomach.

A Jawbreaker for an Ed [An Ed, Edd n Eddy Fanfiction]
NOTE: Can anybody who reads this please leave a review? It is for my senior thesis? Thanks and enjoy!
“This is it boys! A whole two months in school without a jawbreaker. I really need one of these,” Eddy beamed, practically bulldozing through the doors of the candy shop. He pounded the money on the countertop which was earned after a long overdue scam.
“I guess I can disclose that I could use a jawbreaker, too,” Edd admitted happily walking into the store with his school book bag hanging over his shoulder.
“Jawbreakers for the empty pit of my stomach, guys!” Ed agreed rubbing his grumbling stomach.
Their months back at school had been difficult for each Ed. The constant tests, pressure, and at one point being put against one another a jawbreaker was sure to fix their moods.
The Ed’s bought their jawbreakers and then went outside. They wasted no time shoving the oversized sugary, sugary goodness into their mouths and slurping.
“I feel itchy,” Ed said after a moment His skin was starting to turn an ugly red coloring from the spots he scratched in.
“Not now, Ed. I’m trying to concentrate,” Eddy said.
“But, I feel… woozy…”

"Whose gonna be the best man at your wedding?" EdEddEddy friendship.
“Who’s gonna be the best man at your wedding?” Eddy asked Ed.
Ed’s head shot up. He practically made his piles of papers fly off the table as if an airplane flew by. His eyes were bloodshot after staying up countless hours in the night planning he and May’s wedding.
“Oh… uh…”
Now Eddy looked guilty about asking the question. Edd uncomfortably hugged his arm. He too had been mulling over the question, but was afraid to ask.
Ed looked nervously at his friends. “Uh, we-well, Eddy…. um, you do make a good point. Double D… you… look very spiffy today!” Ed stammered nervously.
Edd put a hand on his friends shoulder. “Rest assured, Ed. I don’t mind if you choose, Eddy.”
“It’s alright to pick Double D,” Eddy insisted.
