ok i just want to share some thoughts about this.

firstly i am in NO way defending his comments, its truly disgusting and he was a grown ass man who should know better. full stop PERIOD.

at the same time he has continuously talked about having a rough child hood and how hes stuggled with no guidance so it is truly no surprise to me that he was a “bad person” in the past. We dont know him and dont know what hes really gone through

its also very telling watching ppl deactivate before he even gets the chance to explain himself, shows the relationship these people have to this man. If ur willing to deactivate a whole acc after 3 screenshots and two milliseconds maybe its for the best you separate yourself.

me personallyy i don’t even have my joost masterlist easily linked on my blog like. you have to LOOK to find my fics 😔 save yourself the hassle and just don’t interact with those blogs if that’s not what you like. especially if you’re underage. we all have mdni/18+ on our blogs so i mean it’s really just that easy.

it’s not your job to morally police the internet. especially on behalf of someone you don’t know, and you personally don’t know their stance on. i get a lot of people are parasocial w joost but uhh he’s not your friend. you don’t know him. just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean he also wouldn’t like it.

i understand if you’re young and uncomfortable with people writing smut about someone you look up to. but again if you’re underage you shouldn’t even be on those blogs to begin with. it’s okay to be uncomfortable with rpf, but going after people just because you disagree with them on something that is practically a non issue … is doing wayyy too much.

Idk what trans man needs to hear this but you're NOT evil or disgusting for being a man. You do NOT have to suffer for the sins of the patriarchy committed by cis dudes. Being a man doesn't invalidate the misogyny you experienced growing up or experience now. Being a man doesn't mean you deserve to be isolated. I feel like people forget most trans guys still had to grow up as girls.

We were still forced to be mature early

We were still told to not to take up space

We were still subject to female beauty standards

Our bodies were still treated as inappropriate

We were still pitted against each other

We were still excluded from “male” activities

We were still treated as lesser the boys

Those things don’t evaporate once we transition they’re fucking internalized. I constantly have to remind myself I’m allowed to exist. We don’t stop dealing with misogyny.
